  1. Aww.. Thanks, SW1.  I know you like hearing the stories of these special young adults we work with.

Amy was so sweet.   I love the sweetness and innocence of some of these individuals...

When the guy from Papa John's presented her with her 20 year pin  it went something like this:

Mike:  I'd like to present this 20 year pin to you (then he looks at the audience and says I've never presented one of these before)    haha  I'm guessing not many stay at PJ's  for long..   :P

    Amy:   what is this for?

Mike:   Well, when employees work for our company for 20 years, we like to give them this special pin.

Amy:   What company do you work for...??

Mike:   laughing   haha  I work for Papa John's.

Amy:    No you don't.          I'm crying at this point.

Mike:   Yes I do,  I just don't work at your store....

see what I mean by the innocence..??  Amy probably thinks her Papa Johns is the only one.

  2. I have been to 6 games from 2008 until now in Lucas Oil and the Colts are 5-1 with the only loss coming this Monday night versus the Eagles.

Wins were against Baltimore in 2008, Green Bay and the Vikings in 2012, and Denver & Seattle in 2013.

My next game is against Baltimore in October and hoping to start another winning streak!

We were also at the Seattle and Denver games last year.   Been to at least one home game a year since 1998.  Hoping to get one in this year too.  Rest assured it will be a Win  :)

  3.

I know alot of the members enjoy conversing with each other on gameday, and I can imagine it would be hard to keep up with everything in one thread, but on the other hand you don't need 30 different threads on one game.  Hopefully this will work.

I personally try to stay away from the threads on gameday...   I want to be able to watch the game and not have it tainted by the opinions of others,  but that's just me.

  4. haha, I love this.  Grandkids are so precious.  Your comment about hoping Andrew would be picking him up at the airport made me smile, and made me remember back several years ago when my son was planning his wedding in Tennessee and while making out the guest list, my then 4 year old grandson Tanner asked me if Peyton would be there.  ;)

  5. Cooking dinner for the family, as usual. ;) This year's Thanksgiving is bittersweet for us. It is the first Thanksgiving for our newest grandaughter, and then two days later we will be honoring her "other" grandfather at a Memorial Service ( he passed away last week). Trying to focus on being thankful that he lived long enough to see and hold his first grandchild.
