You have to wonder if this hurts his chances as a head coach.
-
He can work out all he wants, but unless they get a line that can protect him he will have the same issues next year.
How about a tall receiver that can out jump the defense as we saw Boldin do.
-
We need a tall receiver that can win jump balls just like Boldin did to us yesterday.
-
Especially on offense...
No insult. Its what we are....
...so many dropped passes.....dropped interceptions, too
419 yards and 25 first downs.....0 TDs,,,that's disappointing..
We need a tall receiver that can out jump the defenders in the end zone. It works against us. We need it to work for us next year.
-
Yes, they did.
Much like teams picked on Jacob Lacey, there is always one guy teams pick on.
Tim Jennings, then Jacob Lacey, now Cassius Vaughn???
Tim Jennings led the NFL in interceptions with the Bears this year. Maybe it was our system.
-
The officials made some bad balls, but it didn't cost us the game. The defense actually played well enough to win. We lost because:
1. we couldn't protect Luck
2. we couldn't stop a tall receiver
Our running game picked up enough yards to make it effective.
-
We need a tall receiver that can make catches like we saw today from Boldin especially in the red zone.

Painter is starting for the Colts. I am already sorry I said that.

Take two aspirins and call me in the morning.

Since everything is on the line in the playoffs and there is no tomorrow unless you win will Luck get the green light to run more? He has shown he can pick up some big yardage when he takes off.
Go Colts!!

It was his wallet in his back pocket.

I am holding off on any predictions until after the games are played.

i haven't seen this posted here anywhere, but if it is, forgive me and feel free to pull it down....
Tony Dungy criticized John Harbaugh, who he believes rested his players to get the Colts over the Bengals...
It's here in the Baltimore paper: http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2012-12-31/sports/bal-tony-dungy-disagrees-with-john-harbaughs-decision-to-pull-starters-20121231_1_indianapolis-colts-coach-john-harbaugh-tony-dungy
From the Article:
“I’m a little surprised that John Harbaugh is saying that they were not playing for more,” Dungy said during Sunday night’s broadcast just prior to the Dallas Cowboys-Washington Redskins tilt. “They had a chance to get to the No. 3 seed. He was very comfortable at No. 4 and that tells me that they want to play in Indianapolis. I would have played my guys to go ahead and get a chance to get to the No. 3 spot.”
Fellow analyst Rodney Harrison disagreed with Dungy. “I believe it was the right move,” the former New England Patriots safety said. “What is the difference between Cincinnati and Indianapolis? It’s not like the difference between Cincinnati and the Patriots.”
Dungy’s last comment on the topic: “He wanted Indianapolis and he’s got them now.”

That's funny. Dungy not agreeing with resting players? How many times did he rest players when he was the coach of the Colts!!
If we had Pagano or a tough coach like him instead of Dungy we would have won at least one more super bowl when Peyton was here.

I will save my prediction until after the game.

Heading to the game in Baltimore this weekend with my wife and we're wondering - anyone been to Baltimore and M&T Bank Stadium? Tips on places to grub, cool local bars, must sees, places to avoid, maybe an underground Colts fan hangout? We're going to the game, and have Friday and Saturday to check out the city. Thinking about maybe cruising up to D.C. to say what up to the Capitol and thank them for playing nice with the fiscal cliff.
For a Colts fan who hasn't been to an away playoff game before, any advice in general would be much Uh-Pree-She-8-ted.
Go Horse.
Riggs
Bring a gun and some pepper spray.

ESPN power rankings now has Houston 2 spots below the Colts. They must be ready to jump off the fiscal cliff in Texas. Oh well, They still have the Cowboys!!

Playing with his injured left thumb wrapped Sunday, Colts MLB Jerrell Freeman broke Jeff Herrod's 1994 frachise record with 202 "unofficial" tackles this season.
That number comes courtesy of the coaching staff. The NFL credits Freeman with 145 tackles, which ranks fifth in the league. The CFL's runner-up for Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2011 has been one of many gems unearthed by first-year GM Ryan Grigson.Must resign him if his contract is up.From Indystar thru RotoworldWhy is there such a big difference in the number of tackles?
-
If we had a tough minded coach like Pagano and our present GM, we would have won at least one more super bowl when Peyton was here.
-
Imo, Arians is too old to start Fresh. Might as well go out in Indy. We're only in Year 1 of the Monster Building..... why leave us when you played a HUGE Role in this Team being 11-5. All the Coaches did. I don't see any of them leaving us unless Irsay gives them the boot which I doubt he will

He can't keep carrying the ball on every running play. We need to get Carter healthy and hope he doesn't fumble the ball. Ballard had a bad drop on a pass that would have given us a first down. I like him though. He runs hard and keeps churning those legs.
-
Does anybody else see the fault in looking ahead? Sure it would be nice to play either team for various reasons, but the Ravens aren't going to lay down for us so we can live out our playoff fantasies.. We don't play in the games so we can look as far ahead as we like.
We don't play in the games so we there is no harm in looking ahead. I seldom do, but that's just me.

should have had two picks. anyone else thing ron winters hates the colts
I was on a plane watching Red Zone at the time. I think that was a lousy interference call that took his interception away.
The refs are too inconsistent on pass interference.
-
No matter what happens it was a great year. I think of all the teams in the playoffs I would rather play Balt than anyone. If we go to NE it is really going to be a blowout.
-
We are going to be on a plane when the game is being played. I hope they have individual tvs with direct tv so i can watch the game. If not, I am going to be a mess until i find out the score.
The Denver secondary-where were they tonight?

I thought the Broncos got some really bad calls. One was the third down review that Boldin never caught. The ball clearly hit the ground. That would have forced a Ravens punt deep in their end with little time left.
The interception of Peyton's was pass interference.
