  1. Houston, we have a problem. Stroud in concussion protocol, Nico Collins hurt, Tank Dell done for the year. Losing 30-6 to the Jets.

Denver is taking it to the Chargers. Herbert is out; I don't know who their back up QB is. It looks like Branden Staley's job could be on the line.

What about his tweets are maddening?

Irsay recently tweeted that Bryant Gumbel treated him with contempt in an interview. Irsay also claimed that police were prejudice against him in 2014 arrest. I didn't see the interview, just repeating what he said. I don't know if "maddening" was the right word, but Irsay has no problem speaking his mind on certain issues, even when not popular.

  3. Last week I won when I wagered that DaRon Bland would get an interception. I'm not sure that I'll risk that again this week.

My pick is that the Cowboys win in a close game. They want to get revenge against the Eagles and try for division title. I'm interested in how Shaquille Leonard will be utilized by the Eagles.

  4. Congratulations to Green Bay! There were some bad calls, but the Packers outplayed the Chiefs and deserved to win. The injuries didn't help, either.

Barn burner in New England. Chargers win 6-0. Belichick left a post game press conference early. He is getting frustrated, and I have a feeling that he will retire after this season. I don't the team replacing him this late.

  5. I don't automatically take sides in these kind of situations; I wait until I learn all the facts.  Just because the woman accuses someone of assault doesn't mean it happened.  If the man denies it, that doesn't mean he's innocent, either.

It's unfortunate that I feel this way, but there have too many false accusations. It's best to wait until there is enough evidence before jumping to any conclusions.

  6. Seahawks leading Cowboys at halftime 21-20. I have Cowboys defense in my fantasy lineup, and so far they've given me a zero. I expected at least a couple sacks or interception. Maybe they will do something in the second half.

On the other side, Seattle has sacked Prescott two or three times.

The Cowboys will be in trouble if they can't win against teams above 500.

  7. I'm thinking Brandon Staley, Maybe not during the season, but if the Chargers don't make the playoffs he could be gone.

Arthur Smith has the support of the owner, so his job seems safe, even if the Falcons miss the playoffs. The team is currently in first place in the NFC South , so he won't be leaving anytime soon.

  8. MNF was strangely entertaining. The Bears couldn't' score in the red zone despite all those chances and Dobbs was constantly under pressure. It was anyone's game until the final minutes.

O'Connell isn't committing to Dobbs as starter after last night. It seems the "honeymoon" period with Dobbs is ending. That didn't take long.

  9. The USA article is B.S. The writer had to bring up George Floyd, and that's where it lost all credibility.  Irsay made a mistake at the time he got arrested. There was no reason for him to bring it up 9 years later unless he wanted headlines. I realize that Irsay is outspoken and doesn't care what others think. That can sometimes be a good thing, but in this case it didn't help.

  10. I'm not thinking playoffs yet.  One of the biggest obstacles is the Steelers. The only advantage is that the game is in Indy, but that might not even matter. Somehow the Steelers could find a sneaky way to win.

The only bet I made this week was Mark Andrews getting over 57 yards on Thursday. Look how that turned out. :( I doubt that I'll bet anything else this week.

  11. The NFL won't be getting a "Swiftie bowl" even if the Chiefs are in it.  TS is on her International tour in early February and most likely wouldn't be at the game. (yay) It means I can watch the Super Bowl if KC is in it without being subjected to hundreds of views of Swift.

I want the Ravens in the Super Bowl rather than the Chiefs. Not a big fan of the Ravens, but they're better than KC. The AFC needs someone new to represent them.
