  1. I don't know how many roundabouts there are in Carmel, but I think I went through at least 20 of them today . . . which brought back memories of how hard it was for me to enter jump roping without tripping or being whacked in the head.

      Corn-y, a-maze-ing, radish-cal in a round-about way!

  2. Stopped to buy gas today. My vehicle said it was 8 degrees outside. There was a young man putting gas in his car. He was wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and flip flops. Is that supposed to be macho? Cause it just seems rather dumb to me.

BrentMc11, Jay Kirk, CM51, Gramz, & all INDY natives that I have come in contact with on this site. :) I feel like an honorary brother blessed by such good, wholesome, funny, & down to earth people. 6. Getting a Colt's poster in the mail was a ray of sunshine in an otherwise cold, miserable week. My thanks to Nadine and the Colts for everything they do to show the fans how much they care about them. Even, the postage to mail all these posters has to be expensive as it cost $2.12 just to mail one to me. Thanks again and GO COLTS!

True, I do not know you personally, but the way you conduct yourself on here I can tell that you are a very understanding & laid back person. I appreciate the hug too. :D

Some good old fashioned ingenuity was definitely used there. 1 Question or an observation: That inventor had both a paved, level, & short drive way. What if a person lived at the end of a long, steep, gravel based driveway surrounded by tall trees & thick brush that might interfere with that remote controller successful operational capacity? A remote rural setting as opposed to a urban suburban community etc. etc.

    3. southwest1

      southwest1

I am not criticizing your friends incredible device shecolt. I am just merely pointing out that the device in question is not ideal or tailor made for every driveway or house location dwelling in a 1 size fits all winter blowing capacity that's all. Still a cool gizmo though. :)

How I wish they'd stopped it one week earlier.

I've always found it uncomfortable - even on Tday. The short week leads to irrational results and is damaging to teams. I've always thought that it should ONLY involve two teams coming off a bye week.

I love the prime time games, but to me a "Saturday Night football" would make a LOT more sense. Heck, if you time it off the bye weeks you can have Friday night football too. :)

Well just relax as you probably need to get your mind off football for even just one day. Love Sunday nights though!

  9. A nail and a screw were hitchhiking along the road. My vehicle decided to give both of them a lift. Thankfully, neither the nail nor the screw was greedy and showed their gratitude by both jumping into the same tire.

It doesnt afect me much as all I do is drive to Drs , all quite close, & to moms assted living , also not to far,

EVEN the ER i haave to go to to often to meet mom is only 4-5 miles away

when i return a leased care they know they get a bargain as hardly any miles on it, but do know it greatly affects others

On the rare occasion I go out with friemnds, they know not to let me drive in my medical condition

Tell me about it! It's costing me a ton just to drive the 2 grandsons to football practice 4 trips a day. Now I get to pay for the gas to go to the games starting pretty soon. I think the farthest is like 60 miles one way.

He has been on the NFLN. I didn't catch much of last night's game, but saw him in several commercials also. However, he leaves his magnifying glass at home when he does the commercials.

  19. A month ago, I didn't even know there was such a thing as a derecho. Now, the radio tells me that we have a 30% of being hit by another one this afternoon. I long to go back to the good old days when I was so blissfully unaware of this cruel trick by mother nature.

  22. I'm sitting in the bank today, looking out the window, when I notice a man approaching with a shot gun. Almost wet my capris as I warned the employees. Turned out this guy was transferring his hunting gear from one vehicle to another. Why he chose to park in front of a bank to make this transfer is beyond me.

After the scare wore off, I found it funny also. This was in a small town where things are much more laid back. And, of course, I was the only customer in the bank at the time. As my friends often say, stuff like this could only happen to me.

    4. MAC

      MAC

Sorry shecolt. If it was me, I wouldn't buy a used piece of electronics unless I could try it out first. VCRs don't last forever in the best of circumstances (the head being off a little bit could result in it not working properly for you even if it worked for the previous owner. You can buy new combo vcr/dvd players for reasonable amounts of money, and after getting our modest sized flat screen I wouldn't go back to the old style if you paid me.
