Jonathan Williams has made good use of his touches
-
Muhammed playing well enough to be the starter while Sheard is out.
-
Nate Hairston has not looked good to me so far. Phillips and Muhammed have had some decent pressures off the edge. Ryan Kelly and AC are showing how important they are to the O-Line, though the basic play calling contributes to poor O-Line play.

Had 53 catches for 485 yards with 2 TDs. I think he'll stick around for now but I could see them moving on from him if/when the younger players surpass him.

It's been awhile since I heard his name. Glad to see him back on an NFL roster.

Autry had a pretty good year in 2017 with the Raiders. Only started 3 games but had 5 sacks and 7 passes knocked down at the line. Great find by Ballard for our interior d-line.

I understand that the rating system was changed this year and more players will be in the 60-80 range, but I question why Darius Leonard is an 84 OVR when Derwin James is 87 OVR and Leighton Vander Esch is 86 OVR. I think James and LVE are both phenomenal young defensive stars, but they should not be higher than Leonard after Leonard wins DROY. They should all be at 87 or Leonard at 87 and those two at 86 OVR.

Totally disagree there. Accuracy is suspect, yes!!! But he has plenty of arm strength, IMO. His issues border around his accuracy, deep or middle. However, if he has a guy with the catch radius of Hopkins, he just needs to be what Stafford was for Megatron, use that catch radius and get it to his vicinity. He has plenty of arm strength to lead a speedster like Fuller, and has done so several times over the last 2 years.
Fine aspects of QBing like reading blitzes and making decisions under pressure, he has some ways to go when compared to Luck.
I went back and watched some more clips of Watson and I see that he has a better arm than I gave him credit for. During the combine I remembered the analysts mentioning his arm was not as good as other QBs in that draft based on ball velocity. I think Watson's throws were around 49 MPH, while most throw in the mid-50s or higher. But based on the clips I watched, his arm looks fine, it's more so the accuracy and QB fundamentals.
-
Watson had a pretty good year, 4165 yards (+551 rush yards) and 26 TDs (+5 Rush TDs) with 9 INTs. He is a good game management QB. He'll give you around 250 yards with a TD pass or two (only threw more than 2 TD passes in a game once last season: 5 TDs against Miami) and he'll scramble for some first downs. His main issue is his arm. He does not have great arm strength for deep throws and his accuracy falters at times. He's a good enough QB with his athleticism to make the playoffs on a good team, especially with Hopkins to throw to. He also did a good jon this year considering he dealt with an O-line that got him sacked 62 times. However, I don't see him as a superstar or a top 10 QB. He's definitely not a terrible QB, but right now he's more middle of the pack around 16th best QB.

Colts have went 0-2 to start the season from 2014-2017, and lost the first game of the year every year except against the Raiders in 2013. Colts need to set a new precedent of staying in rhythm all season and not being in must win scenarios during Weeks 3-5.

Obviously a lot can happen between now and the regular season, but I think Wilkins is on this team in September. I think it will be more a question of is Spencer Ware going to show enough in camp and pre-season for the Colts to carry him as a 4th RB. I think Wilkins is safe whether they keep 3 or 4 RBs.

Can't say that I agree that Mack is the 24th best starting RB, when he has Josh Jacobs at #21 without taking a snap yet and Damien Williams at #20.
Mack's NFL statistical ranks
16th in Rush Yards with 908
Tied for 7th in TDs with 9
6th in Rush Yards/Game with 75.7
2nd in Postseason Rush Yards with 194

Great write up! I'll give Grigson credit for drafting Hilton and Ryan Kelly. He didn't get many picks rights, but we got two impactful players from his drafts. Definitely not the ideal as you would want multiple impact players over that many drafts, but at least we got two studs out of it.

Pierre Desir - 80 OVR
Matthias Farley - 77 OVR
Clayton Geathers - 80 OVR
Nate Hairston - 72 OVR
Malik Hooker - 85 OVR
Derrick Kindred - 73 OVR
Christopher Milton - 65 OVR
Kenny Moore CB - 81 OVR
George Odum FS - 70 OVR
Marvell Tell III - 71 OVR
Khari Willis - 72 OVR
Quincy Wilson - 77 OVR
Rock Ya-Sin - 75 OVR
Special teams
Luke Rhodes LS - 36 OVR (LS are always disrespected and placed as TEs)
Rigoberto Sanchez P - 80 OVR
Adam Vinatieri K - 81 OVR
At the launch ratings for Madden 19, Colts had nine 80+ OVR players. At the end of the season, they had 16 80+ OVR players. My prediction has 21 players over 80 OVR. I know Madden isn't the official word on how good players are, but it shows our team is improving and is getting better players and younger players are developing.

Pick wise, here's my scale based on how close a player was picked:
A+ = exact spot
A = 1 to 3 spots off
A- = 4 to 6 spots off
B+ = 8 to 10 spots off
B = 11 to 13 spots off
B- = 14 to 16 spots off
C+ = 17 to 19 spots off
C = 20 to 22 spots off
C- = 23 to 25 spots off
D+ = 26 to 28 spots off
D = 29 to 31 spots off
D- = 32 to 34 spots off
F = 35+ spots off
Round 1 Pick 26: DL Jeffrey Simmons Mississippi State Actual Pick: R1 #20 to Titans
Grade: A- Doesn't surprise me he went as high as #20. Top 10 talent when healthy
Round 2 Pick 34: S Darnell Savage Jr. Maryland Actual Pick: R1 #21 to Packers
Grade: B Ended up being the top S prospect off the board
Round 2 Pick 59: WR J.J. Arcega-Whiteside Stanford Actual Pick: R2 #57 to Eagles
Grade: A Pretty close on this one
Round 3 Pick 89: DT Renell Wren Arizona State Actual Pick: R4 #125 to Bengals
Grade: F Went a lot later than I thought he would
Round 4 Pick 129: DE Anthony Nelson Iowa Actual Pick: R4 #105 to Bucs
Grade: C- I was in the right round but he went in the early 4th when I thought late 4th
Round 4 Pick 134: T Chuma Edoga USC Actual Pick: R3 #92 to Jets
Grade F: Off my a wide margin here but he is a solid prospect to develop at #92
Round 5 Pick 164 - TE Foster Moreau LSU Actual Pick: R4 #137 to Raiders
Grade: D+ I think he's good to be a good TE. Good pick by the Raiders.
Round 6 Pick 199 - Benn Burr-Kirven Washington Actual Pick: R5 #142 to Seahawks
Grade: F Due to his size I thought he would be a later round prospect in the 6th
Round 7 Pick 240 - CB Isaiah Wharton Rutgers Actual Pick: Undrafted
Grade: B- The last pick was #254, so to be undrafted I was off by 15 spots.
Overall: C First 4 out of 5 were close but the remaining picks were quite off

Charles Omenihu
Interior DL
Renell Wren
Gerald Willis
Daylon Mack
Daniel Wise
Tight End
Foster Moreau
Dax Raymond
Issac Nauta
Alize Mack
Runningback
Mike Weber
Alex Barnes
Benny Snell
Offensive Line
David Edwards
Dru Samia
Mitch Hyatt
Derwin Gray

Will include picks up until Pick 26 and Pick 34 to show what the draft board is looking like with our first two picks.
Round 1
1. ARI - QB Kyler Murray Oklahoma
2. SF - DE Nick Bosa Ohio State
3. CIN via NYJ - QB Dwayne Haskins, Ohio State
4. OAK - OLB/DE Josh Allen Kentucky
5. TB - DT Quinnen Williams Alabama
6. NYG - DE Montez Sweat Mississippi State
7. JAC - T Jawaan Taylor Florida
8. ATL via DET - DT Ed Oliver Houston
9. WAS via BUF - QB Drew Lock
10. DEN - ILB Devin White LSU
11. NYJ via CIN - OLB/DE Brian Burns Florida State
12. GB - TE T.J. Hockenson Iowa
13. MIN via MIA - OL Andre Dillard Washington State
14. DET via ATL - DE Rashan Gary Michigan
15. BUF via WAS - WR D.K. Metcalf Ole Miss
16. CAR - DE Clelin Ferrell Clemson
17. NYG - G/T Jonah Williams Alabama
18. MIA via MIN - C/G Garrett Bradbury NC State
19. BAL via TEN - LB Devin Bush Michigan
20. PIT - CB Byron Murphy Washington
21. NE via SEA - TE Noah Fant Iowa
22. TEN - DT Christian Wilkins Clemson
23. HOU - T Cody Ford Oklahoma
24. OAK - RB Josh Jacobs Alabama
25. PHI - CB DeAndre Baker Georgia
26. IND - DT Jeffrey Simmons Mississippi State
Tillery might very well be the pick here, but Simmons is top 10 talent when healthy and is great value towards the end of the first round. As long as the ACL injury checks out with the medical staff and there are no evident setbacks, he would be a great snag at 26.
27. OAK - CB Greedy Williams
28. LAC - DL Jerry Tillery Notre Dame
29. KC – S Jonathan Abram Mississippi State
30. GB – WR Marquise Brown Oklahoma
31. NYG via LAR - QB Daniel Jones Duke
32. SEA via NE - S Nasir Adderley Delaware
Round 2
33. ARI - WR AJ Brown Ole Miss
34. IND - S Darnell Savage Jr. Maryland
Great ball skills and coverage IQ combined with great burst and acceleration in tackle pursuit. Would be a great fit in the secondary paired with Hooker. I think he has the potential to be the best safety prospect in this draft.
Round 2 Pick 59: WR J.J. Arcega-Whiteside Stanford
Big WR that can be another red zone threat for Luck. Strong hands and can box out the DB for the ball. Funchess and Whiteside on the outside with Hilton in the slot would be fun for Luck.
Round 3 Pick 89: DT Renell Wren Arizona State
With Simmons out for the year, Wren provides immediate help in the DL rotation. Wren and Simmons can develop into the future duo at DT and will provide great rotational DL depth.
Round 4 Pick 129: DE Anthony Nelson Iowa
Outstanding length at 6'7" and has great quickness to get around the edge. Good athlete that can learn to be a valuable 4-3 DE. Ballard preaches to have the DL two lines deep, adding Nelson, Wren, and Simmons gives us a deep DL for the future with Turay, Lewis, Ward, and Stewart.
Round 4 Pick 134: T Chuma Edoga USC
A great athlete for an OL and has promising traits to develop into a solid T. Great run blocker but needs pass blocking traits developed. He can be used in 6 OL packages for run formations and can take over for Castonzo when he develops better pass protection.
Round 5 Pick 164 - TE Foster Moreau LSU
A great run blocker that can develop into the Jack Doyle role. Ebron and Doyle are on the last year of their contracts. I think Ebron will be brought back as he loves playing here with Luck, but they might move on from Doyle due to age and injuries. Reich also loves his TEs so he will still find a role in this offense as a TE3.
Round 6 Pick 199 - Benn Burr-Kirven Washington
Small size but has great instincts and football IQ. Had 94 solo tackles and led the nation with 176 tackles. At the very least he can be a solid special teamer and depth LB.
Round 7 Pick 240 - CB Isaiah Wharton Rutgers
I do not think CB is a major need in this draft for the Colts but grabbing one on Day 3 is a good idea for depth. Can be a solid CB4 or CB5 and would prevent us from seeing Milton trying to cover. Milton should be strictly special teams.

I'd throw Chad Kelly in now. You basically know what you have in Walker, I'd like to see what Kelly can do.
