Not impressed with Ballard's strategy for trading up and down.

Might as well go ahead and prepare yourself for next years draft too. When the Colts finish this season anything like last season or better, you can expect Ballard to trade out of the 1st round again.  Unless the supposed QB class of 2020 throws a wrench in the process, there probably won't be any "premium" players between 26-32 again.

  2. I live in NC and have had to watch alot of Panthers games over the years.  Funchess is not a super star, but he is a serviceable receiver with room and the ability to get better.  He is a big body, goes up and fights for catches and has good game speed.   He has made some spectacular catches and had some drops that should be easy catches.  Don't completely judge him by the numbers you see on PFF.  Funchess has SCam Newton throwing him the ball.  Like Ballard says " watch the tape".  Balls are constantly behind Panther receivers, thrown high, thrown low and thrown into contact.  Newton can't throw a good timing route to save his life.  Newton holds the ball as long as he can nearly every time.  IMO that way he can just run and be the super star and celebrate EVERY SINGLE 1ST DOWN HE GETS.  One year contract is perfect for this deal. $10 mil ,$3 mil in incentives.

I think it’s funny, seeing people so against this. Guarantee the second we sign him and we’re putting up 40+ points a game everyone would change their minds.

I also think once he got out of that locker room, his personality and everything would change. Roethlisberger seems to be the problem there, not AB or Bell.

I somewhat agree about getting him out of that locker room, but I'm still cautiously skeptical at the same time.  I believe that Tomblin carries 95% of the blame for the Steelers problems!! My Steelers fan friends agree. He let this become a problem by not putting a stop to their behavior.  What a player does on their social media or radio show is their business, unless it disrupts a team or its locker room. How do you think Bill Cowher would have handled these situations?

I think AB is, by all accounts from most teammates, a very hard working dedicated player.  He is not helping his case right now on social media if he is trying to show that "teammate" mentality.  They way he handled their last game of the year was all wrong too.  I'm just not sure if it is worth taking a chance on putting a possible distraction in our locker room. I'm 50/50 on it. He would absolutely make a huge impact on our Offense.  I believe Frank's demeanor and having TY there would have a big influence on him. He and TY have been friends since TY's dad coached them in Pop Warner.

I would love to have him on the field on gamedays. Just not sure if its worth the risk with what the Colts would have to give up in the upcoming draft ot drafts.

  4. GM for Chicago will most likely win Executive of the year for the trades, hiring of Nagy and their recent draft picks.  All three helped win them their division already this year.  I would love to see Frank get Coach of the year.  I believe he has, by far, done the most with what was believed to be one of the worst rosters at the beginning of the season.  But in the end the teams record will mean the most to the voters.  I think Frank will be 2nd. Bears sweep both awards. Nagy wins it.

  5. So much hate for D Q!!  Yes he is older but very productive, not unlike Adams.  Lacks some in coverage due to age but he lead the NFL in tackles for most of the year.  Finished 2nd by 4 tackles ( D Q 150, N Bowman 154).  He will be an alternate at the Pro Bowl this year as soon as someone has to back out due to playing in SB or injury and he will deserve it. He should have been voted in from the start.  If a good ILB is best player available at 18th in the draft then take him.  Let them learn beside someone that has been a good player and leader his whole career.  Then take OL and DL  at least the next 2, 3 rounds. Go get in free agency Russel Okung or maybe trade late round pick to get Joe Thomas who wants out of Cleveland.

As far as Pagano and Grigson, I like Pagano, not been a big Grigson fan.  IMO Grigson's FA acquisitions and draft picks have him close to a .500 average. Both guys were 1st time in those head honcho positions and felt like they had to prove themselves.  True fans should know that both guys would not be mistake free. There were going to be bonehead decisions made on the field and in the personnel acquisitions. As we have seen and have been expressed relentlessly on this board for 4 years.  Now they have the chance to learn from mistakes made and move on working together for success. Only time will tell if they can work together.

  6. He could very well have a similar year but I doubt as good because Newton has a proven offensive line around him and Steve Smith, if Steve isnt their then sure Cam can still run like crazy but the throwing numbers he put up dont happen

Cam didn't throw to Steve Smith very much. He is not the player he use to be anyway. Cam legitimately earned every yard he got. The Panthers were not very good at all. They were weak in all aspects of thier game execpt QB. Trust me, In this area that is about all I get to watch without Sunday ticket.
