  1. I wouldn't expect you to give a flip on this.  And I do think you can be a fan without knowing the details of every game over the years.

Just simply saying that I can completely understand how someone would question it when you confuse the 4th and 2 game with the one that put the Colts in the Super Bowl.  One was a playoff game, one was not.  One was in the 2006 postseason, one was in the 2009 regular season.  Pretty big swing and a miss there.

I didn't give it that much thought. Ok I swung and missed. Do you feel all better skinnz poo?

  2. I liked the 4th and two. Even though it didn't go the Patriots way it epitomized how they are as a team. Confident and willing to take risk...winners either way. That was a great game and really the SB. I was happy the Colts finally got to taste victory after having been slapped down so many times in the past.

  3. I think it's impossible to rank them right now. I'd throw Roethlisberger in that group and just call them the top tier. And that's just as of right now. A few weeks ago, Rivers was in that group instead of Ben. Six weeks ago, Brady wasn't.

There will be some flip flopping in the end but we all know who's going to be in the top 6-7. I had Dirty Ben at #6 through 9 weeks. If you're not a very good team a beating can ruin you. Like with a middle of the road boxer. Denver ruined SD, Patriots/Bengals ect. I'd go as far as to say the Patriots ruined the Red Rifle and Marvin Lewis. They're screwed

for years to come because of all the guaranteed money heading the Red Rifle's way and he's cooked beyond the point of salvaging at the tender age of 27 and this was supposed to be Cincy's year. Here's where Luck shines. He's improving with time and you already see his longevity and mental toughness. A beat down like the one that's coming (sorry I couldn't resist) won't deter him. He'll learn and be no to the next game.

  4. As of right now, this season, In order:

    Luck

    P Manning

    Rodgers

    Brady

    Brees

I stand corrected. I have Luck at #5 as of today. In my defense I did say he'd finish the season in the top five. You need the take the emotion out of watching a game and just watch the QB with an unbiased view regardless of the team or QB. Putting Luck and Manning 1-2 shows that you can't do this.

    Brady/Manning 1-2, 2-1 (Same as always)

    Rodgers

    Brees

Luck (just got into the 5 spot)

  5. I will grant you that Patriots completely dominated the Broncos. I won't argue that, but just because Denver got schooled in the latest head to head match up, I wouldn't put any upper hand in the next Playoff game for the Pats myself. BB is famous for saying that every game takes on a life of it's own.

NE got steamrolled by the KC Chiefs did you get your butt whipped by a better team too? Hades no. 1 loss in a 1 sided game doesn't serve as "common denominator" down the road. Yeah I know you were implying that 18 chokes in the snow. Does that mean Brady is allergic to the NY Giants pass rush & without Vince Wilfork on the other side to give him the ball back Brady can't win SuperBowls?

If you wanna say that Manning's arm strength isn't the same as 2004-2009, I can roll with that because it's a valid point. But Peyton's biggest asset is his ability to anticipate throws & drop them where they need to be especially on slant & go routes.  I will grant you that on crossing routes across the middle Manning got WR Austin Collie hurt with high ball placement sometimes. I won't lie about that.

Yes KC was a better team when they played the Patriots.

Yes if the Patriots meet the Broncos in the playoffs it will play out differently but the Patriots will still win in Denver or Foxboro. A lot can happen between now and then to either team injury wise and change the picture completely.

Peyton isn't a bad weather QB. History tells us this. Denver is Indy all over again.

His arm is becoming so weak that anticipation is failing him with more frequency. Dude has always hung out receivers but now it's becoming a real issue.

Those Giants SB's were battles and quite entertaining. The commercials were more entertaining than the games in Peyton's three SB's.

  6. Brady's arm strength and field awareness are still outstanding as always. With his lack of mobility pressure up the middle has been his kryptonite. He's moving the pocket this year which is new and it's working. With that said it's one thing trying to pressure up the middle and another to actually do it. The Colts are screwed when the Patriots hit LOS.

  7. Good thing he's had a dome and then the fair Denver weather.

    • He’s 2-8 in which the game temperature is below freezing (32 or below), 0-2 in any game below 20 and 2-5 in games between 20-29
    • But once the temperature goes above freezing (32), he gets markedly better, 6-5 in games where the temperature is 30-39 and 11-3 in games where the temperature is 40-49
    • He’s 8-13 in games where the game time temperature is below 40
    • Effects seem to wear off once the temperature hits 50
