  1. I like that Howell has stepped in and done a great job of playing safety. With that being said I know a few plays where he had the guy wrapped up only for the player to break contain for extra yards.

When Landry played and hit the player went no further.......I can't wait for him to come back. When he is on the field our whole defense seems to play better, just like bob used to

  2. I just wanted to post this before all the Debbie Downers start to chime in………

Look. His eyes are not bloodshot, dilated, or glassy so just cut out the substance abuse crap right now.

He is an owner who is happy with his team and is fired up about it. Who on this board that are colts fans can’t say the same thing?

He is a person who enjoys social media. Who on this board can say they don’t? If you didn’t you wouldn’t be here.

He is an owner who likes to interact with the fans. We interact with each other all the time. Why can’t he have that same privilege? For years most of us griped about how Polian ignored and sometimes acted like he despised us. So when we have our owner trying to interact with us it is a problem?

Hasn’t he put a product on the field for the last decade and a half that we can be proud of?

So what is the freakin’ problem people?

    wellsaid

  3. Right ON... I wish Indy wore the all white ALL the time... like the Cowboys use to unless a team forced them to change.

I do dislike the Blue jerseys. The all whits is "classic" and a very "traditional" look... which still today looks stellar.

The Blue just does not look as good for some reason IMO. Indy tried blue pants with the white jerseys and it was ok.. but the all white just looks GOOD.

Manning wears Colts white... SB win. Manning wears Colts blue...... SB L... :(

It's the uni .... it matters. hehe..

    Funny you mentioned that.......

When Colts wear white in Super Bowl they win, when they wear blue they lose,

Colts wore white in superbowl victory's over Dallas Cowboys & Chicago Bears

Colts wore blue in superbowl losses to N.Y. Jets and New Orleans Saints

  4. Notice no one was wearing a jersey or team gear in the stands......the NFL has found a cash cow in apparel. I wonder what that makes per year. I'm talking jerseys, flags, cups, coolers, hats, coats.....etc. I bet its alot. What a great run business.

You know what else is cool. Even if a team stinks sometimes half the country can see them. i think its great that every team gets some kind of showing.

Not like the other sport like NBA. If your not Boston, LA, Chicago, Miami your not getting on TV

I love the everything about the NFL :fb:

  5. Not sure why everyone want to trade Freeney for draft pics, unload contract, other people....etc, From what i have read he has talked to Reed and Lewis from Baltimore(his friends) and they assured him he is going to love the D the Colts put in place. I think if the coaching staff wanted to really unload him they would have traded him for like a 7th rounder before the draft.

I think the coaching staff loves the idea of having Freeney and Mathis rush the QB. You know what, i think the COlts are prepared to pay his large hit this year and if he takes off in this new D, i think they resign him next year and keep him until he is done playing. He is still playing at a high level.

DF has always been a team player and never complained about anything. He sold me on his character when he played on the bad ankle in the SB.......

  6. I couldn't agree more. I believe these are true football minds brought together to create a different type of winner here. It seems to be a more tough minded regime who knows football. I am not saying this because they are our coaches, i say this because they have been brought in from other winning franchises. The Eagles / Ravens may not have been SB winners lately but they always seem to have good players.

  7. haha i love some of these reactions......i will give Grigson and Pagano the benefit of the doubt. They are the talent evaluators, and we have to trust their judgment. I was reading in the star the article about this receiver and it was mentioned that grigs also picked desean jackson. Stats, size, and overall game is what Hilton reminds the reader of. We can only hope.

You can kind of see what the brain trust is doing here. they are building an offense which IMO was totally gutted. I don't think are defense is going to be as bad as everyone thinks, plus we have alot more picks yet for players.......this is really fun to watch the transformation.

  8. Haven't heard anything as of yet. This will be my 7th season as season ticket holders (2005 was my first season). Hoping to move down seats! I've been trying for every year now and to no avail (hard to do with 3 tickets). Hopefully this will be the year!

Hopefully you can move down.....There seems to be movement. I just called and got 2 season tickets. I never have been on a waiting list. I heard there were 4000 so i gave it a shot and called the Colts ticket office. They called me back and i got 2 in section 663(which i requested). I want to be part of this bulding process and new era. Next year i will start the requests for more expensive seats but this will be fine for now.

  9. Aah, the Bengals vs Colts game 4 snooze fest!!! :) :)

Wasn't typically game 4 of the preseason where the starters don't play. I think thats the way it was before but if i'm not mistaken the previous regime said its because the starters knew the offense and they wanted to see the guys before they cut. Makes sense but we may see starters in game 4 for a little while in the 1st qtr because they will be learning a new system also. I think that how teams do it with rookie QB's.

  10. i say it's possible the Colts go 8-8, the reasons are

    1. a more talented QB via the draft, and no chance of painter playing

    2. the easiest schedule in the league(or 1 of the easiest)

    3. IMO a better offensive line

    4. again in my opinion a better offensive/defensive balance(FINALLY!)

    5. the last but not the least that some people overlook is i think we finally have a coaching staff with a direction and a purpose

i personally think last year the team at some point, and it showed in their play, that they gave up on the coaching regime. I believe that the players regardless what a few publicly said did not believe in Caldwell or what they were trying to accomplish.

Man i can't wait to see a coach on the sidelines who will coach!

  11. I'm glad you made it. I know others that have made it through and others who have not.

i agree it depends on the individual......Some people have already made it and can't shake the demons of addiction....please see whitney houston, jimi hendrix, janis joplin, river phoenix, john belushi.......etc all walks of life and unfortunately the list of stars with drug problems will always have new members
