  1. I am amazed at some people. I keep reading things like:

"If he goes to Tennessee I'll know his tears in the Presser were fake", "Reggie is a real Colt he came back and didn't go to Ten, he took a house discount... (compared to Manning who is considering Ten)", I will boo PM if he comes to town playing for Ten, He said he was a Colt for life, now he is considering a contract for life with a division rival, what an a hole. I'll never forgive him, treason was thrown out there in a tweet

People: WE RAN HIM OUT OF TOWN, we treated it like a business matter, we had a choice and we made it, period. He owes us and the enitre organization absolutely nothing. He risked hjs life, playing for three years with an injured vertebra, he got involved in the community, he built a hospital, he hosted charity events, he played his butt off for your city and your team and yes, our owner too. We fired him, and now he has every single right to go to whatever place values him the most both as a player and as a person.

This is business right? well, why is it all right for the franchise to tell him: bye, we'll take Luck, but hope you'll be a Colt for the rest of your life! thank you, here is a kick in your butt and have fun, we wish you the best. but it is wrong of him to say, well, this is business I am going to the Titans since they seem to want me there forever.

This team is not the victim and anybody who boos PM is not a Colts fan either, he made this team, he made this forums for god's sake! And if he wants to go out there and play QB for the Afghanistan national team, I will never root againist him.

    rant off

  2. I have said it since december though, i believe either peytons agent or Archie has paid the Dr off to clear him inorder to try to pick up that 28 million dollar option.

I'm not so sure the best, or one of the best doctors in the U.S. would risk his career, or his reputation by doing something so unethical just as much as I doublt the Mannings being greedy conspirators...

  3. So, "The best back and neck guy in the country" said Peyton can resume his career from a health standpoint. There is no risk to his health greater than that of any other NFL Quarterback.

Yet, we get this "report" that Peyton has developed spurs in his neck and might require an alleged 5th surgery sometime soon, meaning, I guess, that he is not really healthy enough, because in order to be, he needs this surgery. I mean the thought of him "on the clock" to re enter the surgeon's room, cannot by any menas mean he is ready, right?

Not only that, but for some spooky reason, that surgery hasn't taken place yet, they are, somehow, and against all logic, waiting for this ailment to worsen, aggravate, deteriorate, (whatever term suits your mind) for the aforementioned surgery to take place.

Either Peyton is a real %$#%$ and is lying to everybody, making us believe that he is healthy, trying to squeeze some money like the greedy guy he is [end sarcasm], becoming almost crazy, losing his mind and risking his own life just for the sake of "gettinig away with it" or this report is just very inaccurate for lack of a better word.

Now, call me crazy, but that doesn't make any darn sense at all.

    Thoughts?

  4. MC..

    Bill O'Reilly not withstanding...

I think you have misread the NFL....I think they are very much interested in Mexico City as a future NFL home..

Big markets catch their eye...and MC is a big untapped place...for football..

The Dallas Cowboys vs. The Mexico City Hombres...

    ....maybe sooner than we think..

hahaha the mexican hombres! I honestly don't see it, but I think the Cowboys could very weel play once a year in Mexico. God knows I hate them with every inch of my body and soul, but 105,000...

  5. I wasn't a fan of football 7 years ago.

One day, I turn on the TV and I see this Colts team coming back on Monday night to beat Tampa.

I was stunned at this guy, the Quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts, his way to command the whole field, his risilience, his control, his accuracy. Charismatic guy, pinpoint accuracy... From that day on, I became a fan, I don't miss a Colts game.

    But...

I am more than that, I am an NFL fan, I watch Cardinals v Seahawks, I watch College Game if the game is good, I navigate the web to find news and blogs about the league.

I always thought I was a Peyton Manning fan, and once he retired I would have to find a new team, I was wrong, I am a Colts fan, the way PM defended these colrs, that Jersey and both stadiums, cemented my love for the team, I will continue to be a Colt till the day I die, I want this team to continue to be great and I do believe the best way to do that is to let PM go, it hurts, but at the same time it is exciting to think about the future.

I will never stop cheering for him though, and if he plays in another team I will root for his bteam to win it all as long as he plays there, but just because I know he will soon hang 'em up and his success won't really affect the Colts, since they will be rebuilding in the next 3-5 years, so I win anyway.

That is what this man means to these legue.

  6. I really dont like the Idea of the NFL expanding outside of the country. they had the world football league in europe and as a kid when my dad was in the airforce we lived in germany for 10 years and I went to a Rhein fire Vs Frankfurt Galaxy game, had some kids playing there who were drafted by NFL teams and sent there to give them playing time and no one showed up. seemed like the stands were always empty when I would watch games on TV. and it was part of the reason if not the main reason the league shut down. because of the fan base. so sending a team to london to play a full season is suicide to the ownership and the city on a financial stand point. yeah they may sell out the first year or two but after that then what? how many NFL players would actually want to live in london to play football? how many Teams would really be willing to travel 15 hours across the atlantic to play a game every year? Toronto I can see, just for the fact even canadian football sells out alot of games, but mexico city? whos going to own the team 5 years in the league? the ownership who built the team or the cartell?

I think logistically a team here in Mexico (the evil cartel country) would not be a good idea. I also believe it would be tough to sell out games every single week, see, when our professional teams are not doing well, we just stop spending money on them, that's a huge risk for the league.

But I'll tell you this, we are the largest market outside of the US, we watch the NFL NETWORK, we buy NFL sunday ticket, get games on national television 3-4 times a week, buy jerseys, travel to games... We have been conquered, so there is no interest from the league to exploit that, they desepratedly try to go to London and conquer that market, and don't care about Mexico because there is nothing new to get here, which is a shame because we feel like second class citizens.

But make no mistake, ratings for NFL games here are HUGE, and the superbowl is a huge event here too, we filled a stadium to watch the stupid Cardinals vs San Francisco some years ago, when they both sucked big time. 105,000 people went to that game. That my friend is an NFL record, I don't understand why we don't have a regular season game, maybe not every year, but at leasst every two, three years.

PD Cartels do not own sports teams, have no interest whatsoever in that, they inflitrate politics, they do laundry money, but believe me, they do not do that through professional sports teams, that is one of the safest areas to invest in this country. And these cartels infiltrating the mexican government and companies, also infiltrate American comapanies and i bet my life they do inflitrate the congress, local and state governments, I mean come on, you guys consume all that coke and marijuana, and import more than 1,000,000 assault weapons, grenades and even bazookas (THAT IS ONE MILLION) into my country to sell them to the cartels every single year, so, let's not be hypocritical about this, one thing is Bill O'Reilly tells you Mexico is a complete disaster, and another thing is to be foolish and especially ignorant enough to think this is happening only here, it's a shame we get the gunshots and the terrible violence, but your country is as dirty as mine when it comes to mafia, cartels, drugs and illegal gun trafficking.

I read, and before I form my own opinion, a try to investigate, the media or other people's comments are not enough for me to make a judgement on delicate matters like this.

Do you really believe these powerful drug lords haven't infiltrated your country's government and private institutions? please

  7. This is gonna start a whole other "Schefter's just making stuff up" thread.

Some people are not going to believe Manning will be cut till they see him on TV himself saying "Me and the Colts decided to part ways" and even then, some are so delusional that they still won't believe it.

Im not sure any team is going to drop a dime on Peyton until it can be proven that he is 100% healthy and its hard telling when that will happen. Some of these teams mentioned may have already settled on their QB by the time Peyton is healthy.

I don't know if Peyton will be released next week but it won't surprise me in the least if it's within the next couple of weeks. I think its a foregone conclusion he will not be here and I think Peyton is well aware of it too.

Not necessarily, how about a contract where I pay a little money to you, but I give you crazy bonuses?

Like, if you make the roster you get 10mil

If you play week one you get 5mil

If you play more than 14 games I pay you 7mil and pick up a clause for a new 3 year deal with the money guarateed

I don't know, but if I am an owner and I sign PM without the certainty that he's healthy, I want some insurance, and I wanna be able to get out of the contract if you never get healthy.

You'll say "why would PM accept a cpntract like this?" Well, because he is so sure he'll recover

  8. I asked Robert via twitter if he thought he could be an OLB in a 3-4 scheme... I accidentally said he is a RE in a later tweet where I said the best RE in the league deserved a new contract..., he made sure to correct me saying he is LE, but he answered he thinks he could play it...

Now I wouldn't expect him to say he couldn't but he didn't need to answer the question if that was the case... Gotta tell you, I love this guy, I am a huge huge huge fan of his, I truly want us to bring him back.

I love how he played this year, the way he handled himself even though he wanted a new contract, no complains, he show up to work..

This guy has answered like three or four of my tweets

Hope you'll answer! Colts forums speculating A LOT, could you play 3-4 OLB? I say heck yeah...@RobertMathis98

    ROBERT MATHIS

@georgepelaez im a LE bro...i feel that i could play it though

  9. The media was sick and tired of him.

The fans were too, not all, but you could see the majority of people wanted to see a change, regardless of Chris being the GM

    He is gone

We are changing, beginning a new era.

Are you, personally, ready to get closure, and if you were one of those fans who wanted him out, do you want to see him honored by the franchise, recognize his work and "remember the good times"?

I am. I wish he cmes back sooner than later and the franchise recognizes him for what he meant to your town and especially your team?

    Adios amigos

  10. One thing that jumps out to me:

The guy is throwing to his equipment guys? seriously? He has no strength and conditioning coaches, someone with rehabing knowledge? I don't know if that worries me or just tells me he is doing so well he doesn't need them...

Maybe he is just in a phase where he is just trying to regain his throwing power and that's it, because I would guess an injured guy like this, would have to be working with someone very close to him everyday with a very strong rehab regime..

    who knows

  11. I see a lot of threads about the possible candidates and the thing that jumps out the most to me is that people seem to concentrate their attention a lot on three things:

NFL experience and Offensive/Defensive background, and also, some people think former or current coordinators are a risk because of the personnel they had or have as of this moment.

I believe there are two things that really make a HC:

    1. LEADERSHIP

    2. GAME MANAGEMENT (including the ability to make adjustments THROUGH HIS COORDINATORS AND POSITIONAL COACHES)

You want a guy who has clear ideas and knows how to focus everyone's efforts to the common goal. A guy who gets the inconditional respect of his players and his coaching staff, a good "psicologyst", a leader of men, a congruent man, who keeps people concentrated at all times during the games.

Then you want a guy who makes the right decisions on the sidelines, time management and game adjustments, a guy who delegates, who doesn't micromanage every single aspect of the gameplan, but who trusts his staff to understand what he KNOWS is needed.

It's just like Grigson, he has no idea what Cap management means, so? if he is the talent evaluator Irsay thinks he is, he'll be fine as our GM, he can learn while he allows the talent around him to make those decisions...

Sure, a guy who calls the right plays would be awesome as a HC, a man with a real knowledge and control over the defense or offense, a strategist a Bellichick, a Rex Ryan or whatever, that's a plus and it sure helps you a lot, but I truly believe a coach is just like a company's manager:

    1. make decisions

    2. surround yourself with talent

    3. achieve results

    k, see ya'

  12. And I agree with that. I think the Tressel infractions are a bit overblown, but I'm still trying to figure out how you think Belichick and Vick got off easy or something. One was fined more than any coach in NFL history, cost his team an extra $250,000, and had to give up a first rounder. The only charges that were brought up was a $100 million dollar lawsuit from a safety of the Rams, who's own lawyer dropped it due to the impossible nature of getting the tapes/records.

My point was that your premise is wrong. You don't need to attack two people who took their punishment to argue Tressel's case. It's actually counterproductive when you seem to imply that those guys somehow got off, reputation untarnished, and Tressel is being drug through the mud. Keep in mind that this is the season directly after. Vick and Belichick still had it really bad at this point, with Vick having it really bad into his first season back.

I'm sorry, I am one who thinks tehy did pay, well, I don't know about the Pats, but Vick did, I should've cleared that up sooner... I believe in second chances, and I believe in redemption...

  13. I remember in the superbowl where the Giants defeated the Pats, I clearly remember there being more NY fans on the stands.

I expect this game to be like a Colts v Pats game, where the Indy fans, and the NY fans will team up f and make lots of noisewhen NE has the ball and stuff like that.

Am I right? I mean how many tickets does each team get? How many tickets will go to Indy fans? How is the preference in neutral fans outside of Indy? Since I am from another country, i don't quite know this stuff, I'd like to know. HELP?

  14. I agree with the rest of it, but I don't think the initial premises are true.

This guy was suspended, he even asked for his suspension to be equal to that of his players ( I THINK THAT'S A PLAYERS GUY, LEADER ETC)

He was suspended for seven games when he came into the NFL, I don't know if he was fined, I know he can't coach at the college level until 2017.

He has also "served" his time...

  15. Some people are so hypocritical! It is really disgusting.

Bill Bellickick clearly cheated a while ago, there was speculation there were witnesses and even evidence, and the NFL dismissed this claims.

Michael Vick murdered dogs like there was no tomorrow and now it's forgotten.

This guy dodn't lie, but kept information he should've shared with his superiors, because his players were trading tattoos for shirts? and he is the antichrist? COM ON!

You and I know if this guy starts winning, it'll all be forgotten, everybody deserves a second chance, this guy did soething wrong, no question about it, but he was also a contributor to his community and his college, no one seems to remeber that, this is the world of victims, let's satanize someone because we need to destroy reputations and careers in order to feel better as judges.

  16. Dude we sucked 1 Season where our 4 times MVP Quaterback was injured... we had Painter & Orlovsky as backups they are both far less talented then luck.. We might have 1 bad season to start with like we did with peyton manning.. but one thing is sure... Colts will still be great :rantoff:

That's exactly what I'm saying, we are not the traditional first overall pick holders, we are not the lions or the rams, or the chiefs... we are used to winning, and we are used to winning because of having the best QB,

The whole intention of the thread is to discuss the weight on Luck's shoulders if Peyton is ran out of town, healthy in favor of Luck and the "future"

  17. If the Colts draft Luck, and no matter what happens to Peyton, we as Colts fans have a choice in how we treat Luck. I for one am going to choose to be patient with him. I hope other Colts fans do the same. He is not Peyton Manning and thats okay. We should cheer him on to be the best QB he can be.

I totally agree and I bleieve the kid is charistatic and seems to be ready to earn the respect of the fans, I also think that, while we are a complicated fan base, we are "lighter" than some other fan bases, I think that relationship will be good from the get go.

But the media... these guys will do anything to boost ratings and generate buzz, this is not Eli vs big brother which in itself is a tough burden, this is: YOU RAN THE BEST QUARTERBACK TO EVER STEP ON A FOOTBALL FIELD OUT OF THAT TOWN.

Now just imagone Peyton going to KC, AZ, or something like that and winning a SB... wow, that will be tough to put behind for Andrew...

Ofcourse, if he does, then he will prove he hasa tough mind and is really the type og guy that same media believes he is.

  18. I think Peyton could really have a chance at a SB if he goes to AZ or KC... Especially if you take into account this wont happen via trade, it would happen via FA, so either team would still be able to retain draft picks and maybe, just maybe sign a FA to help him.
