Live albums are like movie sequels. Sometimes it's well needed with a classic and a band that can put up a good performance (Iron Maiden's Live After Death being the Godfather Part.II of Metal), other times you have to wait over 10+ years for the sequel to come about, as I'm learning with these Anniversary performance albums.

Cash live a Folsom Prison is definitely a classic no doubt. Good films & stellar soundtracks together are so rare these days because either the film or the movie score are not on the same level. It's extremely rare. Not like Eastwood in his early spaghetti westerns with composer Ennio Morricone. Those still sound spectacular today IMO.

I download bootleg shows all the time. I've got hundreds of them on flashdrives and CD's that I've been collecting for years. That's the only time I tend to worry about muddy audio and problems. Studios tend to clean them up nicely but still nothing beats a good bootleg from time to time. But I NEVER spend money on those bootleg live CD's online. Total rip off when you can download it.

Wait, this is a real record/CD? I thought it was just a really bad info mercial or something.
It sounds like 7 grand is headed your way Bogie. Just Joking!
The pitch man is wearing a black ski mask. Sounds legit to me.
Is Trevor a former terrorist? Or does he just kidnap & hold rich US citizens for ransom as a 401 K plan?

When you go without watching television and avoiding news, all of a sudden the world isn't a bad place anymore. One more week and my TV is off for good until August.

I never saw Finding Nemo. I just remember it was nominated for 8 million Oscars.
But, yes I do like little fish......which reminds me how I wish right now I had some of those little awesome gold fish crackers.
I will probably end up seeing Ghost Busters this summer since of the men folk around me I know will probably want to see it.
My parents have a Melissa McCarthy fan craze too and used to watch that show she was on. If she is in something they go see it, period. So having her in it is huge for the older crowd.

Replaying Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, thoughts??? I haven't touched the game since 2014, going back with fresh view.
Setting aside the nostalgia and original formula of A Link To The Past, the game holds it's own very well. I love the art style. It's very cute and grows on you with repeat plays. I absolutely love the orchestrated soundtrack featuring full symphony renditions of the old SNES music (the dark world theme remix being my favorite). Upon first playing, I thought of the wall merge idea as a gimmick, but now upon a second replay, I see this is very neat and adds a new dimension to the 2D play style.
Overall, terrific game!

Okay if they are imports then they probably do cost too much and it's best to just find them online for free.
That is a solution but you would be surprised at video game nerds, or just nerds in general that will fork out money for something they love. And I'm not innocent either, I've blown a lot of money in the past on old records, sometimes crazy excessive amounts of money on trash albums. I stopped collecting a few years ago, I just don't have the money to afford to blow it on CD's and old records left and right anymore (and to be honest, I'm running out of room for CD's. So many take up a lot of space)

My birthday: watching the Saints put up a hilarious bad preseason game.

One more note before I go - Dax Prescott, wow.
If Dax Prescott has another huge game like that next week, sign me up for the hype train bandwagon. That kid is amazing. I am blown away watching clips of him from the past two weeks of preseason. This might have been the best quarterback in the draft, and he gets an approval nod from me for having #4 of all numbers.

1 week without the big blank screen called the TV and I'm lovin' it. Only thing it's really useful for anyway is playing video games, but that don't count. I get nothing out of TV without throwball season.

Found a brand new DiMarzio D100 Super Distortion bridge pickup (humbucker) in my storage room.Never been used. It does NOT have F Spacing. not sure if I should trade this or not. No F Spacing, so that kills putting it in an actual comfortable guitar (Stratocaster)

If it's money hurting you, I'd suggest looking into Squier. There's no way I'll be buying another Fender in the future since the prices are outrageous, and I don't even see where it's worth it anymore. For under 500 bucks, Squier has those Classic Vibe guitars which are awesome. The praises have been sung through the roof on the Classic Vibe 50's Telecaster, that's probably the best guitar Squier makes (and the most expensive sitting at $379)
-
Squier has the Affinity Series Strats that are under 200 dollars brand new (or they were last time I was in the guitar store). Great guitars, and you get a wide range of colors with some of them. The Burgundy Mist and Shell Pink colors come in the Affinity series. You can get them in the traditional S/S/S configuration or with a Humbucker in the bridge.
Also the Squier Bullet series isn't bad either. I'd say Squier gives you more choices of colors than Fender does these da...

**I'd say Squier gives you more choices of colors than Fender does these days - BLAH message got cut off on me.
If you're looking for something to mod though, I don't know if the Affinity Strats are what to choose cause the nut size is different and the necks are a little smaller. But Squier does make awesome stuff for the cheap price if you're to look mod anything. They have way more colors too than you get from Fender. Ever since I laid eyes on that Burgundy Mist...

Saints finished 4-0 against the NFC West. If someone had told me this back during the summer, i would have guessed they were going to win the division.

I think I was the main one on here who believed the Colts would be 7-9 this year....I put them on level with the Saints, cause it's pretty much the same thing. You have a quarterback and a receiver who are pretty much the entire offense, and then no defense just like us, and a vastly improving bad division. The Saints time is long gone. Tampa Bay is the young team of the South to take over, just as Tennessee is gearing up to become a sledgehammer in the future. Atlanta and Carolina will always be the mediocre teams that have winning seasons from time to time.
Yeah you were the main one who said 7-9. You may be one game off though but to be honest......we do share a lot of similarities with the Saints.
And yes our division is getting better, TN is the one I am mainly worried about though since I think their arrow is going up.
I do hope though the Saints can make one final run sometime with Brees......

he deserves it, he truly does...
After last year, I don't think I'll ever stop being bitter, since Peyton played the absolute worst statistical season of a SB winning quarterback and had a roided up, dirty defense bail him out every step of the way. If the Saints defense did half of the stuff Denver gets away with, you'd never stop hearing about "bounties". Brees is still playing at a high level, as did Favre at 40 years old. But I don't have much faith in the Saints management to make one final run, but it's what I would want. Forget the records, I want a second ring.
QuoteAnd yes our division is getting better, TN is the one I am mainly worried about though since I think their arrow is going up.
Titans traded their #1 pick last year to the stupid Rams who wasted it on Goff who looked like he was going to be a bust after preseason. I think the Titans are dangerous cause they're building a young team through the draft and now that Adams has kicked the bucket, the management knows what it's doing now.
I want Tennessee in the playoffs. If we get the Dolphins, Steelers, and Titans in the playoffs, already with NE, Oakland and K.C, we'll get a full 1970's AFC playoff picture. The Titans are the old Oilers after all. Would be so cool to have all those old classic teams in the playoffs.
And THANK YOU to no Denver in the playoffs!!! No more orange!!!

I don't think Denver is officially eliminated yet though. I think that final seed can still be open if some whacky old testament style stuff happens in the final 2 weeks. I mean right now it's Miami but I can see it even being Baltimore or Denver but I don't know......

Maybe next year, you never know. The NFC South loves to switch places. I am not sold as much on the Bucs as you are right now. I just am not. Falcons probably right now win the South unless something major happens, they are getting Julio Jones back this weekend too. But, the Falcons are very low odds likely to make a big playoff run.
The Saints need to fix special teams and get some secondary help IMO.
Fixing special teams isn't even rocket science either, I don't see why they can't fix that before next year unless they are too arrogant to do so.
BTW there is something new here on our pages that says "we won the day" with the most likes. You last won it all on November 2.
It's at the top of your profile. You won November second!!!!

Check out my new kittens that are as of today, 16 days old. There's 5 of them, they're healthy, chubby and LOUD. The white one especially thinks it's Prince and tries to scream like a banshee with perfect falsetto.
Note - this little cat is a miniature and it's so hard to believe, as small as she is, she did have 5 kittens. One of them blends in with the pictures cause it's solid gray. These were taken last week before I had to move them. As you can see, one of them is already climbing out. That little white one is a speed demon. I had to move them into a cardboard box cause she was climbing out and following me around the house.
2 grays, 2 blacks and 1 white. All solid colors, except the black one with the tail has a tiny little white spot under it's chin. No names as of yet or anything...

19 days old, I have to put them outside eventually. I didn't get much sleep the other day cause they're so LOUD. They might be tiny but they're loud as hell.
The white one has escaped multiple times. I had to go out and buy a set of cardboard boxes and I built them a box that they can't climb out of.
The mother cat gets on my nerves though...I don't think she has proper maternal instincts cause she has to be forced to tend to the kittens. It's difficult to explain without witnessing it. She ignores them, she'll clean them but I have to take her and put her in the box and make her feed them. That's the main reason I brought them inside. If they were still outside, she probably would've abandoned them by now.

TRUE; and every rock stars after them copied from them and stole from them. For Jagger, that also includes his partner Kieth Richards. Certain ones in the 90's sure as hell copied from them too.Jagger and Richards IMO are the original singer/guitarist duo. Bowie had his guitar partner too with Ronson in his Ziggy phase.

I feel your sadness & pain today over the loss of Bowie Bogie.
It's times like this when an artist so groundbreaking leaves us that I have a profound appreciation for your ability to chronicle & document this man's musical contributions.
I value your keen impressions too Jules on David as well. I really respected David's marriage to Iman too.

I been thinking about it quite a lot. Rumor has it they were trying for a second season and if that's true, well, I guess that's why they killed all the expensive good actors with that horrible ending. I'm still very disappointed. If I wanted to see the ending to Planet of the Apes, I have that on DVD.

Latin eh? Carpe diem? The original source for this Latin phrase is the lyric poet Quintus Horatius Flaccus (65 BC – 8 BC), more widely known as Horace. The term is first found in Odes Book I:
"Dum loquimur, fugerit invida
Aetas: carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero" which translates as: "While we're talking, envious time is fleeing: pluck the day, put no trust in the future." Okay, I got nothing. Ha! Ha!
