  1. 53 looked terrible for nearly two full seasons while making $20 million a year but is sitting here blaming the Colts for giving up on him? He's joking, right?
  2. I think Zack Moss and Gardner Minshew played themselves into making more than the number you posted. Everyone else looks to be about where I would have them if I had to predict how much I think they'll end up getting in FA. But I would be more than happy if the Colts off-season played out similar to your prediction.
  3. I think he's gone no matter what happens the rest of the season.
  4. This has been a glaring issue during Chris Ballard's tenure as Colts GM since he was hired in 2017. AR5 and Jonathan Taylor are probably the only two game-changing play-makers the Colts have on offense skill but MPJ can be added to that conversation after the incredible season he's had in 2023. But the Colts need another game-changer at WR or TE. I feel like Jelani Woods has the potential to be a stud but we haven't seen him since 2022. I like our young TE group but if the Colts have a shot at getting Brock Bowers, I'm all in on drafting him in the first round or another WR to pair with Pittman, Pierce, and Downs. Steichen has shown he's the guy so Chris Ballard needs to realize that and make sure he does whatever it takes to go and get certain players Shane Steichen feels like could take this team to the next level. You need to take advantage of having your rookie QB in the second year of a rookie contract which means now is the time to go out and spend a little money and surround him with as much talent as possible.
  5. I'm not the least bit shocked with the result. I knew this game could end up going a couple of different ways and the Falcons beating down the Colts didn't shock me one bit.
  6. The league has been exposing these older coaches a ton lately because of their stubbornness to adapt during the game which is one of the many reasons Frank Reich is no longer here. I know life is great when your four defensive linemen are able to create constant pressure and get to the QB but that doesn't happen every game and you need to adapt throughout the game and make the necessary changes or try something different. I never understood the concept of sitting back and not bringing constant pressure with additional players blitzing a backup QB. Why allow a backup to sit back in the pocket and allow them to get comfortable and give them a chance to pick apart your defense? The Colts have players like Speed & Moore II just to name a few you can blitz and create misery for the opposing QB. There's no way Gus Bradley is back with the Colts in 2024. Shane Steichen needs to go out and hand pick his guy.
  7. The fact the Colts have won 8 games with Gardner Minshew starting 2/3 of the games this season while still having two winnable games to go should be enough for people to get off his back. Minshew Mania has earned himself a nice extension or pay raise wherever he signs. I would love to have him back but not for anything over $10 million a year.
  8. Love Steichen's coaching staff! Can't wait until Gus is gone and Shane is able to hire his own DC.
  9. Tyquan Lewis living large off those one-year contracts every year.
  10. It's such a shame he hasn't been on the field lately. He missed so much of training camp and the beginning of the season but when he did play he looked head and shoulders better than what anyone was probably expecting. Hopefully the Colts can get him back soon.
  11. Brents CB1 once he returns. Jones CB2 Moore CB3.
  12. Gus Bradley is strange and has a reputation for doing this crap like when he had Brandon Facyson starting over Isaiah Rodgers last year because he was close to Facyson even though Rodgers was head and shoulders better than him in every facet of the game. There is no reason why Nick Cross isn't starting over Rodney Thomas in 2023.
  13. Too soon? It's been over four years and the only reason the fans reacted the way they did was because of Adam Schefter breaking the news during the final preseason game. Trust me, the day Andrew Luck shows up during a Colts game for his induction into the ring of honor that place is going to explode in cheers.
  14. This one is gonna hurt for a very long time because 53 was on pace to be a first-ballot Hall of fame inductee and a generational talent. He was on a record-setting pace, unlike anyone who played the same position before him. By far the best Colts linebacker in history and before the injury he was definitely one of the best of all time. I understand the Colts' decision to waive him because he clearly is nowhere near the same player he once had been. A big part of me would like to see him sit out the rest of the season and continue to rehab throughout the off-season. Maybe sign with a team during training camp if he feels like things are heading in the right direction. But if he still isn't anywhere close to being the player he once was, he should highly consider retirement.
  15. He's like a more athletic Peyton Manning. Whoever is lucky enough to draft him is gonna be set for 15 years.
  16. Damn, that makes me happy knowing he attended the game and got to see how appreciated and loved he is in Indianapolis. I wish they could get Andrew Luck to a game and do the same for him. He deserves it more than anyone.
  17. I'm not gonna trash Alec Pierce until I see him play an entire season or at least 2/3 of one with Anthony Richardson at QB.
