Difference is Carson Wentz was supposed to be a franchise QB. Minshew is a backup and everyone knows it. That’s why the Colts moved on from Wentz.

Dear God not two posts ago did I say that I am not saying they need to run exclusively. I said they need to pass some too but they need to use the run to open up the passing game. After the first drive Shane went back to back drives with five passes to two runs. That isn’t balance and it’s not going to work. If you keep being effective running it’s going to open up the passing game for you which it did on the last drive for Mo who dropped it. Bad play by Mo but not a bad call by Shane that’s the exact thing you want to happen. Colts need to execute better but they also need to call the game closer to what they did on the first drive and the drives since the second and third one.

It is when they commit to it, also you get the big run by sticking with the run game wearing a defense out and pop it when they are tired. If you get 5 yards a carry that’s a first down every two downs. The drives stahl when they try to throw because other than Pittman the receivers aren’t catching and Minshew isn’t making great throws either. Play to your strength until they stop it, that was Tom Moore’s strategy, and use it to make things easier in your passing game.

Yeah and the drives where they have moved the ball they have been run driven. The two drives that were pass focused 5 passes to 2 runs and basically two two three and outs. The Colts are not going to win this game riding Minshew’s arm first.

And more running will open up some of those passing windows for Minshew and help him. I am not saying only run Taylor, however he should be your focus right now because he’s running wild mixing in the pass game after hopefully bring a guy in to the box to stop Taylor.
