That’s true, but that wasn’t a deep pass. The pass couldn’t have been more than 10-15 yards or so, most of the yards were after the catch.
Exactly. Just a missed tackle by Butler and Adams.

I think Denver maybe. And also Jacksonville in garbage time
Yeah our only TD given up over 40 yards was is Jacksonville. But the longest pass against denver was like 20 yards, there was none in Denver 40*.

Yeah.. PFF is not the ultimate source but it does good research.. got it from Brad Wells page though.
Is he really rated that high?? Dang, i thought he was performing pretty average. With Serge next to him him now then thats a great duo!

With a good Texans defense i say no turnovers. It is lucks 3rd year and he still is growing (not even in his prime), but he seriously needs to cut down the INTs.
-
DMVP: Can i pick Davis and Werner?? Werner had a career game and Davis put the lock down the the Smith brothers.
OMVP: Costanzo. Offensive lineman rarely get love but he was flawless. Didn't see any pressure and locked up whoever he went against.

I agree with that. Those easiest schedule things are such nonsense.
As for the remaining games i think personally think. Hou, Pit, NYG, Cin, Dal, and NE will give us the toughest competition.
I think we could end up anywhere from 10-6 to 12-4. I think we will win the division and the placing will depend on how we play against Cin and NE.

Alright so after looking up and down through the first two games, and dominant in the past three games, how do you feel about them as a unit? To me, our defense was good in every area but one, rushing the passer. Art Jones, Redding, Hughes, Chapman, and Jean-Francois can stop the run very well, Jackson and Freeman is a good ILB duo, but they can struggle to defend tight ends well at times, and our secondary looks to be very good against the run, with a top (Yes to me our corners are one of the top in the NFL) CB duo and Mike Adams really coming into his own, and Sergio Brown actually looked GOOD yesterday.
The only issue has been pass rush, now props to Manusky for getting creative with LB blitzes/Safety blitzes and not just relying on Walden/Werner to get to the QB, and I think our pass-rush is really starting to come into its own with Werner and Walden now getting into a groove, and Redding has provided a very good pass-rush as well.... So to me, if we can generate a decent pass-rush the rest of the season, this defense can be a top 10 unit. What do you all think?
Our defense has been really unpredictable the past 3 games and i hope that continues.
My only questions are, can Werner keep producing? Can Sergio Brown keep producing? When will Art Jones come back?
Also i would like to see Montori get more snaps at NT. He looked like an upgrade over Chapman and got some great tackles and penetration in the run game.
On one last note is I hate how people say we had a bad run D against the Ravens. Justin Forsett gained 29 yards on one carry against a prevent defense. If you take that out they got 14 carries for only 61 yards.
So to end my rambling lol, i loved the defense the past 3 weeks. If we can keep this up and get consistant LB play then we will have a dangerous team! Especially with Victor Butlers addition. If he can stay healthy then we got a great rotational guy.

The Tuesday injury report lists both as DNP. Mewhort probably will not play but what about Thornton? Lance Louis would take one guard spot, Is Joe Reitz next man up for the other? Has he recovered from his own injury? I had the random idea that it might be Khaled Holmes. Or maybe Pagano can find a way to play Harrison at both guard and center. Opinions?
I bet LG will be Louis and RG will be Reitz or Harrison. I really hope that they put Shipley at C again. Hes not a perfect center but he doesnt make bonehead mistakes like 2 bad snaps and forgetting to snap it completely.

NO, it shouldn't have been called. They do protect QBs, by giving them the option to slide. However if the QB chooses not to slide and instead dives head first then he's fair game. The hit to the head was quite clearly, imo, not intentional or malicious at all.
I don't think it was malicious but with how he rules rules are for protecting QBs that by rule should have been a call. Also a late hit to the head of any player should be called that was clearly late.

Coleman's crew yesterday was drizzling %s awful. The NFL needs to start penalizing these guys somehow. Or rewarding them for getting it right.
The NFL has the best officiating in all of sports, but that's still like saying "It's the least burnt cookie on the tray".
Lol i like your analogy. But its true. Webb was all over Hilton, and that hit on Luck that Mosley put on him definitely should have been called. When a QB or is on the ground that is an immediate penalty. That one is the one i was most mad about.

It's that time of the week! Time to be thankful!
What's worse than 3-2?
The bengals talent in a prime time game.
What's worse than 3-2?
After a week of hearing how Brady is washed up and Blichick is ruining his franchise and "the patriot way" has taken on more importance than winning and being successful now the media is bowing at their feet once more worshiping how great they are.
What's worse than 3-2?
Being the away team in your own stadium. I'm looking at you, Dallas.
The refs yesterday lol. Idk if it was me but that late hit on Luck, Ladarius Webb, the PI call on Toler they were terrible.
-
Mosley was at fault for the dirty hit on Luck that you speak of.
Did you see the hit on Mosley after he intercepted Luck later in the game? One of our lineman nearly took his head off during the return.
Karma at its best.
That should have been called. Especially with all the new rules about protecting Quarterbacks that was a horrible miss call. The refs were just horrible all around yesterday.
-
I love the signing! He can easily give us a good rotation of Walden, Werner, Newsome, and Butler.
-
Really? Pretty lame comment even if you thought it was funny.
Wow, I don't know what have your panties all rustled. I think its time to lighten up there.

Harrisons pass blocking was great i saw absolutely no pressure from him, but his run blocking was just non-existance. Luck played a great delay hand off, had the LBs faked out, and all Harrison had to do was block McPhee and he completely whiffed.
I great pass blocking on the OL yesterday. But the screen and run blocking definitely weren't there.

I think his point is that you're making a grammatical error. To say you could care less means you care some, so you do care. What I think you meant to say is "I couldn't care less", which means you don't care about the Pro Bowl
Yeah i figured it was lol. I just know he replied to it trying to be snarky.
-
how much less can you care?
The pro bowl is a joke. All it is is a popularity contest. Yeah it would be cool if he made it but in the grand scheme of an NFL season its all about the Super Bowl.
-
More questionable play calling by Pep. All that matters is the W
I liked the play calling. The Ravens defense was the most physical defense we've faced all year, I'm honestly fine with a bad offensive game.
-
him getting benched is seriously beyond me.
-
To be honest i can care less about the pro bowl. The only bowl i want Vontae to be in is the Super Bowl.

I have never ever posted against our Coaches however after today's botch of game management near the end I personally need an explanation.
Y in the fire pit would you run the ball up 7, in field goal range with a minute fifty left...
It should've been take knee all the way and kick field goal. NO WAY Ravens will ever score 10 points in a minute thirty... EVER
This bonehead decision could've cost us the game and somebody needs some Splainin' to do
This is hands down a bonehead post. So the coaching gets criticized for passing in the red zone against the Eagles, but when they run it they also get criticized?? Great play calling to run the clock down it was just a mistake by Bradshaw, no one else to blame.
-
Yup! Heard a lot about our wins being against poor teams.... Well, now they can shut up!
Exactly! Now we go to Houston and shut down the talk of them being a threat to us. They beat the Raiders, Redskins, and Bills. Come on now...
-
I agree and IMO I actually would like to see Montori play more than Chapman. Chapman is still getting pushed back and he isn't getting the penetration we need. Montori played really well run stopping and his penetration was really good against the Ravens OL.
Butler, Mewhort, Thornton, Art Jones all OUT.

Im honestly not too worried about these guys. Louis played pretty decent, Reitz has started and he has shown to play very well. Gordy will play fine. I really just was AQ to start again. We cant afford to have Harrison botching snaps against the Texans.
