  1. Give me one full season with Anthony Richardson/Alec Pierce before I throw in the towel on the kid. It takes a lot of great wide receivers 2-3 years to finally catch on and become productive. Give Pierce the same opportunity as everyone else.

Injury prone… Injury prone would be Anthony Gonzalez. Injury Prone is not Richardson getting slammed to the ground with his arm extended by a 300lb DT.

Can’t believe the absolute nonsense and narrative some people still say about this situation. Unlucky hits happen. Is Tua injury prone after what happened to him previously? No.

    Just stop this crap.

Glad someone on here gets it.

Regardless of the outcome of the game yesterday, I am STILL very happy with this coach and team....... I was expecting only 4-5 wins.

But I think we are all in agreement.....  This team has some holes to fill in the offseason and we need health at QB position for AR5

If I look at Colts FAs, I think these amounts would bring these needed players back, some of these numbers come from an Oct.  Stampede Blue article that I tweaked.

    Grover Stewart - $12M

    Michael Pittman Jr - $22M

    Kenny Moore - $9M

    Gardner Minshew - $7M

    Tyquan Lewis - $3M

    Julian Blackmon - $6M

    Zack Moss - $3M

    Rigoberto Sanchez - $3M

    Total — $65M -Total $ to spend is 75M

We will need at least 6M to sign rookies leaving a whopping $4M "free"

However.......  with signing bonuses, the Colts can "Play games" (Like KC, and MOST other teams do)

You can move part of the above salary levels to get the one thing this team desperately needs

A TOP SHELF DE, consistent pass rusher

The player that we need to bid on is D. Hunter that is on the Vikings today.

This will cost us 21-23M. This can be added with "cap games" and restructuring

If you think about it the most expensive players are typically the Quarterback, the Left Tackle, and a Defensive end

We are in a unique position, that we are in a very favorable but TEMPORARY situation have two of the three expensive contracts on rookie contracts

I think we need to move THIS offseason, and this team with the right adds, could compete next year for the Superbowl

I also added the following draft (From a simulator)

This yields a new shut down CB to start, (If Cooper Dejean falls I would happily take him)

A "separation" blazing speed WR (With hands) to be opposite of Pittman

A new LB to play SSLB spot

And a playmaking FS...... MUCH needed on this team

I traded back in the first, which is EXACTLY what I think CB will do

    Let me know your thoughts

I think Zack Moss and Gardner Minshew played themselves into making more than the number you posted. Everyone else looks to be about where I would have them if I had to predict how much I think they'll end up getting in FA. But I would be more than happy if the Colts off-season played out similar to your prediction.

We will see on Bradley.  Still two games and hopefully more to go.  The Colts made a conscientious decision to draft young corners last year and ride with them.  They were drafted to fit Gus’s system as zone corners not press.  These were players Gus and Ballard thought would fit the system.  So far they are progressing and at times showing flash.  Other times they make mistakes.  Our defense was getting at least one turnover every game until yesterday.  Quite a few interceptions i believe.  So we will see.  If Steichen wants his own guy so be it.  My guess is we’ll be playing zone again no matter who is brought in.

I think he's gone no matter what happens the rest of the season.

  5. This has been a glaring issue during Chris Ballard's tenure as Colts GM since he was hired in 2017. AR5 and Jonathan Taylor are probably the only two game-changing play-makers the Colts have on offense skill but MPJ can be added to that conversation after the incredible season he's had in 2023. But the Colts need another game-changer at WR or TE. I feel like Jelani Woods has the potential to be a stud but we haven't seen him since 2022. I like our young TE group but if the Colts have a shot at getting Brock Bowers, I'm all in on drafting him in the first round or another WR to pair with Pittman, Pierce, and Downs. Steichen has shown he's the guy so Chris Ballard needs to realize that and make sure he does whatever it takes to go and get certain players Shane Steichen feels like could take this team to the next level. You need to take advantage of having your rookie QB in the second year of a rookie contract which means now is the time to go out and spend a little money and surround him with as much talent as possible.

  6. The league has been exposing these older coaches a ton lately because of their stubbornness to adapt during the game which is one of the many reasons Frank Reich is no longer here. I know life is great when your four defensive linemen are able to create constant pressure and get to the QB but that doesn't happen every game and you need to adapt throughout the game and make the necessary changes or try something different. I never understood the concept of sitting back and not bringing constant pressure with additional players blitzing a backup QB. Why allow a backup to sit back in the pocket and allow them to get comfortable and give them a chance to pick apart your defense? The Colts have players like Speed & Moore II just to name a few you can blitz and create misery for the opposing QB. There's no way Gus Bradley is back with the Colts in 2024. Shane Steichen needs to go out and hand pick his guy.

  7. The fact the Colts have won 8 games with Gardner Minshew starting 2/3 of the games this season while still having two winnable games to go should be enough for people to get off his back. Minshew Mania has earned himself a nice extension or pay raise wherever he signs. I would love to have him back but not for anything over $10 million a year.

  8. It's such a shame he hasn't been on the field lately. He missed so much of training camp and the beginning of the season but when he did play he looked head and shoulders better than what anyone was probably expecting. Hopefully the Colts can get him back soon.

  9. Gus Bradley is strange and has a reputation for doing this crap like when he had Brandon Facyson starting over Isaiah Rodgers last year because he was close to Facyson even though Rodgers was head and shoulders better than him in every facet of the game. There is no reason why Nick Cross isn't starting over Rodney Thomas in 2023.

Too soon. Way too soon. Maybe , maybe if AR turns out to be a wise choice and we’re back to winning, until then, Irsay won’t risk the boos that would be forthcoming.

Too soon? It's been over four years and the only reason the fans reacted the way they did was because of Adam Schefter breaking the news during the final preseason game. Trust me, the day Andrew Luck shows up during a Colts game for his induction into the ring of honor that place is going to explode in cheers.

  11. This one is gonna hurt for a very long time because 53 was on pace to be a first-ballot Hall of fame inductee and a generational talent. He was on a record-setting pace, unlike anyone who played the same position before him. By far the best Colts linebacker in history and before the injury he was definitely one of the best of all time. I understand the Colts' decision to waive him because he clearly is nowhere near the same player he once had been. A big part of me would like to see him sit out the rest of the season and continue to rehab throughout the off-season. Maybe sign with a team during training camp if he feels like things are heading in the right direction. But if he still isn't anywhere close to being the player he once was, he should highly consider retirement.
