  1. Sounds good. They need to tighten that line for whoever comes in.
  2. I hope Lamar stays with the Ravens. I would think if our guy isn't there, we trade back. After researching him, I wouldn't mind getting Hendon Hooker.
  3. Yes. The all-one-color one makes them look like bottles of ketchup....red bodied with a white cap.
  4. Good! I hope it works out well (but not too well) for both parties.
  5. Agreed on the off-season. "Irsay's jet refueled in Jackson, Mississippi and he marked out there on Twitter. That is a signal to his fans that he is going to trade for Lamar Jackson!" "His jet refueled in Arkansas. The postal code for Arkansas is "AR," so he must be drafting Anthony Richardson." "Chris Ballard was seen in Target wearing Levi jeans....a true sign that Indy is drafting Will Levis!" -this is how the talking heads sound this year.
  6. I think Stroud and Young will be gone. I'd be ok with plans 1a and 1b. I'm not sure we have any other reasonable options at this point.
  7. It all hinges upon the words of Dalton the Bouncer-"Opinions vary."
  8. Worlds will fall apart if Indy does not get Lamar or draft Richardson. Mostly the media.
  9. That makes sense. It's the car salesman trick of "Well, someone just looked at this beauty this morning and will likely be coming back this afternoon if you don't buy it."
  10. The jury is still out on that. Lamar is good, no doubt about it. The offense has been atrocious but Lamar can't carry the whole team. We're in a rebuilding phase right now. I like the idea of starting with a rookie QB and building around him if he's good. Any draft pick is a risk, but so is any trade. That said, if Indy ended up with LJ, I'd support him.
  11. I think the price for them to trade up may be Derrick Henry and some picks.
  12. My point is that Lamar Jackson isn't necessarily the answer. He has missed 10 games in the last 2 years and is 1-3 in the playoffs. Why is it that LJ is the only option to take the AFC South? Baltimore hasn't taken the AFC North since 2019.
  13. Then why does Baltimore not have a ring with LJ as their QB?
  14. I don't Irsay spending the money, agreeing to Lamar's terms, and spending the draft picks. What does Indy do in three years when Lamar wants a new contract?
  15. Since he's missed 10 regular season games in the last two seasons, would Minshew be able to carry us the rest of the way to and through the playoffs when he gets injured this year?
  16. If he can bring his O-line with him, I'd want him, too.
  17. I was there yesterday and was hoping to see how Richardson did. He really impressed me, not only with the drills but his work ethic. The man never sat down. He stretched out constantly, stayed warmed up, and did solo drills on the side while a lot of other QB prospects were standing around talking. Stroud and Levis looked good, also. Duggan struggled at first but did better on the longer passes.
  18. Interesting. I'm watching the press conference and he said that he hasn't talked to the Colts. He may have since then or later on in the next couple of days.
  19. I think Stroud would be the best qb pick in the draft. What concerns me is that he came from Ohio State....no, not the history of OSU QB's in the NFL but the idea that their system is so solid and their O-line is so good that Stroud may struggle for a while behind Indy's less than mediocre line unless big upgrades are made. I think Stroud will do well in the NFL wherever he goes. Great QB and a likeable guy.
  20. I hope whoever pays that fortune is quite happy with their purchase....as long as Indy doesn't do it.
  21. Agreed. A lot of the mock drafts have us trading up to #1 with Chicago by giving them a first round next year, Pittman, and Q so that we can draft Bryce Young. Way too much. He's good but he's not Peyton Manning and there are other comparable QB's left. If the Bears, Cards, or Texans take him, fine. If another team trades up (and gives away a lot), fine, but I don't think there's a need to do that. We can get a good QB at 4. Like I told a car salesman once who insisted that I buy the car right now and not think about it because someone is scheduled to look at it in a couple of hours, "I can wait. If it's meant to be, the car will still be here. If it isn't, it won't." No need to mortgage the team to get a QB from this draft class.
  22. The media is hoping that Indy moves to #1 and takes Bryce Young. I would rather we wait, keep our picks and good players, and select at 4.
  23. I like it better when they just get blown out. Don't act like you're going to win it..... Tie game as I type this.
