    :facepalm: I don't care that you are not a "believer" in this approach, to each their own, but at least make sure you actually understand what it means...there are about multiple threads on this very site where this topic is discussed at length, I recommend reading at least one of them...maybe you will see it is not as black and white as you are making it.

     I understand what it means. I truly apologize for making things so black and white on a public message board.

    What I should have said was. "I made this mock thinking teams will fill needs rather than taking the best player available in every case"

  2. Honestly, it's all a crap shoot. I can see guys like Billings, Spence, Apple, and Ragland going as high as the early teens, but I can also see Ragland and Billings falling out of the first round all together. I'm not a believer in this "best player available" horse crap. If the best player at #18 is a QB or WR, we CAN'T take them. Even if it was Goff. You draft to find starters to fill holes. You won't see Tennessee take Elliot if he falls to them, or Carolina take Goff if he falls to them, it just doesn't make sense.

  3. I'm predicting a big run on WR earlier than expected and Myles Jack to fall to mid teens.

    1 Rams Jared Goff QB

  4. People are so afraid of the names they don't know, or letting people develop. Most of the times, only players in the first 2, maybe 3 rounds of the draft develop into solid starters in year 1. Some 1st round picks are flops (T rich) and some 6th rounders are gems (Brady)   I wouldn't say I'm super excited about the way our line looks today, but at one point, someone said "FML, we have Brady, or Rodgers, or Wilson starting? we're doomed, FIRE the coach FIRE the GM!"

    Take a deep breath, hit the pause button, resume your complaining after the draft :)

  5. I was already worrying about the pats but realized that jets will give the pats fits. And jets are a quarterback away from afc favorites. Im not suprised if they will surprise with a trade for qb on draft day...

    I'm more afraid of Buffalo than the Jets. The jets usually have a good defense, it's the offense that kills them. Buffalo doesn't have a ton of offense either, but it's better than the Jets. Dolphins are a crapshoot, I'm just glad they all got better and will beat up on New England more. I think it's possible for New England to only go 4-2 or 3-3 in their Division.

  6. If something happened to Thomas during mini camp or something, like a torn ACL, I could see Denver shipping Manning to Buffalo/Jets/Tampa Bay/Jacksonville/Oakland for a few draft picks. Rex Ryan would give up a 2016 and 2017 1st rd pick for one year of manning. That def with Manning and Mccoy would be a contender for sure.

  7. This.

    T.Y. = Star

    AJ = Legend

    Donte = Riser

    Carter= Wild Card

    Whalen = Special Teamer

    There's no need to draft a reciever this year unless it a very late (6th rd) pick to challenge Griff. Our WR Corp hasnt been this promising in some time. Im pumped!

    I don't think this years WR core is much better than we thought it was last year. TY is still TY, we all thought Wayne would play well last year, we thought Nicks would be better than he was. AJ is an upgrade over Wayne, Moncreif and Nicks are comparable, but Moncreif has more upside. Who knows what Carter will do.

    I do agree 100% with your 5 WR and the role they play. I do wonder though if Carter might return punts?

  8. Were already looking at a receiver getting cut. Most likely whalen. Adding reggie would probably get moncrief or carter cut and stunt the wr corps growth. And theyre probably going to get a receiver this year's.

    Also, why the FACK woud we cut last years 3rd round draft choice (Moncreif) or a guy we just signed (Carter) Do you realize we have players on the team other than starters? Guys for depth, guys for when TY gets tired. Guys for when we go into 3 and 4 wr sets? Suggesting that we would cut Carter or Moncreif if we sign Wayne is ridiculous.

  9. Were already looking at a receiver getting cut. Most likely whalen. Adding reggie would probably get moncrief or carter cut and stunt the wr corps growth. And theyre probably going to get a receiver this year's.

    Are you so sure? In 2014 we had 8 WR on the active roster: TY Hilton, Reggie Wayne, Hakeem Nicks, Donte Moncreif, Griff Whalen, Josh Cribbs, Josh Lenz, and Ryan Lankford.

    As of right now, we have 8 WR on the active roster: TY Hilton, Donte Moncreif, Griff Whalen, Andre Johnson, Duron Carter, Josh Lenz, Ryan Lankford, Kadron Boone.

    I think we could cut one of the last 3 to make room for Reggie Wayne. The problem is not finding room for him on the roster, it's dressing him for games.

    I think Whalen will be our PR/KR this year.

  10. I think they all give us challenges because of their defense, however none of their offenses are up to snuff. I find we usually play poorly against our own division, or slaughter. We don't seem to win 28-17. We either win 20-17, or 35-7. It's weird.

  11. I'd like to see the cowboys pick him up.

    I wish him well, it wasn't his fault where he was drafted and the Colts giving up a #1 for him.

    I don't know how he'd do in Dallas. Part of me says good because they have a really good line, but part of me thinks if he struggles at all on "americas team" the publicity will destroy him. He needs to go to jacksonville or oakland where if he does still suck, no one will notice lol.

  12. Omar Kelly said we were interested in Wilfork.

    Also fwiw a former Miami player (who played with Gore and Johnson) who is a FA this year as asked if he wanted to play with Gore and Johnson in Indy and said something along the lines of "yeah that would be awesome". That means either Wilfork or Rolle.

    Rolle has publicly stated he wants to play for us

  13. I know.....

    But it's not an apples to apples comparison for those reasons....

    I know it's not apples to apples, but as far as a 2015 cap hit is concerned, for the extra 1.5-2M$ I would have rather had Boling than Herremans. That's all I'm saying/meaning.
