CHICAGO BEARS - Retaining Matt Eberflus - Fired the Offensive Coordinator and 4 other members of the offensive staff. Defensive Coordinator Alan Williams resigned during the season. One of the priorities of a new DC will be gameday play calling
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS - Coach Pete Carroll is no longer the head coach - but - will remain in an "advisor" capacity for the team

This is a little ridiculous. Colts did not do this. Take some accountability. Maybe he wasn’t the leader we thought and more of the problem.
I'm truly saddened by these remarks by Shaq Leonard!!
I wish he and his family nothing but the best moving forward to the next chapters of their lives!!
I DO NOT think that the Colts "talked down on my name" - as Shaq accuses.
Instead - I think that the team had to make a decision (for various reasons).
They had Shaq & his family at the following home game so that the fans could thank him for his efforts for our team!!
They put a sign on his banner on Lucas Oil Stadium thanking him!!
The business part of the NFL sometimes hurts - for both players & fans - but - like any other aspect of our society - business always trumps emotions!!
-
NFL.com has a page dedicated to coaching fires & hires - PLUS - front office fires & hires!!
That's the "go to webpage" for updated information:

Arthur Smith couldn't "make it work" offensively with multiple high-pick offensive players - and - average QB play.
Desmond Ritter was "supposed to be" their next franchise QB - but - he is a bust!!
-
This firing was a complete surprise to me.
Colin Cowherd indicated that there was a "power struggle" within the organization and Vrabel lost.
Cowherd also indicated that Mike Vrabel would be at the top of the New England Patriots list to hire.

When do YOU start "Scouting Players" for the 2024 Fantasy Football Season?

I think Eberflus stays unless Harbaugh becomes available, IMO.Cardinals have 2 first rounders, and if they want to get rid of Murray, might be their best chance to move up.
Commanders and Patriots might want to trade with bears too. So Bears can drop to No.3 and still get MHJ
Arizona Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon has already announced that Kyler Murray is their QB for 2024.
-
First things first - do the Bears retain Head Coach Matt Eberflus & the GM Ryan Poles??
Second things second - do the Bears decide to build around QB Justin Fields (which they should) - and - add quality pieces on offense & defense with their position at the top of each round??
OR - does the whole organization get gutted and adopt a "let's start all over" attitude - which will set the team back by YEARS??
-
It all depends on the individual as to their aspirations.
Thus far - the NFL has:
Women in front office roles
Women in athletic trainer and/or dietician roles
Women in assistant coaching roles
But - a lot of the "on the field" roles have come fairly recently.
Teams with women in "on the field" roles are primarily because the head coach is willing to hire women for their staff.
To the best of my knowledge - there is NO NFL mandate to interview and/or hire women.

Previous owners have done far worse with no repercussions… look how much it took for the owners to finally do something about Snyder.
Excellent point!!

I think I just coughed up a fur ball.......

WOW!!
One wonders WHEN the NFL will begin the "stonger sanctions" against David Tepper?
-
When I was younger - and - had more $$$ - I used to travel to NFL road games for the Miami Dolphins.
I found out - QUICKLY - that fans from ANY team in the northeast act like donkey patooties!! My apologies to all donkeys.
They are offensive towards the visiting team fans - throwing things at the visiting team - yelling very ugly things at visiting fans when those fans cheer for their team - spill beer "accidentally" in your lap or down your back - etc.
But - I was totally surprised that they would act the SAME WAY toward their team.
Been there - done that - won't EVER do that again!!

Based on reports it’s not the NFL that doesn’t want full time officials. It’s the officials. They don’t want to give up their high paying jobs they do Monday through Friday and since they are an union they have to bargain over that and right now it’s something the officials won’t give in on.
Hire NEW full-time officials and train them in the off season.
Thanks for the information - I hadn't heard that before.
-
It is high time that the NFL employs FULL-TIME REFEREES!!
As part of their employment - there should consequences for bad calls.
-
Yes - and - lost.
In the interest of transparency - I was dealing with grief after a death in the family on Saturday morning. I failed to rearrange my roster in time.
Finished the season in 2nd place with a 13 - 3 record.
I am already scouting for my 2024 fantasy draft!!
-
I choose NOT to judge someone WITHOUT ALL THE FACTS!!
The Colts & the NFL are looking in to the allegations and will make the appropriate decisions at the right time.
My thoughts & prayers go out to Drew Ogletree - and - the others involved in this matter.

What will the Colts record be in the final two games?
-
Until the team gets ALL the "pieces" needed to have a "kick *" offense - players may look average for a while.
I want the team to extend Michael Pittman Jr. - and - add two wideouts via free agency or the draft.
Competition makes everyone better.
-
I wish Shaq Leonard & his family the very very best in the next chapter of their lives!!
God bless!!

The NFL regular season is winding down - and - so the fantasy football playoffs should wrap up this coming weekend.
Did YOU make it to your league's Fantasy Super Bowl?
- 1
-
As of this weekend - that total will rise to 60 - IF I've done my math right.
-
The Vikings announced today that they are starting 5th round draft pick QB Jaren Hall over backup QB Nick Mullens - this weekend - in a MUST WIN game for the Vikings.
-
I totally agree - Mike McDaniel SHOULD be in the "Coach of the Year" conversation!!
QB Tua Tagolivoa & WR Tyreek Hill should BOTH be in the "NFL MVP" conversation as well!!
