    Not a great day to be celebrating a birthday... Thoughts and prayers for all those who have lost loved ones in these senseless killings the past few days in Dallas, MN, and other places.

      Are you speaking about flowers? If so, I have several huge beds of day lilies and I keep thinking those blooms will pop open any day soon which will bring a smile to my face also. :)

    Completed moving 2 Cubic yards of river rock and had a great first BBQ of the season! Man,my daughter did a rub and a sauce for the chicken that was food art! Love good cooks!

    Where can i find the section member's title? I can't locate it anywhere.

      Click on your username (upper right hand corner). Click on "my settings". That should take you to a page that says "General Account Settings". Go down to where it says "Profile Information. There you should find a section to add a member title.

    OK...gotta spill the beans...new puppy on board. Yes this makes four since the avatar has been feeling better. She is a pure bred Golden Retriever puppy named Kandi: A name for all seasons :) She is so soft and sweet. May need to call on Nadine to help me get a pic up soon :)

    I don't know how many roundabouts there are in Carmel, but I think I went through at least 20 of them today . . . which brought back memories of how hard it was for me to enter jump roping without tripping or being whacked in the head.

      Roundabouts are probably great for those who know what the heck they are doing. But, yesterday, I was forced to take the Keystone Pkwy. (a beautiful drive btw) and found myself trying to navigate through those roundabouts. And, judging on the vast # of gorgeous homes that I saw; I would think the city of Carmel could afford to write "south" on the first exit in the roundabout that tells one they are getting back on the Keystone Pkwy. so that the lost & confused would realize tha...

    Anybody watching the Oscars? Really it is such an overrated and boring show. Except for two or three movies,these movies are pretty boring!

    Ahh shells! As I was sprinkling pepper in the chicken ala king I was doing, the pour side opened up! My buddy Coors Light had my back and now chilling with him

      That happened to my husband once. Only, it was ghost pepper flakes in the spaghetti. No amount of Coors Light would help one overcome that "hot" mess.

    I just watched the debut of NBC's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" & I was not very impressed at all...They gave Conan O'Brien the axe for this guy? Are you serious? LOL!

      @SW1, you should have made this a thread. :) Once again, I agree with you. Fallon is not for me, but I understand that others may enjoy him and wish him only the best . . . I just won't be watching unless he makes a drastic improvement.

      Thank you, SW1. I thought that it was just me. The only part that I found entertaining was the interview with Will Smith and that was all because of Will Smith. With Leno, the Tonight Show had the highest ratings. So why they gave $15 million to Leno to leave early is beyond me. You don't fix something that isn't broken.

    Stopped to buy gas today. My vehicle said it was 8 degrees outside. There was a young man putting gas in his car. He was wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and flip flops. Is that supposed to be macho? Cause it just seems rather dumb to me.

    Listening to so much Beatles this week reminded me how much of George Harrison's music I loved. Need to repurchase his stuff on cd.
