Four brothers (two older, two younger) and three sisters (all younger). I am now a practicing attorney in and around the Portland, Oregon area. Attended Stanford where, for my first two years, I had the privilege of watching now-Colts QB Andrew Luck during his final two years. Own a small portion of my family's business.     now why do sundays just seem anticlimactic without some football?

      The way the talking heads are going, there will not be an NFL in 20-30 years....it better not happen in my lifetime. Hockey, Lacrosse, boxing, and the MMA have as much/more crushing blows/concussions than football. The NFL needs to move to the newest technology in helmets IMO/not just Riddell.

      A few months ago, during the Gregg Williams Bounty Gate scandal I had a debate with a Forum blogger who made a good point. The NFL uniform attire has zero pads for the legs & lower body because it would slow down the speed of the game. So much for player safety. Look, I know Goodell must balance revenue vs. player safety, but safety encompasses more than just helmets IMO.

      are you talking about the old uniforms or the new ones (not that there's necessarily a difference)? at some point, they've got to improve the protection quality of the uniforms/equipment.
