  1. I think there are too many important figures in Indiana sports history to put on just one, although I think we can all agree that Peyton is #1. I will say this though: How cool is it that the best men’s college basketball player for the past two years and the best women’s college basketball player the past two years are both connected to Indiana? Meanwhile ISU made the NIT championship game, and Purdue made the national championship game, AND the Pacers are back in the playoffs. Indiana basketball is alive and well!
  2. Wish we knew the full details, but if the charges were dismissed with prejudice I’m inclined to believe he was innocent. I hope he doesn’t come into legal trouble again and puts it all behind him moving forward.
  3. Buckner is probably my favorite Colt right now, so I’m ecstatic about this. I know we didn’t do a lot of external work in free agency, but keeping pretty much everyone and also giving extensions to our own guys is huge. -Resigned Pitt -Resigned Grover -Resigned Kenny -Resigned Tyquan Lewis -Resigned Sanchez -Resigned Ronnie Harrison Jr. -Resigned Pinter -Resigned Blackmon -Extended Zaire -Extended Buckner -Extended JT Those are all impact players that we have locked down for multiple years. All of that in one season is really damn impressive to me.
  4. With all due respect, that kind of situation sounds like the level of competency that I imagine all government agencies work at.
  5. I’m hopeful one day the Luck debates on here can end. I loved the guy and don’t blame him for retiring, and I understand why others may think the complete opposite, but it’s all water under the bridge now either way.
  6. I blame the Rams loss on Bradley’s defense. He played them super soft and Stafford carved us up for an easy OT touchdown. Richardson was amazing in that game.
  7. Everyone has their own opinion on what AR can/will become, but I will never understand people who actively root against Colts players becoming successful just so they can be right. I didn’t like Levis at all as a player and I’m glad the Colts didn’t draft him, but if they did, I would’ve supported him 100% and gladly eaten crow if I ended up being wrong.
  8. I could very well be biased, but I saw a lot more out of AR last year than I did Levis. Levis wasn’t as bad as Bryce Young, but he looked like a future career backup QB to me. But hey, things can change fast in this league. I guess we’ll see.
  9. Ridley to Titans makes them better, but it makes the Jags weaker. Also worth noting that all of the Titans’ moves may be for nothing if Levis doesn’t improve in year 2.
  10. Well you are right in that none of what happens here does matter, that’s for sure. Thank goodness it doesn’t, or the Colts would be run by a bunch of people talking on a forum.
  11. I would also be “thrilled and grateful” to be getting out of New England, and not because I hate them…what a mess they are now.
  12. Well since you and I are fans of both teams, my thought is that Moss can do it, but can the Bengals’ OL? I think that’s the real reason that Mixon peaked and leveled out the last couple of years.
  13. In all fairness, we set a franchise record for sacks last year. I think this is the best Colts defensive line since the days of Freeney and Mathis. The problem is that we hardly ever blitz, and that’s on the scheme and the coach, not Ballard or the players.
  14. I would have to think Moss was told by the Bengals that Mixon was being let go and the starting job was his to lose. Cincy has a promising young back in Chase Brown, entering his second year out of Illinois, but for now, Moss will be the clear starter in the Jungle. Getting to play for a top-3 QB in the league and being on an immediate Super Bowl contender also likely pushed him towards Cincy over other offers.
  15. Very very happy that we kept Pitt, Grove, and Lewis and extended Zaire. I would really love to have Kenny and Blackmon back too, but even more importantly, we need to resign Rigo. Punters of his quality are not easy to come by. I’m ok with Minshew and Moss leaving. Both were great Colts and great teammates, but they deserve better opportunities than they’ll get here.
  16. That’s also bull crap too, Bengals should have had Hendrickson first-team. He was tied for second-most sacks this season (17.5) behind only TJ Watt, and he had 3 more than Garrett.
  17. Buckner over Chris Jones, easily in my opinion
  18. Personally I think Pitt has reached his ceiling. It’s a top-15 WR ceiling, which is still fantastic, but he’s never going to be Chase or Jefferson or Hill. Pierce and especially Downs still have room to grow. If I’m Ballard, I franchise tag Pitt and swing for an elite WR in the draft.
  19. Campbell left to go be a star in NYC and has basically been MIA all year. Sad stuff
  20. I’m glad he’s not entirely opposed to the franchise tag. With that being said, I think he’s trying to see if the Colts will match him, and if I’m Ballard I’m playing this very carefully. I love Pitt and I would pay him a lot to stay, but if he demands Justin Jefferson/Ja’Marr Chase money, you can’t pay him that.
  21. In this league, you have to pressure QBs to win, and we don’t pressure enough. We get sacks, yes, because our DL is pretty talented, but we simply don’t blitz enough to protect our back end. I think this is a bad idea.
  22. Maybe, but the Texans and Jags also have their QB now. It’s going to be a three-dog fight for the foreseeable future, and the Texans are ahead of schedule on their rebuild too. Now I think AR will end up being the best of the four AFCS QBs, but it may take a year or two.
