train.....wreck
Was not....He's getting good reviews from all of the entertainment sites. you have to judge it based on how people who aren't actors or comedians do hosting and he did very well. A lot of the skits weren't funny, but that's par for the course on SNL. There's never more than 2 or 3 memorable ones.

Well, Manning was no longer a Colt when he flew back to Miami alone, so maybe as long as Irsay is on board it's ok for an official player?

Andrew Brandt@adbrandt
Having managed an NFL Cap, report of Jim Irsay offering private plane to Andrew Luck was startling. Cap circumvention. Not happening.
-
I heard his lawyers tried to use concussions as an excuse.
-
At least he has a Colts uniform on
Won't have one the next time you see him - that was from November
-
Marshall is a cutie. Hope we get to see a pic of his sister sometime.
-
I loved the moment when he threw the grenade in the Madden skit and did the Tebowing.

I thought Eli did great. As usual, it's not fair to compare him to Peyton. Compare him to the average athlete on the show, and he really did well. They put him in every sketch except the opening I think.
The Big Brothers skit was the best, but I also really enjoyed the TD celebration skit.

Woops...can't seem to download the SNL pics at full size. Thought there was some gorgeous shots.

I'm surprised at all the love Roethlisberger is getting. I personally think he is very overrated and I can name 10 QBs I'd rather have over him:
-Peyton
-Brady
-Brees
-Rodgers
-Eli
-Rivers
-Cam Newton
-Stafford
-Matt Ryan
-Vick
-I wouldn't even be too upset to have Bradford or Cutler over Roethlisberger
I'd put him above Ryan and Vick. I don't see everyone's big facination with Ryan and Vick might have been a one year phenom. I'd also put Ben about Cam Newton for now. One year not enough to judge.
Plus, didn't I read that Flacco is the best QB in the league?

Ummm....Did anyone actually view the link? It's just a fun little joke video, mostly focusing on Tim Tebow becoming a Tight End and the chain of events one decision makes. It actually has nothing to do with Manning vs. Luck.

Quick video with this one. Peyton is taking credit for Andrew Luck since he attended the Manning passing academy.

In case you missed it, here's the "Little Brothers" commercial from last night...

I'm getting a kick out of all the tweets from Colts fans calling him a traitor. He was cut from the team. He didn't choose to leave. He can play wherever he wants.

Peyton got together with some old Colts teammates last night and has spoken to both Luck and RG3. Says he feels like a rookie again but won't be allowed to play like one.
-
Just a hypothetical, but what if Manning wins a couple of superbowls with the Broncos? Think he'll retire as a Bronco or a Colt?
-
Peyton, Brady, Rodgers, and Brees....
But I wouldn't trade Eli for anyone.
-
Glad for him.

when is the episode with Eli supposed to be on
Tonight

If I was a betting person I still think he will keep his house in Indianapolis also. He probably has more than one home at this time anyway. Just my thoughts.
I agree, but I think it will be hard for him to find time to spend there given his work ethic. It will be interesting to see where he settles down after retirement.
-
I personally think he will always have ties with Indiana and that I feel good about. He will always be associated with Indiana and the Indianapolis Colts. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion. Now we will have Andrew Luck also associated with the Indianapolis Colts how could one team get so lucky?
True, but I was also glad to see that the Peyback foundation is expanding to Colorado as well. He also has reportedly found a house in Denver and Ashley and the twins are soon joining him.

OK - here's the difference with Manning using the plane I think. That was official team business. Luck is not allowed to officially work with the team until after graduation. If he were to use it to fly to Miami to work with Reggie - that would be considered his private time and his private choice. They could probably use it to fly him in for official workouts.
