  1. Exactly. Which is why this thread is the perfect example of an obvious anti-Rogers agenda. Rogers has been much approved in his attitude, but when he shows some emotion - just one time, then he gets hammered.

Anti-Rogers? I've always given Rogers a chance, and I'm optimistic with him, go look at everything I've written about him.

You don't find it peculiar that he takes that dumb penalty with that much time in the game in that situation. It makes me question if he has changed that much. Sure, if he doesn't do drugs off the field or assaults anyone that's great, but on the field is where it matters at the end of the day.

  2. And who's to say Rogers can't improve "his act" too? The comparison was simply to illustrate that if you have the tools, which Rogers has (although he's not a superstar like Dez), then it's all right with some attitude to some extend - especially without people making overreactions threads like this one.

i already mentioned that I didn't write anything about more than a few big plays. I said he made more than a few nice plays (which is what you wrote). Read again. And he has made more nice plays. Watch the games.

Of course Rogers can improve his act, which he has done off the field. Dez was a starter (and a superstar his 2nd year) the second he played for the Cowboys. Again, Rogers is fighting for a spot on the roster and only has this so called "potential". A lot of players have the tools, it doesn't mean they can be great players.

A guy fighting for his job in the final preseason game in the final quarter down by 21 cannot do *ic plays like that and walk away from a talking from the coaches. It's a slap to the face of the team. It's more baffling then anything.

You haven't said what he has done well. You showed two very nice GIFs. You keep running away from my question.

  3. Who cares?! If he produces, which he has by scoring the only TD today, then it shouldn't matter. Dez Bryant acts like this a lot, and no one says anything. Rogers has shown plenty more than a "few nice plays", but keep doubting him. Big plays and scores with Luck against Cincy and KC, a TD with Hassebeck and even a TD with Harnish and that putrid o-line, who cant even buy Harnish enough time to make throws to Rogers. What more do you people want?

Rogers has the size, athleticism, speed, body control you want in a starting receiver. He hasn't been here for long, but he has already shown he's more than capable of being a playmaker in the NFL. Give him more time with Luck and he'll continue to show it.

My God, you did not just mention Dez Bryant in the same paragraph. Bryant is a proven superstar and has improved his act. Rogers is a guy fighting for a roster spot.

More than a "few plays", right... those 2 you got there are his two big ones. Can you name three more?

  4. Hakeem did something stupid too, calm down man. He punted a ball, big whoop. Huge overreaction Andy

It's so much what he did now, it's more of a fact that he's done this before. In the game against the Bengals, he showboated into the endzone and when Pagano spoke to him, he almost seemed non-responsive (NFL Films filmed it).

This guy does not get a lot of opportunities, but whenever I see him out there, he's either invisible or doing stuff like tonight.

If it were up to me, I'd send him packing, maybe try and get him on the PS.

  5. Before the Bengals game, I would have told you it was smart to keep 6 receivers (Rogers and Whalen). But after watching Rogers play and seeing him fight for his life in the 2nd half of the game with and against 3rd stringers, it's obvious that he's not worth a roster spot.

Ok, I know, there are a lot of diehard supporters of Rogers, who spout the word "potential" every chance they get. Maybe he has good potential, but with the exception of a few plays, this man has proved nothing and looks invisible most of the time. This is more fact than opinion.

At first, we were arguing Whalen vs Rogers. After seeing Pagano tell Whalen to take the night off early in the game, and tell Rogers to go play in the 2nd half, I think we have our answer.

Now, if Rogers were able to prove himself in the latter portion of the game, he would be worth the spot. He caught a touchdown pass! WOW, he saved his job... not so fast. In what was another act of stupidity, he kicked the ball into the stands only to get a 15 yard penalty. He kicked the ball, he punted it... We're not done.

As the Bengals sideline and the announcers were doing their Ice Bucket challenge, I went to Twitter to see some news and saw on the broadcast that Rogers had walked away from the coaches who were attempting to talk to him. They tried talking to him but he didn't listen. I remember an incident against the Bengals last year, where after scoring an impressive touchdown, he showboated into the endzone and Pagano gave him a talking to. I won't forget it, Rogers was unresponsive and attempted to walk away. This is the type of guy he is.

So, the kid has made a few nice plays, but when it comes down to the final spot on the roster, give it to a hard working special teamer rather than a guy like Rogers.

Now, I understand I may get yelled at by some Rogers fans, so go ahead fans.

  6. Glad I'm not the only one.  I suppose we just pause the draft and figure out a new time for labor day weekend.

I tries to pause..tried different browsers..still nothing...will keep trying until past 5:30..keep trying until then please

What will happen is that it will autodraft every player because no one showed up and then I'll reset the draft and change the time for next week.

  7. How about moving it back an hour since Juanjo is six hours ahead and if you kept it at 6:15 p.m. ET instead, his draft would start just past midnight. The way it is right now at 7:45 p.m ET, his draft won't start till 1:45 a.m Monday morning for him.

I know it would be trying to accommodate just one individual but if we are re-scheduling to a time other than 7:15 p.m. ET, why not an hour earlier at 6:15 p.m. ET? Just thinking out loud.

Very smart. I moved the draft time to 6:00pm. People should be at home and it's before dinner (at least for me :P).

  8. I think you should consider Wednesday evening as well if you can. It is Labor Day weekend i.e. next weekend, hence the suggestion of a week day.

How many here are available on Wednesday evening? Just curious.

Well, I got the time. If people want to change or they can't do it, I'll change it. But right now, with the site as it is, I'm not touching anything.

  9. Alright, I don't usually pat myself on the back often around here, but I gotta say I'm smart for coming up with backup plans.

Here's the first backup plan: We pick a time next weekend.

2nd backup plan: If I cannot find a time that works or it's still screwed up. We'll do the fantasy draft over the next week and a half on the forum. Players will be given a few hours and then I'll enter the picks in.

  10. I hear you if you can try for tonight because I might not be available next Sunday and secondly the draft was going to at least be an hour tonight so everyone should still be available

The earliest that can be done is at 10:00pm and that's irrelevant because I can't book any time because the same error keeps popping up. Tried to book a time on Friday at 3 in the morning and still the same problem.

I'm doing all I can now.

For all those who asked in this past, this is why I do this at this time. It's after the 3rd preseason game and we still have time before the season.
