WOW they didn't know what a cassette was? :O I'm at a loss of words. I hated cassettes so much. I never had to deal with 8 tracks, but I'm totally shocked that kids these days have no idea what cassettes are! They have it made with their digital stuff

I think a few knew what a cassette was, but clearly some people were at a loss for words. My favorite is still vinyl. There's just something so unique & landmark about record grooves & a needle that I love especially when the needle runs out of grooves & is over. Nothing else like it my man. I just prefer vinyl to digital sound wise I guess.

Vinyl still sounds best for outside quality though I believe FLAC has won my choice for the best audio quality as of now, just impossible to get codecs for it on ITunes and Windows media player.

I can't remember the last time the Saints had a good kicker. Carney was inconsistent, Hartley was a joke, and that guy that missed the extra points this year, worse.

I haven't heard that yet. Love the album he did with Jeff Beck Wired.

There's an underground click of Jeff Beck fans here than. Warhorse yourself and I. Amazing fusion records. (that's one of my favorite genera's) Do check out Mahavishnu. It's pretty wicked cool.

Thanks, I will check it out for sure. I have Jeff Beck's Blow By Blow, one of the few fusion records I fell in love with. I do like Wired a little more though, haven't checked out the other stuff Hammer did with him. Beck is a brilliant guitarist, for my money he's the closest thing to Hendrix there ever was.

Very vintage Spinal Tap esque in terms of marking/promo stuff. I actually like lead vocalists in metal that actually try to harmonize vs shout lyrics & choruses. Thanks for letting me know this album is actually out Bogie. Major props for keeping me in the loop. You rock!

The singer is good. I like his style as a screamer ala Rob Halford. Very classic 80's style retro metal. It sounds so much like a modernized version of Mercyful Fate in their prime. Here's the full song

Off topic: I hope you 2 are getting a kick out of my Bogie & Bacall film festival review session BTW. I'm really gaining an appreciation for their on screen chemistry actually & I owe u 2 a debt of gratitude for that. Thank you.

Dark Passage is a good one, and the Big Sleep. Big Sleep is obviously their best film together, Bogart as a detective, the noir in that is supreme. I didn't really care for To Have, and Have Not. It's OK, a bit overrated. Key Largo is great since Edward G Robinson is playing a villain and he gets a chance to really shine in that film as a sorta reincarnation of his character from Little Ceaser (my favorite of his). Edward G was an awesome mobster on screen.

If you watch Dark Passage, that's an interesting movie for the first person camera angle in the first hour. There is some interesting parts in that too, which is told from Bogie's perspective in first person, since you're watching the people walk up to him and make eye contact, like the scene where the guy stops him to ask if he knows him from somewhere cause he's dressed nice. Crazycolt: That was awesome you did that! I'm sure they really appreciated that. Unrelated issue: I would love to talk with the heads of these communication/music programs at these colleges. I go to job fairs and there are so many kids that have graduated and interested in on-air jobs in radio and these jobs are diminishing. It makes me sad for these kids. The radio business has changed so much. They need more engineering/IT/sales related jobs in radio.

Forgive me for butting in guys....but yes....Jeff Beck is fantastic. He and Stanley Clarke performed in 2006 at the "North Sea Jazz Festival" and blew the roof off. If you haven't heard that show I posted one of their songs in the "What Are You Listening To?" Forum thread. Really great stuff.

I'll check that out, and yep Beck is fantastic. I can't believe I had never picked up any of his cds before. I have been missing out on some great stuff.

I managed to get the first one to run on Windows 8. I love it, haven't played it in a long time. The 2nd one is widely hated due to the cut content but it does have better features than the first one; you can influence your party members to become dark side or light side.

A very good show Bogie. I liked his supreme confidence & ability to challenge people in unconventional & clever ways.

His character was very charming. I wonder what Hugh Laurie has been doing since it ended. I know he produced a Blues album a while back, and he's always got music projects going on. Very likable guy off screen.
