  1. I'm sorry, Bogie—I know how it feels. It's never fun to be on the other side.

John Fox's pitch to Peyton Manning was that in his 10 years as a head coach, when his teama scored 26 or more points, his record was 39-3.

I have to say that I was surprised not to see Darren Sproles used more. I'm so glad we don't have to see him x2 a year.

They don't even bother trying to use Sproles. That was the greatest replacement for Reggie Bush, and they don't even bother pitching it to him. Just the fact Bush broke out to become a real weapon in Miami shows someone wasn't using him right over here in N.O.

Ever since he fumbled in the Niners game, they don't even bother running it with him, makes me sick. Just runs screens to him that's all, no pitches, no draws, nothing.

  2. Heard Saints was a team fox owned when coached in NFC , they announced it last night too

Carolina has a record of keeping us out of the playoffs when he coached there. It could be argued that his defense was created to stop the Saints, as he always did a much better job than Atlanta at shutting Brees down.

Personally I feel like the team just gave up in that game, knowing they were going to lose. I'm so tired of every game being Brees throwing it 40-50 times and no run game, not even trying to run it. We deserved to lose that one, this defense is an absolute joke.

  3. That was quite difficult to watch.

It felt like the Saints just gave up after it was 24-7.

This team lives and dies on Brees' average 40 or more passes a game. Only 17 times did they try to run it. John Fox owns us too BTW, and we went into this game with that same predictable game plan. Pathetic.

  4. In retrospect, firing Marty Schottenheimer looks really foolish now. Norv Turner is not a good HC. He is a top notch OC though. Yup, their GM should have kept Brees despite his shoulder injury.

Regarding this "sticky" California controversy, way to take the high road Chargers staff and front office management.

I will let Ron Burgandy field this one...

The Chargers also gave us Darren Sproles :yahoo:

I also think they should have kept Michael Turner, he's turned out to be a great asset in Atlanta.

Just go through all the players they've cut and many have become great names with other teams. The Chargers are basically the free agent farm team, once they let go of them, they become super stars!

  5. All we need is the Texans to lose like 7 more games and we got this guys, we got this.

    :bored:

Your dream just might come true if Goodell don't wait till the season they are hosting the Super Bowl to do a witch hunt for a bounty pool. :nutz:

Probably won't happen either way unless they do win something :panic:

  6. Did they pay Mario Williams enough money or what to get hurt this season?

I'm sorry for you, the Bills are an absolute mess. Fitzpatrick looked great last year until they gave him that big money contract around week 6 of the season (They were like 5-0 and finished 1-10 I think after that contract), I don't know why they gave Stevie Johnson big money either to drop passes and stupid TD celebrations, and then Mario Williams UGH.

But hey, at least your team is still the bomb on Tecmo Bowl, TOUCHDOWN THURMAN THOMAS    :disco: :disco: :disco:

  7. I love watching SD fail.

All the players they got rid of that are blossoming careers with other teams is flat out hilarious.

Firing Marty and replacing him with Norv Turner makes zero sense when they fired him for "losing in the playoffs" but constantly, constantly give Norv a break who can't even make the playoffs most the time.

I think they just enjoy having yes men in their organization. Marty didn't want to let go of Brees or several other players they let go, probably the real reason he was fired.

  8. I respect you Bogie and you are right. Neither the Broncos or the Saints are firing on all cylinders right now. Manning and Brees are on equal footing. Sproles and McGahee are on equal footing. This game will be decided by CBs Champ Bailey and Tracy Porter IMO. Porter joining forces with #18...Priceless...

Seeing Porter with Manning still blows my mind. Something about that is just not right.

Saints have not lost in primetime for 3 years now, long streak of winning their Sunday and Monday night games, but this year has been a mess for them.

  9. In the age of the dominating internet, it's hard to define "too much hype" as there is countless hype surrounding any big name player such as Luck or Griffin at that. With that said, if Luck was getting the LeBron James ESPN worship, maybe I would say he's getting too much hype :goodluck:

  10. Most Browns fans I know are really cool, and don't talk a lot of trash. It's almost depressing listening to the older ones that know what it's like to have an average QB under helm from so many years ago before the real Browns became the Ravens.

Cleveland fans in general are some of the most loyal fans ever that sit there despite getting blown out badly, and losing in every sport in their town.

  11. It's too early to fire Rivera. I am not all for this firing coaches within just 2 seasons, but the Panthers are asking for trouble. Rivera should be fixing the defense, they should have drafted all defense, instead they get Newton and become yet another team that is obsessed with drooling over a QB dropping back to throw the entire game.

  12. The problem with Newton is his arrogance.

The kid had been mentored by one of the best QB's ever, and he's got out standing talent, but what is holding him back is the Me first attitude. He's not the only one, Steve Smith is a trouble maker on that team too with his attitude.

  13. Have to agree with Griffin the third, the Vikings sadly are a legitimate threat of winning the NFC North, if only the Packers can crush them back where they belong

The entire NFC North is a huge toss up. GB lives and dies on their out standing offense (suffering from no run game), the Bears are going to win from that aging core of defense, I really don't trust Cutler at all. The Lions are a flat out joke, average team at best that has been truly exposed since the playoffs last year. Thank GB and NO for showing just how weak that defense is against the pass. The Vikings have a great defense, but Peterson's legs seem to really be the entire offense.

  14. Ha ha ha. I was not at all petrified last year. I never really believed that #15 was the solution, and so, when Elway finally succumbed to the enormous pressure from the crazed Tebow fans, and when they started arguing everything good came from #15 and everything bad from the rest of the team, I kind of checked out. I had the curiosity of a rubbernecker almost. I was worried that we would win just enough to have to keep him and suffer for 2-3 years until finally everyone sees what I saw. Thank God Peyton came to the rescue. But the flip side of that is that I am now a lot more nervous. He came to Denver to win it all, and I feel somehow personally responsible for wanting him if my team lets him down. I know it doesn't make any sense at all but I feel that way nonetheless.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease a little bit :) But two names scare me: Drew Breese and Darren Sproles.

I don't think we want to just throw over and over but we've had had to so far for falling behind so much. I hope to see more ground game.

as long as we are averaging 50 passes a game, Sproles isn't getting the carries like he did last year.

I know, I love Sproles, but the Saints have made it quite clear they are not running the ball this year. Pierre Thomas averaged 10 yards a carry, he gained over 110 yards on only 10 carries in a game and Brees still threw 40-50 passes in that game. I don't know why we are throwing it that much, if it's because we paid Brees like that or Carmichael running the plays, but something has got to give. Last year this team could run it down your throat, but this year they don't even care about running the ball, even though we have 2 great RB's; Thomas and Sproles.

  15. I don't believe in the Madden curse, it's a coincidence on most terms.

The Lions are an average team. People forget that, all those comeback wins last year that teams gave to them, they could have easily been 6-10 or worse. They went 10-6 last year and as great as their defense was, I didn't really expect Brees to totally torch them like he did in the playoffs last year.

Average team at best taking a big check down to earth.
