Plus almost 3M population versus under 1M for Indy so it is what it is.
Yup, we will have to suffer Bears fans in our state for the rest of time, they aren’t going anywhere

I completely agree. The Jets were too quick to get rid of him. He seemed to be injured a lot, but I thought he was talented. You need to give talented players time to develop.
They fed Darnold to the wolves and then blamed it all on him when he failed. The Jets are a garbage franchise that doesn’t do right by their fans

It’s sickening how many bears fans are there.
I agree, but unfortunately most people in Indiana were Bears fans before the Colts arrived and it’s run in the family since then.

There’s just nothing about it where you can trust them. Do they ever practice tackling?
They look scared to be aggressive, they’d rather be “safe” except they can’t even do that because they can’t tackle well. I know we all gave Eberflus ****, and rightly so, but at least we could tackle back then

That's the new NFL way .. give up after a couple years. How the jets gonna give up on the guy who replaced the guy they gave up on
Maybe some of our board members are the Jets GM lol

I think the Jets would have been better off keeping Darnold than drafting Zach Wilson. It is not hindsight. I liked Darnold when he was with the Jets. I thought they should have built the team around him rather than draft a QB.
Darnold’s problem was that he was talented but needed development. He got none with the Jets and it set his career back years. Zach Wilson was never going to be an NFL QB, his one good year at BYU was a fluke caused by the Covid weirdness

I hate our defense. The formations, style, play calls and the coaching never fixing any bad form
The best way to describe our defense is “soft”

I'm sad we didn't jump on Baker.
I wanted to, but I don’t think it would have worked in retrospect. Baker needed to be humbled by having to fight for playing time with the Panthers and Rams before he made his comeback.

This defense sucks at tackling. Why is Bradley still here?! Hire Mathis to be DC at this point

Ah yes.
3rd and long followed by embarrassment.
Gus Bradley needs to go. Everyone is talking about AR, the real issue right now is our DC.

@Patrick Miller Darnold, Geno Smith, and Mayfield are good reasons why fans should not give up on their QBs.
The Browns would sell their souls (again) to have Baker back

Us Old folks dont want anything but playoff shots! Flacco may give us more a shot now, but we are too old to wait around anymore for a project that needs more time to develope! It’s the NfL, which means Not For Long! I don’t have much longer on this earth to wait watchn bad football! Im all on board IU football now since they have a slim chance to make the cfp! Probably will still never seek a Pacer NBA championship because Nba hates Indiana! Just a pessimistic point of view!
Well I can appreciate that point of view, but you have to understand that Steichen, Ballard, and Irsay are not dedicated to getting brief playoff glimpses, they are dedicated to building in the long haul. I’m sorry that may not be what you want, but that’s the facts of it.

At least a full season. Maybe even next one.
Just have patience. Look at it this way: it’s not like there are any quick fixes on the solution.
To the people that want Arch, even if we got him, it won’t be for another 2 years, so may as well give AR that much time

So Taylor is all the way back.
If you go back and look at it, the legendary year JT had with Wentz was helped a lot by our OL. That OL was very good. Our OL isn’t quite that good anymore, and I think that has hindered JT, along with injuries

I’m not advocating AOC. Saying after Stroud he was the most productive. So not sure there was ever an option other than AR
There wasn’t, AR was our only option and his physical gifts were too much to pass on. We had to take the swing, in retrospect. It’s not like we missed out on drafting the next Mahomes like the Bears did when they drafted Trubisky
-
I appreciate your positivity, we need more of that around here

After having to watch both Richardson and Williams this week, I definitely still feel better about Richardson than Williams. Williams has been terribly not good.
They both will need time to sink or swim. My gut says neither is a future star, but we won’t know for another year at least

if he makes zero improvement by the end of the year and we get a top 5 pick i would take another QB and have them compete next year.
I’m not high on this year’s QB prospects personally

Well the folks below him haven’t take off either.
AOC?
Lol as a diehard Purdue fan who saw AOC in person for years, he’s a career backup at best. What did you want Ballard to do? It was Richardson or Levis and Levis is awful. We needed to swing at a QB draft pick for once and we did. We have to give AR time to either sink or swim. Do I think he’s the QB of the future? No, not really. But I want him to be so badly, because I want the Colts to succeed.

Just now, Patrick Miller said:
I would like him to work out too. But I’m not gonna put blinders on. He’s horrible great deep throw and good runner, but his accuracy and decision-making suck.
The way you’ve talked about him, you seem like you would be pretty happy if he didn’t pan out. I hated Will Levis as a prospect, I thought he was extremely overrated, but if the Colts had drafted him I would still root for him and gladly eat crow 10 times over if it meant the Colts got a good QB

So get a QB coach who can work on his intermediate throws. Forms sale fix it. You drafted him. You need to fix it
I didn’t draft him. I didn’t want to draft him. I didn’t like the pick. Unlike you guys though, I want him to work out and be a star because I don’t see the point in giving up on a player immediately and rooting for them to fail.

Pierce has done a 180 so far this year, super impressed with him.
He’s a deep threat and we haven’t had a QB capable of throwing a deep ball since we drafted Pierce

Hence the point I made about being in the future.
Yes because that would totally make a 180 change in the span of 2-3 years if AR didn’t work out

AR is already poised to be more successful than Jeff George because Jeff George was an arrogant jerk. AR is humble and polite, that serves you much better as a young QB. Just ask Ryan Leaf.
