and who are you to tell him he cant air his frustrations about the people over reacting to the people over reacting to tommie harris being cut?

  2. ok is there any proof besides adam saying so because i keep googleing this and i cant get anyone supporting this

    robert mathis just tweeted it...

"dayum.. hate to see my dude Tommie Harris go! great player, homie and student of the game. He opened my eyes to alot of stuff in"

  3. Were you going to give Stampedeblue.com credit for that article? I just read that entire post this morning....

The author, BigBlueShoe, is a bit of an idi ot, btw.... Hughes was ineffectual, but I hardly think that he's the reason why we lost. Seems like that dude is always pushing some agenda or another in his articles. *rolleyes*

agreed. i mainly like to read mgrex stuff. bigblueshoe has a serious hatred and bias for jerry hughes. its a little over the top. no jerry hasnt been great. yes you want to see your 1st round pick develop, but dude needs to give it a rest

  4. lol. Why does every single signing have to be an explanation of something else?

Chris is doing essentially what Bellicheck has done, but on a much less risky level. Bring in this guy and that guy, all who have shown promise at some point in their careers, and kick the tires to see what they have left.

Let's face it folks, outside of Freeney, Mathis, Bethea, and Brackett, a good deal of our defensive starting cast would be 2nd or 3rd string on other teams. So bringing in former starters who need the opportunity to prove themselves once again will only push others to earn their spots. Do you think Moala took the signings of Anderson, Harris, and Brayton lightly? Mookie Johnson? How about Kavell Conner or Pat Angerer with the signing of Sims?

Each and every signing that has been done thus far are all one year deals that can be torn up before the start of the regular season, with very little cap or wallet effect to the Colts FO. You kick the tires, and see if any cream rises to the top. And, should Harris or Sims (or anyone else for that matter) benefit our roster enough, come next season, the Colts may look to re-sign "their own" as they'll have a full year of experience with that player.

All of these signings only imply that the Colts are doing everything they can with the limited space they have to improve their roster. It is not an indication of how poor of a player Hughes, or anyone else is for that matter. Nor is the Brayton signing an indication that the Colts are trying to replace Mathis next year. Mathis >>>>>>>>> Brayton, by a long shot. There is a reason why Mathis was demanding a contract extension and also a reason why Brayton got cut.

As to the Brayton signing, I'd figure he and Anderson look to be the part of a Raheem Brock type of role here. Spend some time at UT on passing downs, spend some time at DE on rushing downs. Those two only have to be better than Moala, Nevis, or Mathews to have a shot at sticking to the roster. They may or may not make the cut. But in any case, they give the Colts better options to select from at DT.

And come next season, you do the same thing again. Bring in FAs on 1 year deals with the opportunity to stick to the 53 man roster. So long as you don't extend significant money to an unknown quantity, you can always continue to re-sign your own each and every off season.

yes this. bringing in competition never hurts, and you never know when you will find someone who can outplay their abilities.

  5. I dont wanna turn this into a basketball argument, but this is my response to coltsrule91. Players that are bettere right now than kobe (not a better career, just better right now) in no specific order

    Kevin Durant

    Dirk Nowitzki

    Dwyane Wade

    LeBron

    Dwight Howard

kobe was not very spectacular last year, at all.

  6. I'm saying he played great... for one drive. One drive is not a whole game. Reggie WAyne and Austin Collie did not have good games, but they did not have bad games, mostly because they barely played. I never said that we should cut Garcon b/c of this game, so I don't know where you're getting that from. So to answer your question, i'm about 6'1, 190 pounds, so im pretty thin. :)

lol at the last sentence. i guess to me, the title of the thread is players who looked good tonight. what we saw of garcon he looked good. sorry if i sounded attacking or accusatory. Maybe i misunderstood you.

  7. Thanks, your just helping prove my point. He played really only 1 series, and had one catch, which means that it wasn't a great game, but only a great catch.

how thick are you? he had one opportunity and made a great catch for 41 yards. playing what 8 plays? in what way is that not a good game?? Did you expect him to put up 100 yards and 3 tds in 2 drives? How did reggie play? do you wanna cut him he played soo bad? what about collie?

garcon made a great play, he looked really good for what he played in the game, therefore he had a great game.

  8. well, ive been a colts fan long enough to not be panicky right now... nevertheless it is incredibly frustrating to watch that when i have been waiting to watch football for so long... guess i just gotta wait til september. lol.

again, i am not panicking. haha. just not enjoyable to watch haha

  9. just hit up the demo..had 390 yds n 7 tds on 18 carries w forte..still pretty easy..

..while my gf laid bside me

you must be lying. there is no way you could possibly have a girlfriend AND play videogames. its just not possible.

  10. im recently engaged and played the madden demo last night. matter of fact im gonna buy the game when it comes out. :whatever:

its really none of my business, but i think 13 is WAY to early to get married... haha
