Good night, people wide open etc we really need some corners who can play tight man etc.. Stafford just obliterated our secondary
The defensive backs also made quite a few big-time plays to keep the team alive throughout the game. Gus Bradley only rushing four guys and allowing Stafford all day to throw throughout 90% of the game didn't do our secondary any favors.

The left tackle for Peyton Manning was inducted in to the "Ring of Honor" last season - Tarik Glenn.
I know. I was just messing around and said Ryan Diem because he wore 71.

He is about to get a good dose of the trial by fire that Bernard got last year. Let us all remember that, even though we had a good win last week, this is still a building/growing year for us. Let's keep that same energy with the team tomorrow.
The reps will serve him well in the long term. I expect things to look ugly at times but hopefully, Blake can come in and put in a serviceable performance and show us why the Colts drafted him in the fourth round throughout the game.

Did he block for Peyton? That’s the only GOAT that played for the Colts recently that I know of.
Ryan Diem?

I knew the first time I heard this guy talk football that he was going to be the right choice in taking this team back to relevency.

I remember being upset with Chris Ballard when he traded away Nyheim Hines for Zack Moss. I didn't know about Nyheim wanting out of Indy at the time but either way, I was still heartbroken. Zack Moss has been phenomenal this season and has made me forget all about Nyheim Hines. Hopefully, he'll remain a member of the Colts for a very long time.

Good riddance.

MPJ is solid on and off the field and deserves a nice lengthy contract extension from the Colts this off-season. He's suffered through the QB circus carousel over the past four seasons and never once complained or asked for a trade. People complain that he's not a top 10-15 WR in the league, but to me his value toward the team and its future is significant. I would be more than fine paying him anywhere between 15-20 million a season in order to keep him throughout the entirety of AR5's rookie deal. The Colts can afford to overpay guys like Pittman and Taylor if they choose to while guys like Richardson, Raimann, and Franklin, aren't currently riding big contracts. Man, if the Colts can manage to keep Pittman, and bring JT back and get on board while being able to bring in another reliable play-making receiving weapon to compliment MPJ as the #1 or #2 while they have their rookie QB on his rookie contract, that would be HUGE for the franchise and the growth of Anthony Richardson moving forward.
PAY MPJ!

Didn't Jackson fumble the ball twice?

I'll admit I never understood handing Will Fries the starting RG spot without bringing in a veteran to push and compete with him. Chris Ballard did the same thing last season with Pryor and Pinter and look what happened. The depth behind the starters in the trenches is by far the worst in the league and the Colts are 1-2 injuries away from repeating 2022 all over again with how terrible the line played.

Richardson got the right coach. Stroud has a defensive coach and I don’t trust Reich.
Reich is a terrible coach. Lol.

I've always thought Stroud was a bust and Young wouldn't succeed or develop correctly under a guy like Reich. AR5 is in the best situation out of the three IMO.

Paye looked solid last season before the ankle injury. I'm praying this kid can stay healthy and on the field because I love what I saw from him today.

He looked solid in his first-ever game against a very good Jaguars team. It's hard to win without a running attack and no elite players at the WR or TE spots. Chris Ballard needs to get aggressive and do whatever it takes to get talent around AR5. You literally have your QB and LT on their rookie deals. No excuses!

I'm not impressed at all either. They seem mediocre at best, even for practice squad players.
Look at that we actually agreed on something. Too bad it wasn't something positive! LOL!

The national media really made me dislike Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills over the past few years, but seeing this makes me like the guy a lot more.

Jaguars 31-Colts 20.
I think the Colts could've had a legit shot to win this game if they had (Taylor and Woods) and were able to bring in quality depth at the guard and center spots.

I'll give a ton of credit to the media for finally pushing Ballard and asking him the tough questions.

Not to sound like a negative Nancy, but is anyone else not impressed at all with the practice squad players?

Keeping a below-average corner over a guy with so much potential in Darius Rush blows my mind.

Some would mark today's waivers as a bit of a "tribute" to the mistakes Chris Ballard has made over the years:
DE Terrell Basham (2017 3rd round) waived by Buffalo
DB Nate Hairston (2017 5th round) waived by Arizona
DE Kemoko Turay (2018 2nd round) waived by Atlanta
WR Daurice Fountain (2018 5th round) waived by Chicago
RB Jordan Wilkins (2018 5th round) waived by Detroit (I think)
WR Deon Cain (2018 6th round) waived by Philadelphia
DE Ben Banogu (2019 2nd round) waived by Dallas
T Julien Davenport (2021 free agent) waived by NY Giants
T Dennis Kelly (2022 free agent) waived by Philadelphia
And that's just today's news.
Ballard really struck out trying to draft those mid-round Defensive Ends back then.
