  1. R.I.P. Wes Craven. Sad week to be a horror fan.

  2. It is a shame Chuck Berry's classic "Chuck Berry Is On Top" album is out of print. I've never been able to find a CD copy of it, and it's his best record. Arguably 1 of 2 the albums that started rock music (the other is "Here's Little Richard")

That is awesome CC1. That is what I love about this forum. I have had similar situations with others on here. It is really nice to help one another.

That's a swell offer, and I appreciate your kindness but I'm alright. I bought the Amazon CD copy a few years back (where Amazon prints you out an out of print CD).

I just notice when you browse MCA/Chess Records, you can find just about anything from Chess greats, I find it odd that Chuck Berry album went out of print. It's the one record with all his big hits on it.

  3. Just got my new Fender Mustang II V.2 for my birthday. Cannot believe these amps are so cheap, they are definitely worth every penny.

Did you ever catch a TV show called Jazz Scene USA from the 1960's? I don't know if the show was broadcast in America or Europe, but ever since I seen this clip of Barney Kessel on there, I've been so curious

      crazycolt1

I can't recall that show. It's been a very long time and a few years of abusing my body makes it hard to remember some things! lol

Bogie- I looked up Jazz Scene USA and found out it was a US TV show from 1962. It was a Steve Allen production and made 26 shows. There are some of those avalible on DVD.

Watch season 1 instead, it's far better. Matthew M and Woody Harrelson are incredible too. 2nd season had a lot to live up to, but I thought it was great.

      Vince and Colin deserve Emmys!

    4. Synthetic

      Synthetic

Yes they do! That was the finest acting I have seen all year. They lived up to the high expectations Matthew M and Woody Harrelson left behind. Colin and Vince were terrific

This band definitely has it's own vibe, aura, & sound. Thanks for expanding my horizons again Bogie. Keep doing it.

I managed to get the first one to run on Windows 8. I love it, haven't played it in a long time. The 2nd one is widely hated due to the cut content but it does have better features than the first one; you can influence your party members to become dark side or light side.

    3. southwest1

      southwest1

Cool. I'm glad you got the 1st one to work on Windows. You always feel like you beat the odds when you figure out a way to run a game on a machine previously thought 2 be incompatiable. Machine vs machine & man won. Woo Hoo!

I meant machine vs man & man won. Slight typo there. My bad.

      Synthetic

I been thinking about it quite a lot. Rumor has it they were trying for a second season and if that's true, well, I guess that's why they killed all the expensive good actors with that horrible ending. I'm still very disappointed. If I wanted to see the ending to Planet of the Apes, I have that on DVD.

About 15 minutes from my house there used to be a 50's restaurant called RPM's with the best burgers & strawberry malts around. I always played "Runaway" on the free jukebox too. Man I miss that place like a time capsule with checkerboard floors. Groovy man. :)

  11. More doctor's visits. All blood work today and scans. I've had my share of needles today. Despite the beating, i feel pretty good. Happy to know my ears can be healed, though it's going to take a long time. Hopefully no nerve damage comes back, confirmed I have both ear drums punctured, and I can still hear, woo.

Not exactly. The healing process is going to be very slow, but I will survive. I've survived this kind of stuff in my legs and back before, I should be able to make it. Healing simply takes time.

It's British too. You love your British stuff, well these guys had some big Disco hits over there. Never made a splash on U.S. charts. It's a guilty pleasure of mine I guess you could say LOL

    3. Jules

      Jules

I like it more now that I know it is British.

    4. Synthetic

      Synthetic

The Brits did dominate 80's dance scene with crazy stuff. They had to compete with the Italo-Disco artists, explains the bizarre flashy stuff, dance music has always been better with Euro style.

  15. 10 months later, and the Whitey Les Paul Studio turned out to be a great guitar. The 490R/498T humbucker set are great pickups. Very raunchy bridge, mellow on the neck.

    1. Jules

      Jules

      raunchy bridge FTW

    2. Synthetic

      Synthetic

For this guitar, yes yes. The bridge pickup gets all the praise from reviews I see about the pickups. Metal players seem to love the pickup set, and maybe that's why I do, though they do handle Blues Rock well if anyone wanted to try it.

Funk & seduction mixed with a memorable chorus. Woo Hoo Hoo Hoo! It's very addictive. The chorus I mean not happy hour, honey, or rollercoasters. Well, let me rephrase. On 2nd thought, maybe not. :)

It's the album "Honey" by the Ohio Players, classic record. I rediscovered a few nights ago and been listening to it non stop.
