  1. Thanks for sharing your sentiment, folks!   Just for the record, the event and ESPY Awards show is happening at the Microsoft Theatre, formerly Nokia Theatre, in Hollywood, CA., a short distance down Sunset Blvd. from the Staples Center, the L.A. Live Entertainment area, and the ESPN West Coast Studios.

Also, while ESPN, The Worldwide Leader In Sports, stands forthe  Entertainment (And) Sports Programming Network,  The ESPY Awards is the acronym  for Excellence In Sports Performance Yearly Awards.

  2. Hi, Colts fans!   I just saw the promo that former Colts QB legend, and likely forthcoming PFHOF inductee Peyton Manning is to host the upcoming ESPY Awards next Wednesday.  I don't know if he will be the sole primary presenter during the show, but I am sure in an award program and event like the ESPY Awards, there will be a rotation of various presenters handing out awards to the winners during the ESPY Awards.  I look forward to watching Peyton on stage, probably even wearing a tuxedo.  If any of you remember Peyton in the past hosted NBC's Saturday Night Live while he was a Colt.

  3. Shazam!  I marked my calendar!   Cleveland Browns as a team are indeed going to visit Indianapolis to play our Colts during Week 3 of the upcoming 2017 NFL season at Lucas Oil Stadium (the building) on September 24!    I wonder if there will be reacquintences between Grigson, Jim Irsay, Chuck Pagano and the players and personnel?  Probably look awkward  if that happens in Pre Game.

  4. Hi, Colts Nation!  :)  The NFL's enduring 2016 season finally concludes tonight, when the New England Patriots play the Atlanta Falcons to see who will also earn and win the Vince Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl LI being played at the NRG (Energy) Stadium, in Houston, Texas.

Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, and Erin Andrews are announcing the game worldwide for The NFL On FOX, including locally in Indianapolis, on WXIN FOX Channel 59, live on HD.

No injuries, but I want to see the Falcons Rise Up, and win their first Super Bowl for Atlanta!

  5. Our Colts concluded the 2016 NFL season, defeating the Jaguars 24-20, and again as in 2015, finished with 8 wins and 8 losses.  A bright sign that tour Colts concluded their 2016 schedule, and began New Year's Day 2017, with a win over the Jaguars.

Now the long offseason begins since the Colts were eliminated since their road loss at Oakland last Sunday.   Andrew Luck was healthy most of the season, but the Colts were still short of making the postseason.

Colts management will evaluate the past season, and make the inevitable changes, such as which players re-sign and retain, and those who will be waived or released as free agents.  Also if the Colts are going to retain General Manager Ryan Grigson, the scouting staff, and Head Coach Chuck Pagano and his coaching staff.

Not only will the Colts sign veteran free agants beginning in March, when the NFL calendar year begins, but before March, the Colts management will be at LOS (the building) after the Super Bowl 51, where college players are invited for the upcoming NFL Combine.

Player interviews prior, and into the 2017 NFL Draft, then the Organized Team Activities (OTA's)  in May and June before the Colts 90-man roster reorts to training camp in the summer.

Colts 2016 campaign and being eliminated from the NFL Playoffs  is just a temporary setback for now..  But I am sure the Colts braintrust will staff the talented team before opening week in September that will represent our city, and compete with the 2017 Indianapolis Colts.

My pleasure preparing the Colts Game Day Threads, and my sincere appreciation and gratefulness again for Nadine and the rest of the moderating team allowing me to start these threads.

I also like to thank the rest of the registered  members here on the Official Colts Fan Forum Message Board here on http://www.colts.com/  along with myself, for participating and posting your threads and narrating the action throughout the course of each game.

Colts also have a new rival to reckon with,  in the Houston Texans, who are on a three-game winning streak over them.  Not only have they achieved their first road win at Indianapolis in their team history back in 2015, but the Texans  also swept the Colts for the first time in 2016.  and both last and this season won back-to-back AFC South Division Titles.  Colts should find a way to staff a Colts team to  win more games and both reclaim the AFC South, and dethrone the Texans in 2017.

Thanks for participating, let's do it again in the upcoming 2017 NFL season.  Stay Colts Strong throughout the offseason, and as always GO COLTS!!!!!   :)  :coltslogo:  :1colts:  :colts:    :coltshelmet:  :coltshorse:  :coltslogo:

  6. Happy New Year,  Colts Nation!  :)     But not entirely happy to  Colts fans  everywhere, as our 2016 Indianapolis Colts are unfoturnately out of the hunt to reach the NFL Playoffs in 2016, since their loss at the Oakland Raiders on December 24.   Colts will try to defeat the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars, with interim coach Doug Marrone at LOS.   A  Colts victory would also equal their   2015 regular season  win total at 8-8  again in 2016.

Colts in the past won the AFC South Divison titles with identical 11-5 records in three consecutive seasons, but could not crack beyond 11 wins since the 2009 Colts team won 14 games.

This afternoon will also be outside linebacker Robert Mathis's  last game as an Indianapolis Colt, announced this past week his retirement as an active player in the NFL.  Mathis was drafted from Alabama A&M in 2003.  Among many of his achievements  was earning an NFL championship ring with the  Colts team that won Super Bowl XLI,  and both earning and awarded the AFC Defensive Player Of The Year after the 2013 NFL season, and setting the team record with his 128 career sacks.  Mathis is a popular player to Colts fans and and I felt he earned, and certainly deserves  his name in the Colts Ring Of Honor, and perhaps the NFL Pro Football Hall Of Fame, for both his service and achievements.  Well done. Robert!

LOS's roof is closed for the 1:05P.M. Eastern Standard Time finale, because sunny skies at 40 degrees, feels like 36 degrees, is the game forecast outside the stadium area in Downtown Indianapolis, along with 0% precipitation, 65% humidity, and  mild southeastern winds at 6 miles per hour.

NO injuries, a pleasure posting the Game Day Threads for the 2016 Indianapolis Colts Preseason Schedule, Happy New Year to the Colts Nation as we all enter 2017, win one more game to even your 2016 NFL regular season record again at 8-8, and  for one more game, GO COLTS!!!!!   :coltslogo:     :cheer:     :1colts:    :colts::coltshelmet:   :cheer:  :coltslogo:

  8. Hi, Colts fans!  :) Our 7-7 Indianapolis Colts are still in the hunt for at least an AFC Wild Card Playoff Spot,  as they are in Oakland, California, to play the 11-3 and AFC West Division leading Oakland Raiders, in the Colts first visit to Oakland in nearly six years.

Interesting game in a showcase of young NFL quarterbacks attempting to thwart their opposing teams defenses, featuring the Colts own Andrew Luck playing opposite the Raider's Andrew Carr.

Indianapolis have an opportunity on Saturday afternoon to even the all-time series with Oakland with beach team at eight games apiece, in today's 16th meeting.  Peyton Manning threw the game-clincher with his 7-yard touchdown pass to WR Pierre Garcon, with 7:38 remaining in the fourth quarter, to help the Colts defeat the Raiders 31-19, back on December 26, 2010.

Colts have not lost a regular season road game at Oakland in more than 21 years.  Raiders last home over the Colts was a 30-17 at the Oakland-Alameda Coliseum back on October 22, 1995. Peyton Manning was still a QB at the University Of Tennessee in Knoxville that year.

Raiders still may clinch the AFC West division title on whoever wins the Houston, Kansas City, and/or Pittsburgh win their games this weekend, and at the same time eliminate the Colts this weekend from playoff contention.

Jim Nantz and former New York Giants and Moorehead State QB Phil Simms, along with sideline reporter and interviewer Tracy Wolfson, are announcing the live TV game commentary for The NFL On CBS's primary late doubleheader game, seen live on HD in most of the USA, including locally in Indianapolis on WTTV CBS Channel 4.

Sunny skies at  51 degrees, feels like 47 degrees is the game forecast inside the Oakland-Alameda Coliseum, for the 4:05PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff, along with 0% precipitation, 58% humidity, and  northwest winds at 13 miles per hour.

My Christmas wish is for the Colts to stay alive for another week, and with help and luck ( the definition of good fortune, not Andrew Luck), Indianapolis survives these last to weeks and through chance earn a playoff spot.

NO injuries. let's see our Colts go for their eight win in 2016, defeat the Raider in their Black Hole,  and GO COLTS!!!!!     :):coltslogo:   :1colts:    :colts:  :coltshelmet:   :coltslogo:

  9. Hi, Colts fans!   :)   A battle of NFL teams alive in the playoff hunt for the postseason, as our Indianapolis Colts are in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area to play the Minnesota Vikings. Colts are playing their first road game in Minnesota for the first time in eight years, and a win by the Colts over the Vikings  on Sunday afternoon,  would both even their season record to 7-7, and also stay in the hunt for at least an AFC Wild Card Playoff spot, in both teams 25th all-time meeting.

Indianapolis is  coming from an embarrassing game  they and their fans rather forget  Sunday, as the Houston Texans made a season sweep over the Colts for the first time in their history,  winning 22-17 at LOS (the building) last Sunday.

However, into Sunday's game, the Colts have an advantage over the Vikings in their history between the teams,  Indianapolis is on a current four-game regular season winning streak over Minnesota.  Vikings last defeated the Colts during the regular season 19 years ago,  with their 39-28 win over the Colts, and played at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome back on December 21, 1997.

Indianapolis leads the all-time series entering this afternoon with 16 wins and 7 losses, including one postseason game (Colts 24-14 win back in 1968).    Adam Vinatieri kicked the game-winning field goals for the Colts in the last two meetings. AV kicked his 53-yard FG at Indianapolis with eight seconds left in the fourth quarter to help the Colts win 23-20 on September 16, 2012.

Vinatieri also kicked the game-winning 47-yard field goal  with three seconds remaining to help the Colts defeat the Vikings by the score of 18-15in their recent road visit, and last road game at the Metrodome, back on September 14, 2008.

Also fortunately for this game both the Colts, and Vikings, are also playing inside the the dry comforts, of the  new $1.13 billion  dollar U.S. Bank Stadium in Downtown Minneapolis, at the same site and footprint where the Metrodome stood.  By the 1:05PM Eastern Standard Time gametime, the weather forecast outside the U.S. Bank Stadium is  sunny skies at  minus -14 degrees, feels like minus -30 degrees, along with 5% precipitation, 64% humidity, and southwest winds at 6 miles per hour.

NO injuries, stay Colts Strong for your seventh win, and LET'S GO COLTS!!!!!    :coltslogo:   :1colts:  :colts:  :coltshelmet::coltslogo:

  10. Hi, Colts fans!  :)    A battle first place supremecy as the Houston Texans are in Downtown Indianapolis for the rematch with the Colts at LOS.  Texans won the earlier meeting by the score of 26-23, and played at NRG Stadium back on October  16.

Though at the moment both the Colts and Texans are tied at 6-6 in the AFC South Stadings, the Texans both defeated the Colts in the earlier meeting by the score of 26-23 at NRG Stadium in Houston back on October 16, and also has a 3-0 record over divisional opponents. Colts in contrast has a 2-2 record over AFC South opponents.   Colts must defeat the Texans outright today, to be up in the AFC South standings by one game to themselves, and even the series with Houston.

Although the Colts lead the all-time regular season series over the Texans with a 23 win and 6 loss record dating back to their first meeting in 2002, Indianapolis has lost the last two regular season games over Houston, and has not defeated the Texans at LOS, since the Colts 17-10 victory back on December 14, 2014.

Kevin Harlan and former Delaware Mud Hen, Raiders, and NFL QB Rich Gannon, are announcing the live TV game commentary for the NFL On CBS's early regional single header game, seen regionally, and locally on WTTV CBS Channel 4, live on HD.

Lucas Oil Stadium's (the building) roof is closed for this afternoon's 1:05PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff, because outside the stadium area in Downtown Indianapolis, cloudy skies and a wintery mix of ice and snow at 32 degrees, feels like 24 degrees is the game forecast, along with 70% precipitation, 75% humidity, and southern winds at 10 miles per hour.

NO injuries, win your seventh game this season over the Texans at LOS, stay Colts Strong, and GO COLTS!!!!!  :coltslogo:     :cheer:   :1colts:   :colts:  :coltshelmet:  :cheer:  :coltslogo:

  11. It's official!  Colts win a blowout much better than I expected on Monday Night Football tonight 41-10! No guarantees each and every game, but wish convincing games with big leads become more often, and such blowout games can be more fun for the Colts players and their fans. I think the Colts made a statement to  themselves with a healthy Andrew Luck back on the field tonight and this week.
