  1. Missing Kelly isn’t helping but I do think we are seeing just how good AC and Glow were.
  2. Grover heard people questioning the rush defense and said this:
  3. You mean drafting guys like Grover, Nelson, Leonard, Smith, Pittman, Taylor, and Kwitty offsets any misses he’s had? I am shocked I say!
  4. Seems players are too. More than one said they wanted to come to Indy because they see a loaded team. I remember before I think the Pats game last year one of the guys on the Pats said you turn on the Colts tape and think how is this team not undefeated? I think we are so critical of the team because we are so close and tend to take the good for granted. This is a good team with a good roster mostly built by the current GM. Is it perfect? No, but what team in the NFL is? I think the unanswered question is how much did Carson Wentz hold the team back last year? If you ask most fans, players around the league, the media that covers the league and most importantly the Colts brain trust themselves the answer is a lot. I do think there are some fans who feel the answer is not much which is why they aren’t confident in things getting better because they don’t buy the theory the Colts seem to be selling that Wentz was the major issue. Unfortunately we aren’t going to get an answer to this question until well into the season so until it’s probably going to be debated.
  5. You had to remind me of the Trent Richardson trade didn’t you? What’s sad is that pick turned into Johnny Football and you could argue Trent did more to help his team so the Colts “won” the trade although I’d argue both teams lost that trade.
  6. Not maybe go back and look him up and translate that to todays game he would be up there with Marvin as an all time great. I am not a big mock draft person.
  7. When people blame Grigson for ruining Luck’s career it’s for failing to put together a line to protect him. Not having quality of players falls on the GMs shoulders.
  8. Go tell a Lions fan how long and suffering you are and watch them laugh in your face. It’s not that I am happy with it. It’s that I have no control over it and it has zero impact on me outside for a few hours on Sundays. Life goes on if the Colts are mediocre.
  9. Show me a GM who doesn’t have misses. This 20/20 hindsight expectation of perfection is getting tired.
  10. Dan Dakich don’t you have radio show to host? Say hi to Ryan Grigson next time you talk to him. oh by the way I am not a know it all I’ve been wrong plenty of times and have zero problems admitting when I am.
  11. You can be sure but again he gave a very brutally honest press conference/interview this week where he said he’s not. I think the odds are higher you want him to be upset than that Irsay wasn’t honest about that one topic.
  12. Well he said in a press conference where he was brutally honest that he doesn’t have an issue with Ballard’s approach to free agency. Just because it’s not what people wanted to hear doesn’t mean it’s not true.
  13. I’ve felt all along he was going to draft a WR or two when I saw the monster contracts WRs started getting and then the Hill trade details that pretty much cemented it for me that they are going to draft a guy or two.
  14. Meh I am not really impressed with him. He had two big games against the Colts in his career but that’s about all he’s done.
  15. I think it’s based off the idea that people around football outside of this forum felt they won in spite of Wentz last year and he did more to hold them back then help them. Around here people seem to feel Wentz was better than most people outside of this forum so and feel the team was worse than others do. Depending on where you fall on those opinions probably decides how you feel about the Colts off-season. If you are of the first mindset you feel like Ryan alone makes this team significantly better and that’s before you add a big name pass rusher. If you felt Wentz was fine and the issue was the players around him then you are probably worried about the Colts right now. Time will tell who has the right opinion.
  16. LT and RG have already been filled. Like it or not Ballard said Pryor is going to be the LT. RG is going to be Pinter unless they re-sign Reed to compete but that doesn’t look to be happening. Also the Colts have not touched restructuring contract they can open more space if they need it.
  17. Some just complain or they wouldn’t have anything to say otherwise. I want players added too but there is still a draft and more of a free agent period to go. Patience is required.
  18. Granson was never drafted to replace jack. He’s a different type of player. Jack was a boarder line sixth offensive lineman. Granson has never been seen as a blocker. He was drafted to give them something they didn’t have a tightend and there is nothing wrong with that. If he takes a step towards that this year he will give them a much needed weapon. Mo is the one who is going to be asked to take on Doyle’s role and there is nothing wrong with that he’s more designed for it.
  19. The mods have always merged multiple topics that are about the same subject. This is nothing new. All they did was pin it to the top of the forum so it’s the first thing you see which draws more attention to it. We don’t need 100 threads all basically saying I don’t like what Ballard is doing or not doing. It’s fine to have that option but it can be done in one thread. By the way we also wouldn’t need 100 threads saying Ballard is awesome either.
