That’s how I feel as well. Kinlaw is going to be awesome.

     Thirding this.

I LOVE love don't get me wrong. I've beat his drum here before. That being said Kinlaw with the 13th and Anthony Gordon in a later round doesn't make me mad at all. I was impressed with his performance and now digging into his 2019 season I like it.

  2. My initial reaction was: Awesome, he just got cheaper.

Real talk though, I completely understand the worries about decision making on his behalf that some of you are saying. It's not a good move when you've got all eyes on you and need to step up.

That being said, personally speaking, I could care less about usage of weed, legal or not. Coming from a family of alcoholics and being a certified emt I'm more concerned about LEGAL consumption of booze and its effects.

I liked the kid going to us but I was on the fence about spending a first rounder on him. This might have him fall into a more comfortable risk vs. reward range.

  3. I was going to write out a ridiculous conspiracy theory that Reich doesn't like Chad Kelly since he was the backup to Chad's uncle Jim Kelly with the bills but then I realized how absolutely click baity and dumb that statement is lol.

Wasn't his best game, but he still made plenty of incredible throws.

Since you love traditional stats, let's play a game.

Hypothetically, a rookie NFL QB posts the following stats for the season: 26 TDs, 28 INTs, 56.7% completion percentage.

After that performance, would you start looking for a replacement?

I don't think you can teach this guy anything, but I certainly appreciate all the info!

I mean as you're so fond of saying a QB needs WRs... there is a stark difference in his TD:INT ratio from his first 2 years to this. Can you guess at some things that have changed?

^^^ This, Kinda glad hes had a rough year, gives him a better shot at slipping to our range.

So Ballard may not have been with the chiefs by the time they pulled the trigger on Mahomes, but his scouting work on him was there for the Chiefs prior. I fully trust his ability with picking QBs, and If Ballard has been this high on Love since before the season began, I'm inclined to believe he is very interested on pulling that trigger, especially after this past game, and him showing up in person to watch.

It's not gonna happen. But I would love to see Kelly get a shot to go out and sling it. I know this is gonna get alot of heat. But JB and I have tried to get behind is boring to watch and is not the answer.

Football is meant for entertainment, it's not just the wins but the spectacular show they put on. So I wouldn't say you get heat for saying that. It's something I've noticed aswell, and all the podcasts I listen to involving analysts, writers, and scouts have the same thing to say about watching the colts: it will bore you to death. IE: Pick Six and Around the NFL.

So it's easier for us to watch because we are fans and just want them to win in anyway they can, others switch to more enticing games.

Justin Fields is gonna be an absolute stud. If there was any chance the Colts could get him or Lawrence in 2021 I'd say wait, but they'd have to lose so many games I just don't see it happening.

Colts have scouts at that game too

These guys make it seem like it’s easy to fine and MVP qb, like how long did teams have to lose and how many bust first round pick QBs before they land a good QB then when they get them what have they done other put stats up ?

I'd argue that alot of it comes down to bad teams that earn first picks are throwing a rookie into the fire without any sort of infrastructure. So even if the rookie is talented they have very little success with them and wont develop them correctly.

But thats a fair assessment. Elite QBs don't just fall into your lap. I just don't think that's a good enough arguement to not try.

ZazaI have been a JB supporter throughout this year, but I am starting to lose faith in his abilities. The waiting for his guys to get open is a big deal, because in the NFL, if you dont throw it where your WR is going to be open, your window of opportunity is already gone by the time you see it unfold.

JB doesn't seem to have Anticipation of his WRs coming open. Everything else is at an acceptable level. His Pocket awareness is good enough. Hes hard to bring down. He brings a real definition of the term "Lazer, Rocket arm" to the table. He can scramble. Hes overall safe with the ball.

All these things dont matter if you're missing your windows of opportunity. JB doesn't trust himself to make that throw. Hes playing scared of the interception, and its hindering his progress. You gotta sling it to see the progression of the play in real time.

Frank Reich has to know this is happening. I'm not going to say JB cant get better in this area. But I'm losing faith that he can. We will know over the next year and a half. I would be fine with drafting a guy and letting him sit behind JB for a year. Theres no way Ballard is content with the level of QB play when hes constantly evaluating the roster.

Yeah, I'm right with you on this. I know we need another playmaker in the WR market but it's difficult to evaluate their impact when they're either hurt or he's not giving them a chance.

No. I'm saying the team goes as the coach says. Plain & simple. They have an excellent RB and a good QB so who gets the ball?

No, we have a great running offense and an average to below average QB. We are a one dimensional team unless Jacoby hits his ceiling every single game and has everyone else  is playing midtake free.

I'm sorry if I misunderstood your post. I was referencing the future with Jacoby as QB has a very limited ceiling for our offense moving forward. Regardless of our RB situation.

Andrew Luck? Reich says the Colts are a running team and until he says different there is no need for a Watson or Wilson type QB.

So what you're saying is we need a Lamar Jackson type QB to compliment the running offense?

    I'm down.

ST Elmos is always a must. If you are a big meat eater Fogo Dechao is a great place but be prepared to eat. They have some decent bars to go to, I really enjoy Punch bowl social, brothers and Howl at the moon. There is also the slippery noodle in the area if you're into blues. The circle center monument is always cool along with the museum at the speedway. If you go north there is topgolf which is a blast along with all sort of indoor go cart places.

    Thank you so much!!!

  13. So I have a similar question: this is my first time ever going to LOS and Indianapolis as a whole! (Been to a colts/chiefs game in kc) We are roadtripping 10 hours and were wondering what arw some of the best places to eat in the city and general sightseeing- adventure having avenues.

thats why i’m taking him he’s perfect for our situation. Personally i’ll take him w our mid 1st but that’s me if we can get him w the Redskins 2nd even better. He might be the most talented QB en the draft and w Brissett under contract for a year i dnt see the downside en letting our nxt QB learn behind the scenes. Jordan Love almost makes too much sense.

To follow along with this train of thought, Im down to pick him up in the second, and get a playmaker in the first round like WR. I do think love might slip to the second round. Him having a bad year could seriously have landed him in our hand. Ballard was high on him before the season. No matter what the choices be though, I hope we keep our first rounder this year. We need some more first round talent.
