What took most of the summer was moving into the new house with my husband Mark, was A LOT of work, still doing stuff. Tons of fun this summer but man has it been HOT off and on, wow. We got two kittens named Buddy and Holly (don't ask lol).

Question #24....The show about nothing on NBC!
-
Sharpen your brains people! #1 Who were the original correspondents of 60 Minutes that celebrated their 50th anniversary?!
-
Prince, a fellow Vikesfan, would have celebrated his 60th birthday today, if he were still alive. I think his halftime performance in Super Bowl XL1 was the best I have seen. And who won that Super Bowl?
Continue to rest in peace.

Got engaged on Christmas Eve!!! We are looking at May or June for the wedding right now or some month when it's not brutally cold lol. I was kinda torn on the idea of "the wedding" but I agreed to it due to him since he really wants to go all out on this. He is sort of the romantic type actually and yes those men still exist in todays age!!! And my family wants a special wedding and his mother/sister wants to do something special so.......well I can do it. His father died when he was in his 20's so I think his mom really wants to do something special for her son and family and I respect this. Most I know want a fun celebration so I can do that for them since I don't mind getting dolled up.
Neither one of us has been married before so this is all new to us. We are going to buy a new house together too before the wedding.
I am 36 and Mark is 37. We feel too old for the whole party thing beforehand in terms of something sleazy. I am just going to do something normal with a few girls I know and my sister. And he and his friends are doing something like going to one of the early season Red Sox games and making it a big event. They are mad mad baseball fanatics. He is a Boston sports fan yes but a nice one. He often teases me about coming online for Colts stuff and is like "So whats new with the Colts this week......who got hurt today on the team?". He actually likes Andrew Luck too and hopes he can come back 100%.
Never thought I would get married my whole life but this is what I want now, you just never do know where life will take you. He is my soulmate and we actually can read each others minds. I met him a few years ago but we were mostly just close friends (who liked each other) until we became exclusive romantically this recent summer. But before we got official, we were talking nearly everyday and everyone just wanted us to get together already lol. It became way way too obvious.
I met him through my first cousin's husband who introduced us a few years ago. And our first time hanging out was seeing a cheesy Adam Sandler movie.
My cousin is my age exactly.......we grew up together and her husband wanted me to meet a guy he worked with. He had a picture of me and my cousin on his phone with me in a Colts scarf.
Anyway I hope everyone else had a great holiday weekend and Christmas!!!!
Glad the season is almost over too, we deserve to move on and regroup to better times.

Anyone else watching this Dolphins/Pats game?

Hope my fellow New Yorkers are safe tonight after another senseless attack on innocent people. Thoughts and prayers are with victims and their families. Hug your loved ones today.
-
A former NYC policeman said in an interview that he thinks this kind of thing is the "new normal." I tend to agree with him, as scary as it is. These kind of attacks are happening too often, and it's just become a part of our lives now. Depressing to think of it that way, but how else could we consider it? Dangerous world we live in.

Looks like the Saints have been doing pretty good....shame i haven't been able to really enjoy it much this past month. Managing music seems to have taken up all my time now...
-
Drew Brees continues doing well. He became the third quarterback to pass for 6000 career yards, behind Favre and Manning. He accomplished this in less games than the other two, so that's something.
I've had the Saints defense in my fantasy lineups and they've done quite well. This is the first time I've trusted their defense, and it's worked most of the time.

In with Halloween what was your favorite Halloween TV show like growing up...
"The Adams Family" or the "The Munsters!?"
Love both to be honest as hard to tell.

It's been nice chatting with some of you on various threads. I'm getting excited about coming to Indy this weekend.

RIP Tom Petty.....one of my all time faves. I had seen him play a few times but none was as good as at The Jones Beach Amphitheater in 1985...thunder and lightning coming off the angry Atlantic ocean in his background and after two delays........he just played his heart out in the rain! He began it with this song...

I REFUSE to let newly-sown seeds of divisiveness to take away my love of the Indianapolis Colts !! I WILL attend games and will PROUDLY stand during the national anthem !!

The. Same. Story. Every. Year.
Fire Sean Payton - he has had 5 YEARS to figure this thing out on defense...coaches change, players change, schemes change, yet here we are and nothing has really changed in play. Still looks as bad as it did 5 years ago. Officially done with this....

In response to your question,my neighbor's cat wasn't real small or miniature. She was over a year old, so didn't have kittens too young. I have no idea why she abandoned them; sometimes it just happens in nature,.
How is the cat's health now? You had mentioned that her body was broken after having kittens. That's quite a large litter for such a small cat.

I've heard of this happening sometimes. If a cat is too young or small when she has kittens, she doesn't always know how to act with them, and doesn't understand what to do. When I was growing up, our neighbor's cat abandoned her kittens because she didn't know any better. Another cat adopted those kittens as her own. It was a strange situation, but turned out OK because the kittens were raised by another cat.
There's not much you could have done in this case, but it doesn't make things any easier. It sounds like your cat will never be a good mother, she just doesn't have the instinct for it.

If the negative reception tonight in L.A. is anything to go by, the Chargers should've stayed in San Diego...That stadium is going to be overrun with opposing team fans all the time. It's going to be worse than when it happened at Qualcom. This is only preseason and yet there are so many empty seats and a visible portion of Saints fans all over the place.

Anybody Going to Watch the Solar Eclipse a Week from Monday? Just wondering! Not a fan of stuff like that but know some on this board are!
-
You're NOT suppose to watch it. I wouldn't trust buying special glasses off the internet. Amazon was selling glasses, but I heard that some of them don't work well and are being recalled. I haven't checked in my area, but some libraries might carry them.
If I read it right, Indiana isn't going to be affected much, just maybe a partial one, so I'm not getting that excited. Also, there are warnings out not to take photos of it because it could cause damage. I have a feeling that some people will over react and pay the price. Not worth it, IMO.
