  1. I have the man crush going. He seriously looks like he could approach Peyton but with some wheels on him. I am say POTENTIALLY. I don't need the naysayers to cry about speculation.

There gonna cry regardless of your statement.

  2. That's pretty much it, and if the defense doesn't get a good rush up middle, that's pretty easy to do. QB knows Freeney and Mathis are coming from the outside, and that's all he needs to worry about since he knows there won't be a blitzing LB.

    I hear ya. Frustrating!!

  3. Excellent post! I couldn't agree more .I am more than happy to have a balanced, more boring offense with a better defense if it means more playoff success. I like you loved the 12 wins. But the fact is, in the Manning era we won one Super Bowl when we probably had the talent to win three. And the loss of Manning showed how much her covered up last year. I got sick of no running attack and the inability to stop the run. Winning 12 game and losing in the first round of the playoffs feels no matter than going 5-11, in my book. Neither wins the Super Bowl, which is the goal.

Good times are coming. Go Colts.

I like what Grigson is doing a lot. He has huge shoes to feel, but he seems to want to get bigger up front at a low price. You can't beat that.

  4. Well i guess you have your opinion. I was super happy watching regular season games. The regular season wasn't something to be glazed over for me, I loved every game. Sunday was the best day of the week because I knew I would see amazing football. I'm sure we could have won more super bowls, but we did win one and it was pretty locked up. If not for an onside, maybe it would be two.. doesn't sound so bad to me. We were the luckiest fans in football aside from maybe the Pats I don't count the Steelers. Tied for the most consecutive playoff appearances ever. The more I think about the more I wonder how people just glaze over this as if it was nothing. Its not even like our defense didn't have some amazing times. Our super bowl was in large part due to excellent D. Say what you want about where the team is now but the team of the last decade was simply incredible.

I hear ya......... but to me it was boring.... I knew we would win most of the time until it counted and then we would lose and thats just the way it was. Ten years of domination for 1 SB.

  5. Like the 46 defense, teams have figured out what to do against the cover 2.

I figured it out. Throw the ball across the middle where the MLB was cause he just ran downfield 20 yards. That play is always there but if not you can always throw the quick slant since the Corner is 10 yards deep.

  6. Didnt edge leave before marv or am i delirious

My mistake........Edge did leave before Marvin. Stop nit picking my post. The thred is already heading in the wrong direction. I was looking for input. Oh well hopefully everyone gets my point that I am excited about the Colts future.

  7. Who here has hung out with Luck? and why do we assume he is boring, maybe some of that is humility. Heck my wife is very boring, but yet a pleasure to have had for 24 years now. I for one is more concerned with how quick he can get NFL ready.

Luck is NFL ready!! I bet he is better then some starters in the NFL already.

  8. The hatred of the cover 2 is odd since we won with it...

    ..but it can be frustarting..

I dont think you will miss the explosive offense because that's what we are going to have to have playing where we do in gthe division we do..

..and we are drafting one of college football's top passers.

    we wont ground and pound

I do not doubt we will pass but I also do not think we can be as explosive as a Peyton led offense with the likes of Marvin, Reggie, Stoke, Dilger and Pollard..............oh and Edge. Well see though, in a few years Luck may have as many weapons and the skill.

  9. yeah like I said he would eventually been released by the Jets anyway , and we could have picked him up for cheap I swear if we gave up a draft pick for a backup Ill be ticked

What would stop 30 other teams from picking him up if released. Just because he was released does not mean the Colts could get him.

  10. It's a waste giving up a draft pick for a back up qb that the jets would have released anyway. and by the way Antoine Bethea for example was drafted in the 6th round so you never know what you could get. but thats just my two cents. and no i don't expect a pro bowler with that pick.

Not a waste if you want him. Once he was released anyone could of picked him up. The Colts obviously want/need him.

  11. I was always worried when the triplets (Manning, James, Harrison) were in Indy that one day we would have to replace them. How are we gonna replace these guys when the time comes? Harrison was the first to leave and Reggie stepped right in was a suitable replacement for Harrison. Then Edge was gone and Addai was drafted. He was no Edge but he played pretty darn good as a Rookie. I was like OK were alright with Addai. Recently Peyton was released and I am like whtat the heck we gonna do now? I have been researching some kid named Andre Luck and he is gonna be a Colt and he is going to be star. I worry no more. We Colt fans are truly lucky that were getting this kid. The drafting of Luck and the termination of Polian and the rest has giving me hope.

I could not stand our D and the cover 2 crap any longer. I could not stand the boredom every year of watching us in the regular season put up 12 wins and wait for the first playoff game to be sent home. I wanted to just skip the regular season and get to the post season as I knew we would be a playoff team.

I will miss the explosive offense. I will miss the confidence I had that when Peyton had the ball and 2 minutes to go and we needed a score I knew he would deliver. I will miss all the players who were released because they were our players and they allowed me to watch my Colts win a Super Bowl (The only SB since I been alive). I will miss alot but I worry no longer. The Colts will be back and when teams face them it will be a face full of Colts as Pagano said.

  12. lol a lot of my posts are semi sarcastic as well.

Luck has been the pick by Irsay for some time. I will be stunned if it's not Luck. I would be nearly stunned if any team picking first this year who needed a QB did not pick Luck.

I get where deedub is comin from. That does sound a bit racist. Its hard to show sarcasm on a message board though. We all want the same thing though............a great QB. Go Colts.

  13. I'm just basing it on experience. I sat out and didn't do anything crazy athletic for about 9 months and I came back the next year. Although, to be honest, it felt weird for about 2 years and I only really got over it in my 2nd year of university. He'll be able to come back, but will he be 100% ready for the season, no one knows that, but him, but based on my experience, it will feel weird on his leg when he's playing.

I bet you do not weigh 300 pounds either. I dont see anyway he is ready come Sept. Maybe thats why were signing all these extra OL
