  1. He is just a fraction slow anticipating and reacting. A soft link to having a good Defense.
  2. Moss is a tougher runner if you are only going to run at the pile. We came up with a lower game plan offensively. We were 27th in yardage allowed WITH all of the turnovers we had created. Is it a big surprise they would pile up some yardage if we didn't turn them over? How many plays did we see Zaire diving at them as they ran by and Thomas never close to anyone to make a play? Speed is really improving with experience.
  3. Taylor is so "patient". You will rarely gain more than 3-4 yards doing that. Put the kids in. They will use their power or speed. Surprise, Taylor has sucked on a couple pass plays to.
  4. Baker being demoted sounds like a positive to me. lol So is Steichen stepping in to change our defensive concepts after our bye week. I kinda like the Idea of Pittman and Moss off this week. It's a real test for Pierce and others to get their chances to execute. Minshew is thinking fast and on target Rivers style so if the line is good 👍 I really like our chances.
  5. I think we should come out of the draft with a high end guard prospect. One to compete with Fries, and we shouldn't count on him and Q starting 17 games next season. Freeland projects having good starter ability.
  6. Ballard was stuck with his old school ways and so was Frank. Sirianni was important for any Reich success for 2 years. Then it started going downhill. Steichen and his staff are good for Ballard's evolvement.
  7. Hopefully the run game is strong again so we can run more than we have to pass. Pierce and Montgomery would get a few more targets, along with Downs. But Steichen knows he must spread it around.
  8. Ballard the employee. Irsay has a voice in his business. Who could possibly doubt this? Irsay did say he was reluctant giving Frank a new contract. It All fell on him to make that decision.
  9. One difference is that Granson was not out there missing blocks.
  10. Watching the play over and over I see the ball right in front of Cazee. He chose to go for the big hit rather than extending his arms to strip the ball away.
  11. Minshew has made me want to see what Sam could do many games. Pittman has been the consistent glue holding our offense together. Kudos to Steichen and Jim Bob dealing with the turnover Machine that Minshew has historically been.
  12. Take another week off, I want to see more of these other 2 backs.
  13. Our scouts typically find the players and as we read pound the table for their finds. Ballard has the final say of course. Considering the value of the LT position, Ballard shouldn't be given credit for choosing Pierce over Raimann. Remember, Ballard put his insight, and our $$ on Pryor. He/we perhaps, lucked out.
  14. Trubisky was bad and the reason we scored over 20. Steichen and Jim Bob are getting a lot out of what we have. How about our run game without $Taylor$! Fries best FB should be ahead of him and he is overall better/more consistent than Glow. Freeland starting next year doesn't scare me. Speeds mental > than his physical makes for a winner. He should keep getting better with experience. I like him starting for our SB run. Hope Cross keeps getting PT. 43 Denbow is a coverage warrior on ST. The game compared to being abusive to a hungry homeless person, Pitt was so weak. Maybe Tomlin ends up coaching the Pats.
  15. Speed is becoming really good against the run. He is getting off blocks well and slicing through the line to make plays. I expect us to give him a nice payday.
  16. If we claim him do you think he will show up? If someone else claims him would he show up? The suggestion is that we Right Now need a better run defender backup than Johnson. There is no question about that! It has Zero to do with next season. Unless he is seen as a less expensive replacement for Grover if we get outbid for Grove's service's. In that regard it makes great sense to get him in the building Now to check him out up close and personal. The guy needs a change of scenery and will likely bust his * playing to get paid. A hungry player would fit Ballard's needs.
  17. I see the same. Q is not knocking guys off the line as in his first few years. Kelly and Fries are technicians and pretty good at it. I find it interesting that Philly has 4 Big superb o-lineman and are having trouble running the ball. Freaky considering their receiving corp and Hurts. We have a great asset in Steichen to figure out our direction. lol
  18. Bums is an old school term that perfectly fits our back seven. They are not good as a group, nor should we expect this bunch of young late rounders to be good. 2-3 that started will be good backups somewhere, 2-3 will be practice squad types, and Franklin will probably be a starter on an average D. Players are encouraged to not read forums, and I would suggest many that do use it for motivation. So you are full of yourself once again, oh great one. Your attempt to hate on me is Yada Yada Yada.
  19. We are a mess talent wise with our back seven. I could see us having 5 different starters next season. I hope so. Steichen will have more influence next year with how we choose to defend. And he will expect $$ spent in FA for a stud or two for his D.
  20. Yip. I expect us to sign a very high end LB or S.
  21. Doyleish. I'll take a guy that catches everything thrown his way and is a solid blocker. Here's hoping.
  22. Bradley has a bunch of bums in his back 7. This kind of results should be Expected. We are Not what some knuckleheads think we should be. With Minshews arm teams should always play 8 in the box. Stop our run game and give him his dink and dunks. He is constantly inconsistent and struggles to get all the way to the end zone. We are now playing like we were expected to play.
  23. Gardner does make quick decisions and trusts himself to throw pretty accurately up to 8 or so yards downfield. After that you get the double clutching, heal clicking, duck and runs. Shane had a nice package of dump offs that became our offense. Cincinnati took full advantage of Gardners limitations.
