So that means he is only available to the cowboys? I am simply Stating that the colts should be very interesting as well as many other teams.

Why should the Colts be Interested in him if Safety is not a pressing concern? That makes no sense.

Please dear lord baby Jesus help this happen. I would love Jamal Adams on the Colts. Dream really

What are you talking about? There has been no speculation of interest in Adams. From what I’ve read the Cowboys are making a play for him. No word of the Colts involved there.

The coaching staff has been switching Banogu with a lot of positions. He may have found his permanent-ish position now as our DE for passing downs, which was the role of Turay before he got hurt. Should we keep him there and utilize him more now that we've found a good spot for him?

I’m quite positive that he’s been playing at DE since he’s arrived.

  4. Rock Ya-Sin has had his bright spots but he’s had a ton of terrible spots as well. He positions himself well defensively, but his aggressive style of pay leads to tons of PI and holding calls. Is anyone having any buyers remorse on trading back and not taking Greedy when he was available?

Albert Breer wrote in an article this morning for SI that Quincy Wilsons name "has" come up in trade talks.  He doesn't mention any teams but mentions him as a 2nd rd pick who has lost his spot to a younger player.  He characterized him as one of Ballards picks who has not turned out like he would have hoped.   I thought this was interesting and there might be something developing.   He's a player who could be packaged to acquire a player like Leonard Williams for example.   The upcoming trade deadline might see us getting involved after all.                   BTW I don't know how to post the article.

I wasn't a fan of the pick when we took him in 2017. In hindsight looking back at that draft man we missed out on some studs. I’m all for trading him away if we can get some solid draft capitol.

Against the Falcons he was targeted 16 times for 217 yards and 3 TDs and against Kansas City he was Targeted 9 times for 44 yards 0 TDs however against Us he was only targeted 1 time which is really odd considering how explosive he is on the field so major credit to whoever was covering him.

He left the game with an injury

Can we maybe NOT use this thread to bash other Colts players when it's intended to praise and discuss Zach Pascal?    That's really disappointing to me that people are gonna do that when they should be celebrating Pascal having a breakout campaign

Who is bashing him? I said he had a great game but needs to show more consistent performances. None of that was negative.

One heck of a game to him in a game that mattered a lot.  We've desperately needed that WR who can step up and take advantage of defenses overloading on TY.  Tonight he was that man.

I think you've got to give Pascal a major role in the offense at this point.  He's earned it and it looks like he might be able to handle it.  He has definitely leapfrogged Cain and Campbell, at least for now.

He had a really good game but I won’t jump the gun until he shows consistency performances.

Should he get his spot back?

At this point I see him as a situational player he has a role, but i would like to see Willis get more reps he needs to build more cohesion with the rest of the secondary since he is the future. I think Geathers days here are very numbered.

I just watched the recap video, and Houston was extremely motivated to beat KC. The Chiefs made a business decision to waive Justin. However, like Michael Scott once said, business is always personal. Houston took this very personal, and let his teammates know he would not accept losing to KC.

He was brought in to provide a better wuss rush not just to beat KC lol.

Yep. He was a player you could count on to be in the right spot. We also miss him on ST. Ballard has got to upgrade the safety position with better backups. Not rookies but some veterans.

Agreed, I always thought he was better than Geathers.

  12. In Reichs presser, that was the first thing he addressed, he said he had the ankle. They don’t think he will miss any time. If you have the Colts app you can go watch it there. It should also be on Colts.com as well.

It seems like when this defense has gone man coverage, they have faired much better against the quality passing teams. Plus we have corners who do well in man coverage such as Quincy Wilson, Rock Ya-Sin, and Pierre Desir. Zone coverage simply allows for too much soft coverage underneath in my opinion. Matt Ryan simply picked us apart too much in the 2nd half last game. I think he was something like 23 of 24.

On a side note we really need Hooker to come back soon to help prevent big plays from opposing offenses. I could see Ballard drafting a talented FS prospect next year if Hooker continues to have health struggles. Someone like JR Reed from Georgia in the 3rd would be nice.

I don’t think it should be abandoned at all. I think that it should be sprinkled in, if you play man all game that makes you a one dimensional defense. Zone still needs to be utilized, sprinkled in and disguised to help create turnovers.

I know this has been mentioned before but the colts offense is becoming the like NE.  If a team takes away the run we will beat you with the pass. Take the pass away will beat you with the run. Pick your poison. We aren’t dependent on winning one way. Defense will have to improve to contend  but the offense is becoming very similiar.

I disagree I think we’re turning into a balanced offense.

Not one can replace Saquon Barkley, but the Giants have to try.                                                                                                                            His sources are telling him Giants are looking for a trade partner........... The 2 questions would be would the Colts consider it and would they (at least ) try to get a early round draft pick in exchange ?

lol , an early round draft pick? What has he done that warrants that type of draft capital? We aren’t a team loaded at RB position. The Giants wouldn’t consider a trade for Hines he isn’t an every down or in between the tackles back.

Anyone notice Willis getting extended playing time today? I saw him come up and make a few nice tackles. Seemed to be splitting reps with Geathers.

I think it’s really construed, because both players have been on the field at the same time. Although I will say that I am not a Geathers fan. I think he is meh and lacks poor coverage skills to be considered adequate in a two deep scheme. I haven’t really seen that in Willis either but I do like what I see from him as far as making open field tackles.

Last year one of the big reasons for Luck’s stellar final campaign was Reich emphasizing this short/quick passing scheme where the ball came out quick. He also brought in the RPOs which was great.

2 games into the Brissett era and it seems those concepts are virtually gone. It seems like every play Brissett was dropping back deep. You can tell because there was way more pressure this game then any last year which isn’t the OL. It’s how long Jacoby has the ball.

I just can’t understand why they went away from that. Especially with Brissett. He’s probably better suited for that.

They played a ton of man coverage, so it was really hard to get someone open the way they locked everyone up. Jacoby really has to focus on reading the defense and hitting his check downs when it’s not there. He did hold on to the ball longer than he should have on some plays. But I thought he played well outside of a few turnovers. One of which (the interception) I don’t really put on him.
