I don't know how many roundabouts there are in Carmel, but I think I went through at least 20 of them today . . . which brought back memories of how hard it was for me to enter jump roping without tripping or being whacked in the head.

Stopped to buy gas today. My vehicle said it was 8 degrees outside. There was a young man putting gas in his car. He was wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and flip flops. Is that supposed to be macho? Cause it just seems rather dumb to me.

The Fort is #10 of the top 20 coldest large cities in the U.S. which makes me feel more justified for my years of moaning, whining, and complaining. http://www.weather.com/news/weather-winter/20-coldest-large-cities-america-20140107?pageno=11

Baby, it's cold outside!

Great game, IU! GO HOOSIERS!

I like your Hoosiers basketball team a great deal shecolt! Besides, Indianapolis people are so nice. BrentMc11, Jay Kirk, CM51, Gramz, & all INDY natives that I have come in contact with on this site. I feel like an honorary brother blessed by such good, wholesome, funny, & down to earth people. Thanks for allowing a fellow WI Badger into your inner circle.

Getting a Colt's poster in the mail was a ray of sunshine in an otherwise cold, miserable week. My thanks to Nadine and the Colts for everything they do to show the fans how much they care about them. Even, the postage to mail all these posters has to be expensive as it cost $2.12 just to mail one to me. Thanks again and GO COLTS!

Thanks shecolt. I just really like to see friends of mine get rewarded for all their hard work. Plus, you are a very kind person & I'm happy to see that selfless generosity get noticed. True, I do not know you personally, but the way you conduct yourself on here I can tell that you are a very understanding & laid back person. I appreciate the hug too.

A friend of mine made the news with his robot snowblower. http://ph.omg.yahoo.com/video/robot-snowblower-makes-blizzards-breeze-002824953.html

Some good old fashioned ingenuity was definitely used there. 1 Question or an observation: That inventor had both a paved, level, & short drive way. What if a person lived at the end of a long, steep, gravel based driveway surrounded by tall trees & thick brush that might interfere with that remote controller successful operational capacity? A remote rural setting as opposed to a urban suburban community etc. etc.

A Thursday night without football is rather blah.

How I wish they'd stopped it one week earlier.
I've always found it uncomfortable - even on Tday. The short week leads to irrational results and is damaging to teams. I've always thought that it should ONLY involve two teams coming off a bye week.
I love the prime time games, but to me a "Saturday Night football" would make a LOT more sense. Heck, if you time it off the bye weeks you can have Friday night football too.

A nail and a screw were hitchhiking along the road. My vehicle decided to give both of them a lift. Thankfully, neither the nail nor the screw was greedy and showed their gratitude by both jumping into the same tire.

I splurged today and bought one of those Colt's glasses at Arbys. Now, I'm trying to decide if I want to put some royal blue food coloring into the milk I just poured into my glass.

I wanted to treat myself to a roll of the Colt's duct tape that I saw today. But, I couldn't justify spending $6.69 for 10 yards of tape. So, I settled for a 30 cent box of crayons. Now, does anyone know where I can get a Colt's coloring book?

I woke up to the dude on the radio talking about the possiblity of a derecho today. Please, NO! I had enough of that last year.

I do not like having to pay $4.25 for a gallon of gas.

It doesnt afect me much as all I do is drive to Drs , all quite close, & to moms assted living , also not to far,
EVEN the ER i haave to go to to often to meet mom is only 4-5 miles away
when i return a leased care they know they get a bargain as hardly any miles on it, but do know it greatly affects others
On the rare occasion I go out with friemnds, they know not to let me drive in my medical condition

Sounds like a nasty storm is heading toward the northeast/New England. I hope any of you living in that area stay safe and warm.

Happy Birthday, Subvet!!!

That man, ,the one who keeps popping up in the upper right corner, and keeps winking at me through his magnifying glass is starting to give me the creeps.

A month ago, I didn't even know there was such a thing as a derecho. Now, the radio tells me that we have a 30% of being hit by another one this afternoon. I long to go back to the good old days when I was so blissfully unaware of this cruel trick by mother nature.
-
Insurance is giving me $28,500.56 to make the needed "super derecho" repairs. Now, the trick is to get all those repairs scheduled and completed.

Woke up to find my kitchen full of big, black ants marching one by one (boo hoo, boo hoo). Just goes to show ya, it's always something.

I'm sitting in the bank today, looking out the window, when I notice a man approaching with a shot gun. Almost wet my capris as I warned the employees. Turned out this guy was transferring his hunting gear from one vehicle to another. Why he chose to park in front of a bank to make this transfer is beyond me.

We got an inch of rain. Yeah! The power went out, again. Boo! This time, we were able to borrow a generator. Yeah! Turned on generator and blew out TV, CD player, and clock. Boo!

Sorry shecolt. If it was me, I wouldn't buy a used piece of electronics unless I could try it out first. VCRs don't last forever in the best of circumstances (the head being off a little bit could result in it not working properly for you even if it worked for the previous owner. You can buy new combo vcr/dvd players for reasonable amounts of money, and after getting our modest sized flat screen I wouldn't go back to the old style if you paid me.

At first, I thought that "Malware Monday" was a hoax. But, after hearing about it on several reliable TV channels; I did check to see if my computer was infected. Happy to say that I am not!

Ugh! There is a dead skunk in the middle of the road right in front of my house and the aroma is permeating each and every room. Last week, it was a live bat in my bedroom. Now, it's a dead skunk. I'm wondering what pleasures are in store for me next???
