Off season was terrible.
(GOOD) Bradshaw provided when he played. he looked like his old beast self.
(GOOD) Cherlius was a good pickup even though i dont agree paying him top 3 RT money. I would have rather have got volmer (GOOD) IMO. Thomas was a great value pickup. I think he comes back and is a solid guard.
(PUSH) Toler showed flashes of being a soild CB but with injuries and being overpaid alot im leaning towards bad signing.
(BAD) Walden never really ever showed up. He missed many tackles and looked lost. not to mention paying him 4mil. I would pay more than 1.5mil for him.
(BAD) DHB was a low risk high reward but he cost us so many offensive drives with his countless drops. QB is not a excuse when you got LUCK!
(BAD) Landry missed so many tackles and sucks in coverage and was injuried. plus his contract didnt help.
(BAD) RJF played alright. Show why he was a career backup. not worth starting money
DRAFT
(BAD) 1st rounder Werner didnt play like a first rounder should. yes he had to switch positions and showed potential, so give him time but there were immediate impact players there.....RHODES!!!!
(BAD) Hugh.....yea we all know how he played.
(BAD) Holmes....Non existent for the whole season....always a healthly scratch with our TERRIBLE interior OL??? Puzzling.
(BAD) Traded up to get Hughes which was also non existent the whole season.
(BAD) The rest never made it.
Werner I think will turn out alright but we didnt need a project OLB bc we were so thin at many positions. We could have traded back and got a few more picks or drafted a ready player. The few snaps Holmes played he looked pretty good but why didnt he get the chance to play more/
FA was alright (B-)
Draft....(D+)

Surprising to see Zimmerman, Smith (LOU), Gaston, Webster, Bolser not invited. Most surprising is Webster for the fact he won B10 Punter of year award AND was Ray Guy finalist. Dude has a leg. He was highest amount avg punt distance. keep in mind he had to punt alot bc purdue had no offense.
-
I likw Mack alot...but NOT for the money he is gonna get (like byrd, love him but too expensive). I like smith or de la puente. either would be a win in my book.
-
no way robinson gets out of the 1st...let alone end of 2nd
-
no need for WR in 2nd with our young guns stepping it up past few weeks....i say interior line or CB.
-
not a bad thing...with emergance of rodgers, whalen and brazil and wayne and allen coming back i dont think we spend our2nd on a WR...im thinking OG or CB
-
Seahawks fan think they are the best thing since sliced bread. They have only been relevant for what...3-4 years? Its pretty embarressing to be the lone playoff team to be SUB .500 (7-9)...they are good but next year or two alot of there good young guys are gonna get paid...they cant keep all of them.
49er fans are the same way thinking Kaepernick is the best QB in the league...the dude is a joke. they should be kicking themselves in the butt for not keeping smith.....SMITH>>>>Kaepernick all day.
As much as I dont like saints (mostly bc they ran up the scored 64-3? few years ago when we went 2-14....showed no class considering Painter was our QB. but ill take SAINTS over HAWKS

finally living up to his 1st round tag....solid play week in week out. Hes one of the hardest workers according to players and I see it this season.
-
He is just as bad if not worse that Skip Bayless...everytrhing that comes out of both of there mouths is complete and utter nonsense.
-
i would say 95% success..the last 5% would be superbowl win...I think just getting that first win for alot of our young guys will help us this postseason and many to come. its huge. If any of the young guys had pregame jitters i think they whont be there for DEN//NE game. Thank god we got some top notch leaders on this team.
-
I believe we could beat either but neither will be a cake walk. I would take Pats bc they are not deep in there receiving core...though their RB scare me a bit. They do have the like the #15 pass def but i think thats a bit over rated. ive seen a few games where they get teared up.
not to mention if luck can beat Brady AND manning to make the superbowl.....holy!!!

I thought he has the sack strip record?
He does own the record...think hes at 43 or 44...the past record was 39 if im not mistaken....think he broke it at or around the denver game
-
Robert Mathis.....the grandmaster of the sack-strip
I knew a sack was gonna come just didnt know when....i saw him getting closer each play and finally like he always does....the patented SACK-STRIP!!!!!!
-
Crazy that 5 weeks ago we were worried about our WR situation. Whalen, Brazil and Rodgers all coming into their own and contributing. Rodgers hasnt been filling up the stat sheet like TY but teams know what he can do/potential so they pay a lil more attention to him allowing TY, Fleener, etc to get more space. More targets will come but for now he is contributing in many ways and im impressed. Im convinced we dont need to spend our 2nd rounder on a WR. We can now focus it on DEF and our shakey OL (our tackles have played really well all year). Think of Rodgers and our 1st rounder this year.
Next Year: Reggie, TY, Rodgers, Brazil, Whalen...not a bad stable of WR...not to mention fleener AND allen...scary!
-
Mathis continues to show why hes DPOY...no one changes a game more than him on DEF. as shown by ANOTHER sack strip.
-
Thats a bit harsh. Luck threw 3 INTs and the one right after the halftime was really hard to swallow but we overcame all that. Everyone made mistakes in the game. I have no idea what our secondary was doing today out there.
Its week in and week out performance....I have noticed the performance of our offense when browns in there vs trent. I think Trents good at catching screens and wheel routes but he just cant run the ball.'
Dont get me wrong, I believe in this team as much as anyone...but hes been here over 10 weeks and hasnt improved one bit. Every week i hope for that 100yrd avg over 4 yards game.
-
Much can be made for Luck to be called MVP of this game but i think its gotta TY. 13 catches 224 yrds 2 scores.....not to mention game winning catch. Luck and the DEF have to be a close 2 and 3rd.
I was very happy with browns performance. 2 scores. great 5 yard avg. speed looked good as well as vision and cuts. If he can give this performance every week ill be more than pleased. Glad hes finally living up to his 1st round tag.
Everyone played great not named Richardson.
-
Hoping for the PATS. Broncos still scare me. Pats are the less scariest. go chargers!
-
Trent needs to never touch the ball and stay in his street clothes....He always finds a way to # up the game and kill any movement of the ball. We need to make him a WR or cut our losses with him. This fumbled changed the game.
-
they would play dime so who cares. they'll almost never see the field. hughes could play DE too.
what if davis or toler goes down....in comes vaughan who got roasted every play. DL was one of our deeper spots bc we signed alot in FA. Safety was one of our biggest needs. im surprised we havent taken one in 1-4.
-
we have four cbs that have started what more depth do we need.
and how many NT do we got?
I got no faith in any corners not named davis butler or toler. vaughan has to be the worst of the bunch. gordy....pretty bad to.
-
Why in there world are we spending picks on DL....we got depth(4 NT on the roster now?).....we NEED depth at S and CB!!!!

No thanks to Tharold Simon. He is an immature child.
...
Former LSU cornerback Tharold Simon was arrested Thursday night for allegedly intimidating a police officer in his hometown of Eunice, La., according to KATC.com. Eunice city officials planned to proclaim Friday as “Tharold Simon Day” during a ceremony and that will go on as planned according to Eunice Mayor Rusty Moody.
A projected mid-to-late round pick, Simon allegedly failed to move his car upon the request by a police officer and according to police records, he told the officer, “I own Eunice” and “I'm gonna buy these projects and you are gonna be mine.” Simon then proceeded to leave, spinning his wheels and turning up his radio. He was charged with public intimidation, resisting an officer and unnecessary noise violation.
According to the report, Simon also told the officer that “the mayor was on his side” and that he would be fired if he wrote the ticket. Simon was released on bond.
Wow didnt know that. i liked his size.
A couple FA updates.

GIVE BRADSHAW ANOTHER INCENTIVE LACED DEAL!!!!!
Dude was our best runner before he got hurt. he was ready to play in December he said. A whole offseason to get healthy and heal his ankle more. where were he goes, that time is getting a good player.
