  1. The Broncos released S Justin Simmons and are restructuring Patrick Surtain contract. Jonnu Smith signed a two year 10 million dollar deal with the Dolphins. The Bills signed QB Mitch Trubisky to a one year contract as back up. The Bengals are expected to release RB Joe Mixon.
  2. I don't understand the team travel grade of "D." Does that mean the type of plane used (private or commercial)? Also, ownership is "C". I thought Irsay was liked by most of the players. Maybe there are some things he does that they don't approve.
  3. I have no respect for Travis Kelce or Andy Reid after this happened. Reid wasn't in any danger, and later seemed to laugh it off but the action was unnecessary. Others can excuse the heated exchange all they want, but I don't agree. The Chiefs seem to favor winning over morals. That's all I have to say on the matter. I wonder if anything will come of this. If not, it sets a bad precedence for the NFL which is quick to place fines over almost anything.
  4. The Chiefs are becoming the dynasty that's as disliked as the Patriots were. They condone bad behavior (looking at Kelce) which is not a good look for a championship team. I would reluctantly congratulate them, but can't say that I'm thrilled with the win.
  5. I'm listening to Classic rock station and occasionally checking on the score. It doesn't look like I'm missing much by not watching. At least, so far.
  6. NFLfan, I like Tom Grossi and watch many of his podcasts. He also does charity work-raised a large amount of money for St. Jude this past summer.
  7. NFLfan, any thoughts on Tom Grossi of Packast podcasts? He was named NFL "fan of the year". He has always been a Packers fan and doesn't like the Vikings, so wondered if you don't like him, find him entertaining or just ignore him. I like watching his podcasts. They aren't all about the Packers, as he recognizes and satirizes all NFL teams.
  8. My sister lives in Chicago. maybe I can talk her into getting me their autographs. I would pay her back for this. The problem is that she isn't into sports, so would have no interest in attending this event.
  9. I'm just over saturated with Taylor Swift news all the time. It becomes too much; the media has made this year's Super Bowl all about Swift, even if the network shows her only for a few seconds. If she and Kelce ever break up, then the news will be about the failed relationship. There is more important news than what Taylor Swift is up to. I'm tired of her, Kelce and the whining by certain KC players when they don't get their way. OTOH, I wouldn't mind seeing Brock Purdy pull out a victory. He seems like a good guy.
  10. Tom Brady for sure. Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers. There is debate about whether Eli Manning is HOF worthy. I'm not sure, have to check out his statistics.
  11. Staying home maybe watching a movie, eating chicken nuggets, fries and other things. Will check out the score occasionally on NFL website. I might watch some of the game if it's a close score. Otherwise don't care who wins in the "Swiftie Bowl." I can see all the commercials on You tube. I'm not real familiar with Usher's songs, so maybe will watch some of halftime.
  12. Maybe Bieniemy could end up with the Chiefs, if they would give him another chance. I don't know how well he and Andy Reid got along, although Mahomes has said some complimentary things about Bieniemy.
  13. Greg Olsen will probably find another job. I liked his analysis, but am willing to give Tom Brady a chance. He knows football, though I wonder if he will show any bias towards a team and if he's an interesting speaker. The network is paying Brady a boatload of money without even knowing how well he will do. They must have a lot of confidence in his broadcasting abilities.
  14. My prediction: the pre game festivities will include as much news, or more, about Taylor Swift than the game or players (other than Travis Kelce.) Wonder if it's already fixed for the Chiefs to win. (half kidding.)
  15. Mahomes has won Super Bowls for one team; Manning and Brady have won it for two. I can't deny Mahomes' talent, but I would like to see him win with a different coach before viewing him better than Peyton Manning.
  16. I wonder if Dan Campbell will lose out on COTY honors after these mistakes.
  17. I wonder if the Ravens will have some coaching changes. The team was undisciplined and had too many penalties. Some of it is on players, but I think the coaches are to blame, also. I have a feeling that the 49ers will pull out the win. I might skip the Super Bowl if it's the 49ers and Swifties.
  18. I think Detroit could match up well against KC. If they continue playing like this, they will. So over the Chiefs, (I have many reasons I don't' care about them), the Lions would be a nice change.
  19. I lost some respect for Mahomes after he acted like a diva in the loss to the Bills. Kadarius Toney lined up wrong and both Mahomes and Reid were fined for their reactions to the referees. The Chiefs had already made the playoffs, so it's not like the game was a must win. (Maybe for seeding, but the Chiefs acted like it was their right to be #1.) All the attention about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce make it very easy to be against the Chiefs. So do Mahomes' wife and brother. Lions and Ravens for Super Bowl, and it would be great if the Lions won.
  20. Texans shouldn't feel too bad. They went from playing for #1 draft pick last year to Divisional round this year. Big turnaround and they have a bright future. Very few teams matched up against the Ravens this year. (How did the Colt manage to beat the Ravens?) Congratulations to the Ravens!
  21. The Packers are underdogs against the 49ers. Are you betting on them in the Divisional? Could make extra money if you're willing to risk it.
  22. The Chiefs are as annoying as the Patriots were a few years ago; always winning. That gets tiresome except for their fans. I can't deny the talent, but it's time for a different team in the Super Bowl. I still want Green Bay and Detroit in the NFC Championship. Nothing against SF and I like Baker Mayfield, so I won't feel too bad if either one makes it. However, the Packers and Lions would be a lot of fun to watch: two teams from the NFC North (who no one expected) fighting for the Super Bowl.
  23. It hasn't been confirmed that Irsay's respiratory infection is connected with his illness in December. The two might have nothing in common. I hope that he makes a full recovery. I think, though, that he needs to step down because of health problems. He needs to take care of himself and let his family take over the Colts organization.
  24. Disagree with that. The Chiefs are more annoying than the Bills and I hope Buffalo takes the divisional round. I want to see the Packers and Lions in the NFC Championship game. That would be epic! Odds are against it, but one never knows.
