Got that right bro... Well I'm old school you can have all the records you want, statistics are for losers...............................

    2. Synthetic

      Synthetic

Right on brotha, right on. Brees got the records in 2011 too and we didn't win nothing. No quarterback has ever won the Super Bowl while leading the passing stats of the season.

  2. Cover Time: What's your favorite version of the Motown hit "Money (That's What I Want)"?

I am not sure how to work on it lol. I did not know the Beatles covered that song but I really don't follow Led Zepp but it seems many many do.

I mean I did know the Beatles covered it...not Led Zepp.

Iggy & the Stooges version just to be different I guess. Honestly though, I love Buddy Guy's Blues version Bogie from "A Man & The Blues" album.

  3. Day #3 of monster ear infection - still can barely hear on my left side, but that don't stop me from listening to the jams.

Colts are going to be scary next year with that offense. I do not want to play your team Jules! New WR and they got Andre Johnson. can I just buy a blue and white shirt finally? I could totally bandwagon for this team LOL

    3. Jules

      Jules

Blue and white seems fitting for you......:)

Offensively I do think we might thrive. But I have been calling Luck for MVP for a while.

I mean come on screw defense. Thats like so old school.......

      lmao

    4. Jules

      Jules

Actually yeah, I kinda think our defensive first rounders sometimes suck too. Some REALLY suck.

I understand Bogie. Basic essentials always come 1st & sometimes luxuries like the world wide web take a backseat. I wish I was a billionaire many times over & could help you out. I'll be here for moral support if nothing else. Stay strong Bogie :D

      Synthetic

I am glad I am not a billionaire, I would never want to be of bourgeoisie establishment, I don't think I would fit in with them anyway. I'll live but at the moment some things have to go and I'm OK with that, but by the looks of it I'll always be online ;)

Cracked articles can be fun though many times they get their information wrong through biased opinions.

    3. Coltsince4

      Coltsince4

Cracked was an American humor magazine. Founded in 1958, Cracked proved to be the most durable of the many publications to be launched in the wake of Mad magazine.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

I thought you were talking about Cracked the site that posts two page articles, my bad.

I agree, used to have it over a decade ago, was one of my favorite albums. I liked Talking Book too and Hotter Than July. You can never go wrong with his 70's stuff.

  12. Edmond O'Brien - a decent actor that fell off my oldies radar. D.O.A. was pretty good for a public domain film. Thank you someone for the Internet Archive.

  13. Eric Clapton's solo records get too much hate for odd reasons. 461 Ocean Boulevard is not a bad album by any means, I thought it was pretty good.

Thank you Bogie for posting this status update. You are the best my man! 461 Ocean Boulevard does have timeless gems on it like: Motherless child, I shot the sheriff [a Bob Marley cover], Walking Down The Road, Let it Rain, & Have U Ever Loved A Woman?" I love his Cream era stuff too. The drumming is incredible on those early recording sessions! "White Room" still holds up today as a bedrock percussion classic. :)

    3. southwest1

Yes, I too hold David Bowie & Stevie Nicks in high esteem & that will never ever change either.

    4. Synthetic

Everything about old Cream records was the bomb. Other than Hendrix and the Mothers of Invention, I can't think of a better third band in my psychedelic craze.

That's Atlanta for ya....they do not know how to close games. Don't help either when your coach is Mike Smith that thinks every single play should be a pass. He got out coached bad in this game, as predicted.

    3. southwest1

      southwest1

The Falcons cannot win with an aggressive team that punches them in the mouth. If Matt Ryan had won that game, the monkey would have been lifted from his back, now it jumped right back on with a tighter grip.

    4. Jules

      Jules

You are right southwest. He did not deliver in the second half of the game at all. Too many people do not deliver lately IMO though in big games. Sigh.

  17. Found a brand new DiMarzio D100 Super Distortion bridge pickup (humbucker) in my storage room.Never been used. It does NOT have F Spacing. not sure if I should trade this or not. No F Spacing, so that kills putting it in an actual comfortable guitar (Stratocaster)

If it's money hurting you, I'd suggest looking into Squier. There's no way I'll be buying another Fender in the future since the prices are outrageous, and I don't even see where it's worth it anymore. For under 500 bucks, Squier has those Classic Vibe guitars which are awesome. The praises have been sung through the roof on the Classic Vibe 50's Telecaster, that's probably the best guitar Squier makes (and the most expensive sitting at $379)

    3. Synthetic

      Synthetic

Squier has the Affinity Series Strats that are under 200 dollars brand new (or they were last time I was in the guitar store). Great guitars, and you get a wide range of colors with some of them. The Burgundy Mist and Shell Pink colors come in the Affinity series. You can get them in the traditional S/S/S configuration or with a Humbucker in the bridge.

Also the Squier Bullet series isn't bad either. I'd say Squier gives you more choices of colors than Fender does these da...

**I'd say Squier gives you more choices of colors than Fender does these days - BLAH message got cut off on me.

If you're looking for something to mod though, I don't know if the Affinity Strats are what to choose cause the nut size is different and the necks are a little smaller. But Squier does make awesome stuff for the cheap price if you're to look mod anything. They have way more colors too than you get from Fender. Ever since I laid eyes on that Burgundy Mist...

  18. Found one of my favorite records today. The Beatles' Rubber Soul. Their most underrated album?

    1. JPPT1974

      JPPT1974

Would say Rubber Soul would be up there as underrated for them. One Beatles fan to another!

    2. The Fish

      The Fish

There's nothing in the Beatles cannon that I would consider "underrated" considering how over exposed they really are. Rubber Soul is probably my fav by them though, though Drive my Car is pretty stupi eerr silly.

    3. Synthetic

      Synthetic

I always believed it was their first golden album. It was a huge step up from the previous records, but I call it underrated solely based on the exposure the more important albums receive. I love Drive My Car, but it needs more cow bell!!

  19. Found several old Atlantic records Ray Charles LP's going through used vinyls at a music store, wow what gems you find when you're not looking

  20. GF to me: "I had to listen to Bowie's Aladdin Sane today." Me: "And that's a bad thing?"

It's on my list of films to see eventually Bogie. I know Jules liked it. Sooner or later, SW1 will write a review of it on the forum. The beauty of that is by the time I see it everybody else has already watched it. Therefore, no need to fret over any plot spoiler alerts.
