  1. I don't know but sure hope we strike QB gold again with AR. Interested to see what his true strengths and weaknesses will turn out to be. Will be a fun thread to check back into a few years from now for sure
  2. Andrew Luck immediately made the Colts go from worst to winners. But they never truly had the early picks to become a solid football team over time. I made a post years ago that mediocracy breeds mediocracy. Never the worst team but never gain ground on being true contenders. Always picking mid pack and it just manifested over time. Another losing season will be tough to endure or wish for but in the long term it would benefit.
  3. Parris Campbell was the same type young man. Became a huge fan of his. Anthony is quickly filling that role! So refreshing
  4. That was awesome! Big guys know their food! Just so you know-Ravens/Maryland - I'd went with the more traditional crab cake or crab dip than snowcrab legs from up north but still awesome nonetheless!
  5. Absolutely! I wasn't sold on any of the QB's leading up to the draft. So many write up's about each having their own strengths and flaws. After hearing AR talk and just the humble yet confident young man he is, and the potential he is gifted with, I'm super excited they drafted him. Want to believe its true and lightning strikes again for us at QB!! Hopefully the hiring of Sporano will fix the Oline/ RG situation. Losing Gilmore is a concern with young CB's. And LB hinges on Shaq being healthy.
  6. Until see what we really have, QB concerns me foremost
  7. I don't know the Colts D kept us in games even with that putrid offense. Getting Shaq and JT back healthy, hearing good reviews about Sporano from Nelson. Woods is a monster just waiting to happen. Playing a weak schedule strength. If AR's "floor" is higher than most QB's ceiling like Morocco Brown stated..anything might happen
  8. Jones wearing 7 would have been pretty cool!
  9. TE Jelani Woods breaks Eric Ebroms 13 TD year in 2018. Hes going to go off this year!
  10. Only time will tell if this was the right pick. There was so much coverage on the top 4 QB's, all the flaws and potentials. The pick has been made and it's time to support our QB. Listening to AR talk, can't help but notice the humble yet confident demeanor. Let's GO!!
  11. I voted none and none. Each has their own flaws to be a top 4 pick. Ballard has shown he doesn't care who we think the Colts should pick and that won't change. Heard the Colts have 17 players on their board considered 1st round talent. Probably wrong but don't believe any of those are QB's.
  12. Who will be BPA at #4? Its true the Colts need a young QB to build around. Top 5 picks hopefully arent an every year occurrence. QB, LT, Edge, WR and CB are regarded as the most important positions these days. A top 5 "elite" pick on a rookie contract at any one of those positions isnt an every year occurrence either.
  13. Read yesterday career earnings - Josh Allen $85M Lamar Jackson $33M. Are in same draft class. Last 2 years since eligible for new deals - Josh Allen $67M Lamar Jackson $25M. Pretty big difference
  14. You fail to mention the Colts were down to what, 4th string DB's in second half of that game? Lamar can't hold up running the ball as much as he used to. Also take away the middle of the field, where he burned us, and he is exposed. Pass
  15. Your comment "even if Levis or AR stink the Colts would get another top 5 pick next year and still have their first round pick next year" is right. None of these 4 QB's are a sure thing. All have potential to be good/great and also not. Giving up what Carolina did is foolish.
  16. It's anybody's guess, they're all different with strengths and weaknesses. Glad I'm not Ballard trying to figure it out.
  17. And Stroud has a calmness about him you just can't teach
  18. Ballard has caught a lot of criticism during his tenure. Some warranted, some not. In his defense it is his first GM job. I read an article on Howie Roseman of the Eagles. He's been hated, loved, hated again and now loved again by Eagles fans. Made mistakes along the way but maybe finally got it right? I'm hoping history will be the same for Ballard. We saw a man who was humbled during his press conference and moving forward maybe we will see a better Chris Ballard 2.0.
  19. Draft a QB with a top 5 pick just to draft a QB. For what? Every single 1 of them have question marks.
  20. Ballard doesn't strike me as someone to panic if Stroud stays at OSU another year. That notion is more of a fan thing. If he was going to get fired, Irsay would have done it this year. This reload or rebuild is going to take more than one offseason. In my mind, if the QB they have targeted is there, they pick him. They're not going to reach for one they aren't sold on tho. Take BPA or trade back multiple times if needed, take one of the project QB's. Start Sam next year and who knows with multiple # 1's might get Marv jr. and a perennial QB.
  21. 46 years as a Colts fan, and 1 Super Bowl win to show for. What a love/hate relationship its been and now feels like we are just sinking back into the abyss. Gotta love it..

  22. Curious if any Indy native member here was a Colts fan before the move?
  23. Born in '69 so anybody that understands the Colts understands I don't like the NY Jets. Voted 1976-80, guessing was old enough by then to remember Bert Jones, Lydell Mitchell and Roger Carr. When they moved from Bmore I tried to find another team but the Colts had my heart so No, not a fan of any other team. Seen them play at Memorial Stadium in Bmore, LOS, @ Ravens and @ Washington. Born in southern Maryland..still live in southern MD
