Counting one-two-three. How many minutes until the "Fire Pagano" threads start? I think they're staring now.

Re-watched the Force Awakens twice yesterday....The more I go back to this film, the less I am impressed with it. Each scene is very nostalgia heavy, and the film does a terrific job paying tribute to what Star Wars is about all in image. One could write a book demonstrating it scene by scene what the film is calling back to in the classic movies.
However, as beautiful as a film is, it don't make up for lack of storytelling. Essentially it's a New Hope 2.0 in it's framework and Abrams and company played this VERY safe. Why does the Empire still exist 40 years ago blowing up the death star and killing Vader and the Emperor? Why do the rebels still act (and look) like a rag tag team of partisans opposing the bigger established system? If anything, the rebels should be the ones in power now and whatever is left of the Empire should be scattered and weak.
After further thought on this, I wish they would have went with more original EU material to make up a story. Timothy Zahn's book and the character of Thrawn alone, could have inspired a much better film.

I haven't seen "The Force Awakens" and not sure I want to see it. The last few Star Wars movies I've watched haven't impressed me at all. Maybe the franchise has run its course and needs to be put to rest once and for all. There is only so much a producer and director can do with this storyline until they run out of ideas. IMO it be best if Hollywood dropped the whole Star Wars franchise and tried new things instead.

The Steelers offense is just unreal. Long ball after longball, run after run. The skins cant even touch em. Nice to see Toler getting turned to toast when he's not on our team though

Andrew Luck and Drew Brees today combined for 8 TDs and no interceptions. And both lose.
Very sad.

All the best to my beloved 16-year-old nephew Christopher as he travels today to study one semester in France with his senior high school class.
Blessed and safe travels, Chris. As Tim McGraw says, remember to remain humble and kind as you prepare for the rest of your life.

I had a dream where I was at the Superbowl and the teams playing were Green Bay and Buffalo. Location was in Houston, ad the score was tied 6-6 at halftime. I work up before the game ended, so don't know the winner. Premonition as to the next Superbowl? Not sure, but the dream seemed very real.

Congrats to #4 making it into the Hall of Fame. The greatest Packers quarterback ever, and the reason a lot of 80's babies fell in love with the NFL. I would not have begun watching football as often if it weren't for #4, thanks for the memories!

Just spent the evening being entertained by James Taylor. I was in awe of this man's amazing incredible talent. "How Sweet it is"

Not a great day to be celebrating a birthday... Thoughts and prayers for all those who have lost loved ones in these senseless killings the past few days in Dallas, MN, and other places.

Finding Dory looks like a fun sequel! Shame it's not coming out this week

"Finding Dory" looks good; I enjoyed the film "Finding Nemo", and this one seems to be on the same order.
I watched trailers for the new ":Ghostbusters" film, and wasn't impressed. Somehow I can't get my mind around a new cast. No matter what, I can't see it comparing to the original. I've seen too many remakes that never should have been done.
