  1. You remind me of some of the people that defended the late night tweets, and odd behavior as eccentricities, when some of us pointed to a problem. They now have egg on their face. Before putting up a huge defense like some before you, you may want to wait until more of the facts come out. You still have the blood test, etc, and more info that may come out. We will see what happens.

I would rather have "egg on my face" thinking the best of someone than to state something which I don't know to be true based on suspicion.  Yes I defended him and took him at his word, which I do with all people.  It may make me naive but I don't mind.  It makes me a happier person and it's a shame this happened but it in no way makes me think less of Jim.  He is human after all and we all have our struggles.  I don't mind being wrong when I feel my attitude is right.

  2. I understand the cheerleaders are a part of the NFL entertainment package but I go to a game to watch the game.  I'm sure the girls have much more on their minds (their routines) than trying to meet people as an added distraction.  I think it's unfair to the girls and a bad situation to put them in.  There are other opportunities to meet the cheerleaders like the fanfests.  This is a bit much imo.

  3. I am thankful for the people who take the time to share their thoughts on the forum and in doing so have become individuals I want to know and spend time with.  Who have a common bond with me in caring about this team.  Who yell and scream, cry and rant with me.  Who so very often know what I want to say but say it better, or of course exactly right.

I am thankful for the joy this team has given me.  The excitement of a truly incredible play.  The unexpected plays that bring me jumping to my feet with my fists in the air yelling at the top of my lungs.

I am thankful for the pride I feel that the Colts are my team.  That this is an organization I care about and they do it the right way.  The good in the community, and the brotherhood of the team.  I am proud of these guys.

I am thankful that they have made me closer to my family.  The time we spend together during a game and talking about it afterward.

I am thankful that all those meals I have fixed for the game have been burnt up in calories during the game.  :)

  4. This thread is an example of why I love this forum.  Sure you get the bad but there are so many good people on here that off-set it and make it a place I want to visit.

I hope you continue to post Warhorse but totally understand if you choose not to.  Just remember you have friends here whatever you decide.

  5. Well said JJ. What also irks me is that when 'we' put up 14, 17 or 21 unanswered points it's all nice and 'high five' land on here, but when other teams do it to us, the whole world is about to end. Like other teams have no right to play well etc.

Yep, we can all be a little blind sometimes.

Ps - yet to catch The White Queen, but hope to get the DVD series soon.

Loved that series.  I'm now looking for the books.  (A little backward I know.)

And LUCK is a 60 minute player. I can see it. He  doesn't quit or get dejected.

This.  I love how he stays calm under pressure also.

  6. Indy Star had an article on this yesterday:

Jaworski believes Luck is exceptional, as are his handlers, offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton and quarterbacks coach Clyde Christensen, at gathering information throughout the game and being prepared for how and whom they’re going to attack when the game is on the line.

    Luck confirmed that.

“I think we practice so many late-game situations that it’s drilled into us as a football team,” Luck said. “You go out there and focus on your technique. You realize you don’t want to do anything different, anything over the top in a sense.

“When we’re winning, in the huddle he wants more, he wants more,” Colts tackle Gosder Cherilus said. “When we’re losing, he’s going to fight. He asks all of us to fight for our lives.”

  7. Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. Been reading for years but just decided to join today. I've noticed there's a lot of really smart people on here with some great insight. I'm not gonna pretend to be a football expert like many of you are, but I sure do love the game, and I'll always stand behind this team!

It's about time you signed up.  We've been waiting on you forever!

  8. This is another thing I love about this team:

Pagano on hazing and whether he’s ever seen anything like what happened in Miami: “Never really been around it, fortunately. I can’t speak to anybody else’s locker room except our own. We try to create an environment and a culture here based on our core values, which are trust, loyalty and respect. We got great veteran leaders in our locker room that take care of things. Our guys, we talk about serving and respecting one another. We’re fortunate. We got a great locker room and a great building.”

Hilton, who was a rookie last season, on hazing in the Colts’ locker room: “Oh, not at all. We’re a family here and we take everybody in. That’s our motto, we’re a family. We put all our chips in and we just respect one another, no matter what it is. We all got to respect each other and it shows on the field.”

Walden, who said they have a no-nonsense policy on hazing in Indianapolis, on whether they ever ask rookies do little things for their veteran teammates: “Yeah, exactly. Carrying the helmets or sunflower seeds or Gatorade or whatever it may be. Nothing to the extreme where you have a person pulling a no-show, messing with their confidence or anything of that nature. I don’t really give into that.”

I am proud of this organization and the way it is run.  Truly great guys that do so much for the community.

  9. I took a sign to the Game.  Maybe some found mine offensive too..   :dunno:

I have watched Peyton play since his College Days, and I wanted to show my Respect, on a night that many were trying to come to some kind of closure.

I tried hard to come up with something that would be appropriate, yet not offensive to others.  I enlisted the help of a few others on the Forum here to help me with the wording, and I will leave them unmentioned, unless they choose to acknowledge it themselves.

The SNF Bus crew happened to love it, and were Singing along to the tune, as "they" were snapping many photos.....

This is what we came up with, for those of you that missed it.

I love your sign Gramz and I like how it ties in with your love of music also.
