I feel pretty good in saying that AR will be 100% healthy coming into next year. His whole body should feel like a million dollars. Now he also has a little experience too in the NFL with the 4 games he played in which is bigger than a lot think. I am seeing him having a good year in 2024.

And let’s not forget the new turf field so should some

-Jalen Ramsey-Traded to the Rams for 2 1st

-Stephon Diggs- Traded to Bills at end of rookie deal

    -Deforest Buckner- Self explanatory

-AJ Brown-Traded for a 1st at end of rookie deal

-Chandler Jones- Traded at end of rookie deal

-Khalil Mack- traded in season before end of rookie deal

All of those names are guys who play premium positions (well maybe not Buckner because he’s a DT but he’s a great rusher) and are All-pro/ Pro-Bowl players that didn’t see second contracts with their original teams. Obviously you can say some of those moves were terrible decisions, but that’s not the point I’m making. Elite players are either traded or allowed to hit FA every year.

All them guys didn’t really have major injuries concerns like nerve damage from back surgeries.

I see for 2024 on https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/indianapolis-colts  changing to "post Jun 1 cut"

lowers the dead money from $8 million to $4 million

and the cap savings goes from 12 million to 16 million

Damn that’s even better we can give him the chance to show something in mini camp/training camp and if he still looking like he isn’t looking like (Darius) Leonard might be time to part ways. Unfortunately it’s a business and I tend to always side with the team and what’s best for the team. Since players come and go but the shoe is the shoe

We may not even have this thread if Shaq was playing MLB like it was going to be, before injuries. Franklin is playing good enough.

Some seem to forget Shaq especially showing up in the 4th quarter when needed the most. Yea I believe he needs to get out of his own head at times. I think it is a system thing, when it comes to Shaq.

Naw I’m looking at him and he doesn’t want to hit and he playing to not get hurt rather than down hill and trying to hit someone

After this season there are three more with $20M cap hits.  Criminally stupid contract to pay an ILB like they did.

Boy's gonna have his feet up for a long time to come.

We can get out the contract next season it’s only like 8m cap hit but do Ballard have the stones to cut him

He showed up in the 4th ? I must have missed it

I don’t think it was conclusive that he tipped the pass unless additional video showed it outside of what’s already been posted. Also assuming you mean the INT by Blackmon.

Leonard doesn’t look good at all , not good fit for our system trade him to bears this offseason

Now I’m gonna start by saying I’ve been saying he needs traded after two straight down years,  but check this out.

    Ryan Kelly- Grades/ stats

    86.0 overall- highest graded center

82.4 pass block- Highest amongst all lineman in the league

    1 pressure allowed

    0 sacks allowed

I still don’t like the contract but man I’m glad he’s back to form and if his play continues at this level, obviously don’t need to upgrade that anymore

I was in the same boat

I'm n expert, but considering he's injured this same AC joint previously, I'd be surprised if they didn't recommend surgery. Conservative treatment is for people who aren't professional athletes and whose careers don't depend on having a 100-percent functional, healthy AC joint.

He might as well get the surgery , I hope they looking at long term and not being short sighted

I said this in another thread yesterday already, but Sparano Jr has these dudes playing tough !

Kelly coming back had much more of an impact than I thought it would.

I was also super worried about LT when Raimann went down, but Freeland walked in and didn't miss a beat. You didn't hear about him, and that's the best compliment you can give him.

I think the drafted freehand to be the swing but ultimately replace Braden

Good night, people wide open etc we really need some corners who can play tight man etc..  Stafford just obliterated our secondary

I don’t ever understand what Gus plans are. Like how do you let someone best player best you all game. Like we have to start making teams beat us left handed. Like I know going in that game Puka and higbee are top priority on any crucial down or play. And I don’t understand why we get big physical corners but let everyone have free releases

Secondary won't be be issue this week.  TN does not throw much.  I think this is going to be Henry and Spears.   That little new RB looks awfully good.  He has more YPC than Bijan and Gibbs and is doing it quietly behind the King.

It’s gonna be the bootleg that always kill us

The main issue is that this is not a SB contender ready to take that next step that you can afford to win games at a high level with Peyton and could wait on Bob Sanders to show up and rescue the day in the playoffs. This is a young team with pieces still needed to be a SB contender that may not have the luxury of Shaq Leonard's contract holding them back. A playoff team may sign him, but not at his current price.

His contract says: POTENTIAL OUT: 2024, 3 YR, $46,760,000; $8,000,000 DEAD CAP

I think that is where things are heading, Leonard not being back in 2024.

Yea it was sad to see him not want to make contact when he could have legally blew that player up and tried to push him with 2 hands

It’s hard watching him play lately. He’s out of position on most plays. He’s thinking too much and not just playing.

And he not trying to make contact and hit hard…. Sad to see he is hurting team bad. playing scared

I addressed that in my previous post.   Pryor was terrible.   That accelerated the Colts plan.   But there WAS a plan.   The Colts talked about it.  So did this community here on Colts.com

Remember, the Colts thought Pryor would be decent.  He graded out with his best season by far in ‘21.   They gave him a good contract in ‘22.   But even with the expectation that Pryor would be acceptable the Colts also planned to bring Raimann along at the same time during the season.

Roughly 12-15 snaps the first two weeks.  Then about 15-18 the next two weeks.   I think Raimann missed a game or two with injury/illness and then the Colts were starting Raimann as Pryor was beyond terrible.   And so was Raimann when he was first starting.  I think Raimann gave up 3 sacks and had a lot of penalties vs New England.   But a few weeks later, he got surprisingly better.  The rest is history.  But there WAS a plan.

Thursday night against broncos on that short week 7-9 penalties which I thought was excessive by refs

I'm sure you all know exactly which call I'm talking about.

A few plays before that I swear a saw a Ravens OLman with a fistful of jersey between the 2 nines on Buckner's jersey.  Flag? Nope.  I'm pretty sure that play resulted in a first down.

That was a touchdown for Lamar running they was holding clearly. But it’s about time some go our way. But to be fair the refs was letting them play all game

25 catches on 34 targets for 230 yards through three games.  He’s on pace for 142 catches and 1303 yards. Not bad for a guy some don’t consider a number one WR.  Extend the man.

That’s how you get and extension show up to work and perform. Sometimes the back up comes in and looks really good and you might say forget paying the starter and go by committee. But boy would it be nice to have AR and Tay as the running threats

Dry accurate with short passes.  You can win like that but it’s tough when they crowd the line.

Question - should Pierce have caught that Lon ball that hit his hands?  I know it was knocked away, but I feel he should have brought it in.  MPJ would have.

Dude I was telling my wife if that was Pierce on that big play to Pittman he would have dropped it. He just doesn’t catch the ball strong like he want it. Any time it’s contact he drops the ball.

For all those folks that made fun of the front office for signing him to such a “large” contract……

    How you like him now?

    Is he a “weapon”?

Four 50+ kicks in one game including the game winner.

Special Teams can win or lose games and his leg just won this one.

Time for some of y’all to eat some crow….

Dude kicking is a major part of the game I was so happy because all the kicking issues over the years since Vinny last couple years was killers. But we missing bubba on ST for sure
