Positive comments (cheer leading) is a healthy way to go through life.
what is your proof of this? Positivity is a relatively new philosophy of life and is actually a suburban American creation.
older cultures don’t stress bias. They also are not as emotionally invested in that kind of attitude.
positive thinking led to the nazi plague. Neville chamberlain and his type could not believe Hitler was a monomaniac and held peace in his time shortly before Hitler and his Allies ravaged humanity and nearly instituted totalitarianism world wide.
o nabob Churchill kept warning them over and over and over. We must Arm.
positivity almost had you goose stepping brother.

Nattering nabobs of negativity more often comes from a below level comprehension of FB reality, often combined with probably some other personality disorder/s.
People in general deal with some differences/odd takes, some keep it in between the lines better. I am Older, and have my own struggles.
A heavy use with Ignore keeps me away from suffering so much with....
Them Kind.
Lots of struggles and ugly coming from all levels, as we need a couple seasons of experience with all these young Uns, and a couple really good drafts and FA periods to hopefully one day again being a top 8 upper echelon. Hoping to live to see it.
I don’t want a positive bridge builder . I want one who recognizes and focuses on any possible bridge flaw. -

U r never getting a 1st for Taylor. I sense this could aimilar to Lamar. Thr other teams knew that Baltimore was using the rest of the NFL in negotiating with the Lamar. Plus teams maybe don't want to reward a player who wants more money and is basically bullying his way out of town. Remember teams can offer them say a 3rd or a 4th. However, they can go back to Taylor and say see u ain't worth what u r asking and u r staying put!!!!
I wouldn’t say never. Griggs gave a 1 for TRich. Does o brien still work for an NFL franchise lol?

Yeah but is he going to agree to a trade with no extension.
And is a team going to trade for him with no guaranteed extension.

I love Irsay as an owner. I think he loves his team, but he needs to step aside and let Ballard run it. Sink or swim, and the last 2 years have seen Irsay turn into the Jerry Jones of the AFC. Yes, I have been hard on Ballard. He had some things to deal with along the way, but u r what your record says u r!!!!
See moose I disagree with you here. I’m not an Irsay fan. I think his live clouds his judgement.
But I’m not going to question your integrity over it buddy lol.

Who are people? Lateral quickness is great if they need to move. If it's right in their face it's irrelevant. Lower body strength, good hand placement, body leverage. A lot goes into it. Lateral quickness is one part
Ok buddy . Lol.

So what you’re saying is we can blame you for Luck retiring since you joined right before? Haha
What’s this got to do with JT or the Colts?
Yes cs it was my fault lol.

Having natural forward body lean is also useful. Edge, Addai, Vic Ballard, Ahmed Bradshaw. Stand up runners usually engage more upright.
Yup. That to.

An example as to why stats and rankings could be flawed, and the eye test could be superior.
If true, that Henry is not on the field a lot during pass plays, then I would take it that the coaches think he is not good at pass pro, (superior to both the media and other players opinions). I would take their word over a data compilation service like PFF who might only have a small sample size for which Henry excelled...you know, did well as pass pro when the defense didn't expect a pass play with Henry on the field.
Or, he could be off the field during pass plays because the coaches don't think he can catch, and not because of pass pro.
The dynamic with Henry is sort of the same as with JT regarding pass pro. I would throw them into the same bucket as being untrustworthy pass protectors based upon how the coaches are choosing to use them.
And, if they have catching issues...not saying they do...it would appear that the coaches do not value JTs and Henry's contribution to the passing game as maybe some other RBs.
Has JT been traded for two 5th rounders yet? LOL.
People don’t understand what makes a good pass protector for a RB. It’s not size and strength it’s lateral quickness. You look at ras scored on agilities and both JT and DH are very very low, so there is no way either dude is ever going to be great in pass pro. It’s just s physical impossibility.
no trade yet DD.

You have ragged on Irsay and Ballard for as long as i remember reading your comments about them. I'm not sure you are a fan of the Colts or not?
I really think you love to find things to whine about no matter what goes on. I
Moose is high on AR.
CC, I know I’m a Colts fan but man we’ve done some dumb stuff and haven’t had much success going on close to a decade now.
I actually joined this board about a week before Luck retired and was totally excited and positive. Since then, we’ve had a rough time if it and these last couple of seasons have been disastrous and our org just looks terrible.
I really don’t understand what people are looking at if they don’t see that.
I wish people would just talk ball and lose the personal attacks.
I don’t initiate attacks but I also don’t back down from them.
in short there is a lot to whine about lol.

Guess the number of times Derrick Henry set in pass pro last year

Did you not say Henry was bad at pass pro?
he’s not been great at it. Did he have a better year last year . I don’t pay for pff so look up sample size. He’s rarely on the field in obvious passing downs. -

I never said JT was good at pass pro. You said Henry wasn't.
That was an excellent example of the classic logical fallacy called a non sequitur.
I might use that as an example of what not to do someday. Thank you.

So now you move goal posts again. I guess NFL players aren't football guys.
PFF also says Derrick Henry is 7th in pass protection. You know, the guy you said wasn't good at pass pro.
You asked about all pro. Media guys vote for all pro BB. Guys who studies Shakespeare and ed Murrow lol.

I’m still waiting for your answer Jvan. Do you know who votes for all pro?

Did Nelson and Leonard have All Pro seasons right before and after signing their contracts?
are you asking were they all pro or did they play all pro level? -

I think this is a sign Ballard is changing his approach. He is right we only won 4 games last year and everything needs evaluated. It doesn’t help Taylor is a RB too. Ballard hinted at all of this in his presser before training camp started. Taylor should not of taken everything so personal.
I’m not sure if Taylor is taking things personal. He may and I would understand if he did.But I think he is just trying to force more money and/or a trade. This team has very little going for it right now and RBs earning windows tend to be very short.
I think the premises of his logic are flawed, but we shouldn’t ignore that he hired Shaqs agent who got Shaq a grossly overpriced deal.

Ballard isn’t stupid. Your coming off surgery and didn’t have a great year. We have a new HC go out and prove your healthy then we will talk. I am sure Ballard and Irsay are on the same page.
Neither Nelson nor Leonard had great years and were coming off surgeries. Was he stupid then? And learned the error of his ways?

Perhaps Irsay felt he had to step in to announce the Colts position of holding JT to the contract because of some concern that Ballard might have just extended him like Nelson and Leonard.
Well we tried to warn them lol.
But if Good Time is the voice of reason here. . .

True Dat,
In fact, virtually nobody on this board is addressing the Taylor situation by talking about Ballard's position. Its Irsay. Irsay has once again put himself in the position as representing the Colts when it comes to personnel decisions.
CB pretty much seems like a manakin at this point at least in this deal.
Who knows what's going on in Good Time Jimmy's org right now though.

I have yet to observe his intellectual, or physical commitment to being a good blocker. I want the moon, but a 3rd and a 5th would sate me.
It's neither one of those things. JT doesn't have great lateral quickness. That is the key to pass pro for an RB. It doesn't matter how much he works on it, it's always going to be deficiency. Henry isn't very good at it for the same reason. Lack of lateral quickness.

I tend to think he will end up playing for the Colts but your logic is badly flawed. Badly flawed.
