Strange, name 1 person that has said Richardson is great. Many think he has the potential to be. With me, all I have said is give him a chance before saying he is a bust. I have also said he has looked good in his short time which is true. I have seen some in here calling Richardson a bust and injury prone. Someone even called him "Glass Richardson" . I can dig those posts up if you like .
i never said he was a bust at all i think his ceiling is josh allen with lamar speed which is amazing . i just didnt see enough to say without a doubt he is the future for the colts . i grew up watching watching peyton manning as a child ,my QB standards are very high so i might be bias but i need to see more from richardson . i saw some raw passing that richardson needs to clean up . how good richardson will be will depend on his love of the game and work ethic to be great . if he has the work ethic of peyton manning i have no doubt he will be great .

I don't think that is what is happening. Those who dislike AR are overly critical of the pick and of AR. So, those who support AR are being equally as defensive of what they support. Some are saying, "Wait, it is only a small sample size."
You're basically doing the same thing. You are using limited information on AR to say that others are off the wall for supporting him. Can't folks appreciate both players?
As an outsider, I can appreciate both. I would love both to be Vikings QBs.
i think i have a balanced take i never said AR is bad or will be bad . my take has always been AR has shown flashes of being good and flashes of being a raw passer . he needs time to develop but i wont crown him as the next great QB until i see more of him . now with stroud i think he has proven he is a good QB .

colts can make a run at flacco next year . one year deal and he is a superbowl winning veteran who is great at play action . if AR goes down we can rely on taylor and play action from flacco

its weird how some fans here act like stroud still has something to prove even though he is the offensive rookie of the year and dominated a good team in the playoffs . these same fans think after two and a half games richardson is proven to be great when he only averaged 220 yards passing a game and 1 passing touchdown a game . richardson showed huge flashes in the rams game but you cant crown someone over flashes . justin fields showed huge flashes in all three seasons but still isnt proven and cant win games . richardson is 0-2 in the only games he started and finished i need to see more before i crown him anything . i have faith because he seems like he loves the game and wants to get better and shows flashes . richardson still needs to improve his accuracy by a lot he over throws wide open wrs which was his same problem in college .

Based on my eyes. I swear, it's like most of you can't see.
From a skill position point, they are proving to be miles above us, other than possibly RB.
Nico Collins and Tank Dell are far superior to Pittman and Pierce. More dynamic. Playmakers.
If you argue that you are just a homer who really can't see the obvious and if you think that AR would've made Pittman and Pierce the equivalent of Collins and Dell, you are delusional.
the thing is a elite QB makes wrs look way better and the whole team way better then they are . its almost the same team that won two games last year . they added tank dell and a average tight end from the cowboys . its mostly cj that makes the team look great when cj was out against the browns the browns beat the brakes off them .
it was the same thing with the colts the same roster that went 14-2 and went to the super bowl went 2-14 without manning . the colts went 9-8 with horrible QB play and having two rookies at corner and taylor missing so many games . put cj stroud on the colts this year i think we have 12 wins , this tells me the colts roster is better than the texans .

Hopefully ar can stay healthy and take the next step as a passer . Stroud right now looks elite and the best Qb in the draft by far .

Dear God…..Are you not aware that his name is in demand most every year he’s been here. Since the highly successful 2018 season, Dodds has been requested for interviews every year by multiple teams. So it’s not the opinion of sycophant posters you don’t like, it’s the opinion of teams in the National Football League! How do you NOT know this?
i think he is talking about results i understand he is in high demand . when the ballard regime including dodds have been here for 7 years and we have 0 division wins two play off appearances and only made the playoffs once in 5 years its okay to question dodds . every single player on the roster is from the ballard regime at some point we need real results before we start praising dodds as the next great gm .

you cannot let pittman walk unless you sign a young veteran who is just as good . the colts cant roll the dice on a premium position with a young QB playing next year . draft is not a sure bet and if we replace pittman with a rookie and the rookie struggles we will have two starting wrs who are bad .

His skill is for deep balls?!? Are we talking about the same Michael Pittman Jr?
I like the guy and hope we find a way to keep him, but he’s much more a possession receiver than a deep receiver.
watch his press conference that is how he feels . that is why he liked wentz all those deep shots .

got no problem with Gus. secondary was young and missing key pieces at various points. problems to be expected
looking at film tons of plays the defender is in the right spot and missing a open field tackle that turns into a big play . better tackling and better safeties would help a ton

I don’t see them using a high draft pick this year with Jelani Woods coming back next year. Now if he can’t stay healthy or doesn’t become that guy next year may be that year
we need something the offense lacks explosive players maybe a speedy wr . we need a true 4.3 speed guy to stretch the field .

While I'm glad to hear that, I'd still draft Jackson Powers-Johnson (Oregon) as his heir-apparent. He's got LG & RG flexibility as well, so at a minimum would be solid depth until Kelly does end up retiring.
what round is he projected to go in ? if its first round i rather have a safety tight end or wr but if he is a day two or three pick that is a good option

The three division teams twice
the AFC east - vs Miami and Buffalo and at the Jets and Pats
the NFC North - vs Lions and Bears and at Packers and Vikings
At the New York Giants (currently) or Commanders
the Steelers and currently the Raiders but could be the Broncos.
tough schedule miami , bills , and jets with rodgers are tough games . lions and packers are tough playing the texans and jags twice

Same thing happened on that deep shop to cox. Why you throwing that to cox. That isn’t his strength.
cox has brick hands i would upgrade him he is a good blocker but cant catch . give AR a real threat tightend and the offense will look good . jack doyle was a huge loss colts havent recovered since.

JB can be an expensive backup but the rest I can agree on. You get what you pay for with backup QBs typicallyi think he is making 8 million minshew 3.5 . after this season its gonna be double to resign minshew so i dont think its a huge difference money wise .

i would go get jacoby brisett back i think he is slightly better than minshew . 18 touchdowns 6 picks in 15 games vs 15 touchdowns 9 picks with minshew in 15 games . bigger arm too

Of course it took a missed extra point for that to happen as well.
texans didnt really impress me last night i think with a decent QB we win easily . two touchdowns were complete blown coverages by the safety playing the wrong coverage . i mean we had absolutely horrible QB play and were 20 yards away from winning .
-
the sad part is if gay makes that 57 yard kick we could of tied the game with a field goal on that forth down play .

Look how Open Pittman is here.
minshew has tunnel vision if his first read isnt there he gets happy feet and looks to bail from a clean pocket .

Well Colts have the 17th pick would be interesting where they go. This team needs secondary and play makers on offense. Hopefully we move on from Big Mo he has a awful 20 yard drop and just disappears for most games.
we need a wr or tightend first before anything . then a safety

How I feel is we were the better team but they had the better QB play
we had a historically bad QB play this game and still were 20 yards away from winning . that tells me with a real QB we can be a good team . to put up 140 passing yards 0 touchdowns 54 completion percentage and still almost win is very impressive to me

No we need a new DC and a overhaul of the secondary.
i think the safeties are bad but the rookie corners showed some promise . look up jones grades in coverage he was really good and brents showed flashes . those two will improve its the safeties that played bad all year except blackmon
Just now, Restinpeacesweetchloe said:I don’t want Texans winning the division. I want to see them going to Buffalo or KC and get cooked.
the texans would face the browns if they win the division . flacco will shred that defense and the browns have the number 1 defense

I will say, I've been a Ballard supporter, but this is his final shot at an offseason. We need a significant amount of success next year. I'm not saying super bowl or bust, but I'm expecting to get to the divisional round of the playoffs. If not, then it's time to move on.
i think QB play is the difference between this team being 9-8 or being 11-5 or better . we saw it when manning went down where the same roster that played in the super bowl went 2-14 with a back up QB . if we can get another weapon for richardson and he can get to the point where he can get close to 30 touchdowns a year we would be a good team .
the defense would look so much better if they werent on the field so much from minshew going 3 and out and being horrible on third down .

"We need to draft WR 2 or 1 to pair up with Pitt . AP can be WR 4." this post sounds like you are a arm chair gm telling ballard who we need to draft and questioning ballards alec pierce pick . new colts fan is right everyone here plays arm chair gm if no one did, there is nothing to post about . the whole point of a forum is to play arm chair gm and debate the moves the colts made and give input on the game you watched .
