Retro throwback week for Halloween - Mercyful Fate and Black Sabbath. I forgot how fun melodic metal albums were.

Golden Dawn comes tonight, Ministry marathan before Halloween

The Cthulhu is real. It's chillin with Xenu....somewhere.
-
Zelda II - Most underrated Zelda game period. The black sheep label is seriously uncalled for.
-
South Saturn Delta - Oh my an actual Hendrix cash in with good material. Midnight/Midnight Lightning are real winners on this record.
-
Mothers of Invention - Absolutely Free....why oh why didn't I discover this when I was younger?

Anyone know what Todd Coontz is a Dr in?
-
Just received the best birthday gift I could imagine - in less than 3 days after sowing the seed. Gibson Les Paul Studio - Alpine White and Gold Plated, the most beautiful guitar I've seen in forever

Happy Birthday to me, expecting a harvast

Yes, sometimes this world can be very depressing. Please hang around Bogie. I'd miss not having music & movie discussions with you my friend.
It always bums me out when people I really enjoy are no longer here. It still blows losing Williams & Bacall so close together because it feels like part of your youth dies with their final departure.

Who's going to see the new James Brown movie?

I will wait to see this James Brown King Of Soul movie on DVD as well. Bogie is right though. We appear to be a motion picture pattern of Marvel graphic novels film adaptations right now almost to the point of over saturation like a wet wash cloth that you cannot ring the water out of. Yes, I recently saw "Guardians Of The Galaxy," but if actress Zoe Saldana wasn't in it; I would have never seen it.

PsuedoHistory logic-I don't know; therefore aliens!
-
Edmond O'Brien - a decent actor that fell off my oldies radar. D.O.A. was pretty good for a public domain film. Thank you someone for the Internet Archive.

Dreamed I was an action figure

Rain, rain come our way, make these stupid fireworks go away!

Isaac Haye's Live At The Sahara Tahoe just moved way up on my "to find" list

I am to be an unofficial/official uncle within the next 15 hours...countdown time!!

Neil deGrasse Tyson is quickly ranking high on my favorite people list. I love this guy for calling out movies for their scientific inaccuracies, this guy is the bomb.
-
I missed the 13 episode "Cosmos" series & I have never seen Mr. Tyson talk about science other than a few You Tube videos. The line that "science is sexy" & that "science...can be in both your mind & your heart" is complete nonsense to me because science is a clinical discipline without emotion. It is not a religious, world changing experience. It is looking for formulas & chemical reactions that can be duplicated every single time without fail. JMO.

Happy Birthday Marilyn Monroe

Eric Clapton's solo records get too much hate for odd reasons. 461 Ocean Boulevard is not a bad album by any means, I thought it was pretty good.

Thank you Bogie for posting this status update. You are the best my man! 461 Ocean Boulevard does have timeless gems on it like: Motherless child, I shot the sheriff [a Bob Marley cover], Walking Down The Road, Let it Rain, & Have U Ever Loved A Woman?" I love his Cream era stuff too. The drumming is incredible on those early recording sessions! "White Room" still holds up today as a bedrock percussion classic.

That poor old Super Nintendo that don't want to play Super Star Wars or Donkey Kong Country 2 anymore....too much stress from hard games for the poor thing.

Line 6 amps are not worth the money. Stick with Marshall, Fender, or better yet the cheaper Orange and Vox brands - clean distortions sound way better than these expensive Line6's.

God I miss the Sopranos! I'd much rather have this, than the A Perfect Circle reunion that's being hyped up
