  1. I fail to see, how after last year, Jay Cutler does not get mentioned in the elite status. That guy carried the Bears last year. Sure they have a pretty good defense, but it isn't the Bears of old. Their Oline rivals the worst in the league, and the guy has no actual threats to throw the ball to. Before he got hurt and they were what, 3rd in the conference behind the undefeated Packers and the 49ers who lost 2 games all year? Once he's gone they can't even muster a win if I'm not mistaken. His value was truly shown, much like Peyton's, when he was no longer playing.

The fact that people put Ben Roethlesberger in elite status, when his team can go 3-1 without him with Dennis Dixon, yet leave Cutler off their lists, I just don't get it. Give him a decent Oline and 17 Wide Receivers like they have in Green Bay, and I would not be afraid to take a bet saying he puts up Rodgers-like numbers and Rodgers-like wins. Heck, Matt Flynn comes in to that offense and breaks records on his first outing.

.....and all this is coming from a guy that hated Cutler prior to last year.

false cutler didn't carry the bears last year . That honor belongs to Matt forte who was 59% of the bears offense last year . Cutler is nothing without forte .
  2. Anybody that still believe we made a wrong decision is not a sincere but a die hard PEYTON fan!

This one necessary for the franchise to get back to winning long term and in the near future plus now was better than ever with Andrew there you might get a couple 10 plus win seasons maybe a sb ring nut when Peyton retires and you've trades luck you'll have 6-8 years of horrible football.

2-3 is much more doable and to be honest I think we are further along then we give ourselves credit for but that's just me.

Peyton leaving in fa and drafted luck is like letting the 45 Jordan leave knowing you can get Lebron James in the draft.

Go through and read what you typed outloud and tell me if it makes sense
  3. At pick 34 Colts need to select Fleener if he's there. One it gives Luck familiarity and fills huge need. I realise that some reports have lately deemed Fleener to be over-rated, however think like this. Fleener is fast, he's a natural seam runner and a red zone threat. Fleener CAN"T Block. We already possess Eldrige who blocks very well. Fleeners qualities are exactly what we would want. Fleener is actually in a mold of Jimmy Graham/Gronk only faster.

The only way this doesn't happen I believe is if Jenkins (CB) is there as well and the Colts may believe that they could take Charles (TE) in the third. However if this scenario pans out that means we would give up chance to get NT in the third. I don't believe we could find a quality TE outside of round three. Yes that Moss kid is intriguing to me however more of a possible project at this point.

WR can wait until deep in draft. Just my opinion.

I also don't believe we will get everyone we need in one years draft, so you win what you can and lose some as well.

    Thoughts?

I think this subject has been hashed through enough
  4. Obviously with the expectation we are getting Luck #1,and this is assuming we get a good draft (Sanu in Rd. 2? Trumaine Johnson Rd.3? Bruce Irvin or Josh Chapman Rd.4?) and pick some pieces up in FA, maybe guys like Lardarius Webb, Jarrett Johnson, Ben Grubbs and/or Laurent Robinson to go along with Donald Brown and Delone Carter (who I think can make a respectable duo in the backfield), and guys already on D like Mathis, Bethea, Angerer and Hughes (who I'm holding out hope can prosper in the 3-4) I don't think a 7-9 record is out of the question. Of course thats assuming we can have a decent draft and can sign 1 or 2 of those FA's I listed.

If we don't do anything in FA and we don't draft anyone to help Luck on offense then I'm thinking more like 5-11 or 4-12....Luck needs someone besides Collie to throw to if not it's going to be another long year.

Ben Grubbs has been signed already
  5. I would say 3-13 realisticly and we will probably have the #1 pick again next year. This is where I will differ on next year's draft, if Matt Barkley is the best player in the draft next year, the Colts will not be able to trade the pick. No one will need to trade for the #1 pick because they will know that the Colts will not take Barkley.

Sammy wakins from Clemson if he comes out junior year

  6. Well look who else is out there when it comes to WR. The cream of the crop is gone in Jackson and Colston. While Wayne shouldn't get a 10 mil + a year contract he's atleast earned a decent amount for his age. Look who else is out there now in FA when it comes to WR and tell me one of them that are actually worth a good/great payday.

Yes. Miami gets a 3rd round this year and next year.

    Colston got signed alreadyhttp://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5i71U9zywRyhv2rYOlUIO_6iiZP1g?docId=fc763d78b0b542c6be3e6ce2f29c122f
