  1. After looking at the play over and over, the play was a designed throw to the inside (Goodson turns inside for the ball), Minshew threw it to the outside, and Goodson's feet got crossed up once he realized the ball was accidentally thrown to the outside. But, you will also notice that a defender who was being blocked on that side threw his arms up and Minshew had to throw the tight ball without getting it batted, so there's that little item too, which could have altered Minshew's decision to throw it inside.
  2. This ended brutally from a coaching perspective. Let's take our star out of the game and put the season in the hands of a practice squad player.
  3. All they had to do was listen to Pittman himself who didn't remember getting hit, red flag that neuro-team was going to yank him
  4. If we add a Todman, we'd have Goodson-Todman Productions.
  5. wow, very similar. I was trying to break loose a very tight bolt on a caliper bracket lying on my side under my car and I felt something give way in my chest and heard a "POP" , it was the pectoral. It was brutal for a while. Didn't go away for about 2 months. No upper-body weight-lifting is possible for that duration.
  6. Ballard's body language is all you need to know. He's jumpy, squirmy, and can go right into a defensive stance if needed. His feet are going a mile-a-minute. The Colts Podcast isn't going to make him terribly uneasy, but the local media still will. He knows what we know, which is good, he's not trying to look at this through rose-colored glasses. I just wish he would relax, but a prerequisite to that is getting a few breaks here and there, which hasn't happened lately. He's very stubborn in his ways, but there are so many good things to like about this man, I hope the fortunes of the Colts take a major upswing by the end of 2024.
  7. RIP Bobby... With Knight, you never had to worry about getting upset by the teams you were supposed to beat. Out-coached everyone. Gene Keady had the best record against him if memory serves.
  8. now that they've admitted they potentially screwed us out of the playoffs, we can breathe easy.
  9. nope, it's an RB1 decision, can't have RB1.a & RB1.b
  10. I think he will transition from what they thought he could be (Steichen & Co.) to what he will be forced to become, which is more pocket passer with a nice cannon of an arm. This will take longer (if he can transform his game) but the notion of designed QB runs will go to the wayside. Don't get me wrong, he will scramble out of trouble when he needs to and will have the green-light to do so, but will also go down to the ground & out-of-bounds way more now that he is an injury waiting to happen. Perhaps they consider all of these injuries just a fluke and won't change a thing? No chance of that. Watching how Lawrence has matured in his ability to slide when necessary, avoid the big hits using out-of-bounds as his friend, and continue to run like a deer....Oh what could have been.
  11. where did you hear that he hurt his right shoulder before this?
  12. 1) Train the players (AR) to have their head on a swivel, if there is impending doom, get out of bounds NOW, live to run another play and this time hand the ball off to a running back at the 1 yard line for what is probably a sure TD within 3 plays. Swallow your pride. 2) Develop something for field-rebound-helmet-bounce-back positioned on the rear of the helmet (for lack of a better description). Let's gel-pad the "FRHBB" 3) Do away with old style field-turf (slit film turf) and start forcing stadiums to deploy much safer fields for "FRHBB" (I fully realize that below refers to injuries not necessarily pertaining to head injuries) 4) Indy is one of six stadiums with the old dangerous stuff. Slit film turf is currently used in six stadiums: MetLife Stadium (New York Giants and New York Jets), Ford Field (Detroit Lions), U.S. Bank Stadium (Minnesota Vikings), Caesars Superdome (New Orleans Saints), Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis Colts) and Paycor Stadium (Cincinnati Bengals). In his letter, NFLPA president JC Tretter noted that games played on slit film turf have higher in-game injury rates compared to other playing surfaces. Non-contact injuries and foot and ankle injuries are among the injuries that statistically occur more on slit film turf, according to Tretter. "The NFL and its experts have agreed with this data and acknowledge that the slit film field is less safe," Tretter wrote. "Player leadership wrote a letter to the NFL this week demanding the immediate removal of these fields and a ban on them going forward, both in stadiums and for practice fields. The NFL has not only refused to mandate this change immediately, but they have also refused to commit to mandating a change away from slit film in the future at all."
  13. so cool !!! I get first dibs if you feel the Covid-Fog coming over you and don't have the energy to sustain that collection!
  14. That's for taking a stab at it
  15. I thought OTA's were today, is he taking a helicopter to Louisville?
  16. The Titans are trying to clear cap-room as we speak. Source: Titan Upload Network (per their reliable sources). They (Titans mgt.) are talking to Derrick Henry and Ryan Tannehill to extend their contracts to free up room to make an offer to DeAndre Hopkins. Would he be interested in the Titans? Hard to say.
