If you have YouTube ( not YouTube tv) you can search and watch footage of the 1970 Unitas led Colts . I've watched the Colts vs Jets, Dolphins and first ever AFC Championship game vs the Raiders. The AFCCG was in old Memorial Stadium and played on a basically all dirt field.

Yes, have watched lot on old Colts.

  2. Nadine, if this is not ok, I apologize.

Can any of you guys explain all the ways I  can watch Colts games this season from North Carolina. Have been doing so through Direct TV NFL Sunday Ticket. Any help is great appreciated.

  3. Became a Colts fan at 14 in 1964 watching Unitas, Moore, Berry and Orr, and company beat the Bears 52-0 and  beat their nemesis, the Packers in 2 close games. They compiled a 12-2 record winning their division after a 5 yr drought. Shed a few tears when Browns shut them out for the title. Was upset at their playoff loss to the Packers in 65 on that infamous field goal. Was unfathomable in 67 how they were shut out of the playoffs with only 1 loss. She’d couple of more tears. Then the great season in 68 and without Unitas. She’d more tears after that final game of the year. Then winning what some called a terrible game in Super Bowl V which I call a great defensive game. No tears this time!!!  Then enjoyed watching Bert , Lydell and all the those guys  play. Admit I was very upset for long time after theyslinked out of Baltimore under the the cover of darkness, but eventually came around. Have never and don’t anticipate being able to ever come attend and watch in person, but do watch every game from afar in North Carolina. Enjoyed the Peyton yrs and the healthy Luck yrs. Sad but can’t fault his decision to retire as I know what chronic pain from serious injury is like. Still love the classic, classy uniforms and hope they never change. Even the home state Panthers, 45 miles away are second fiddle to the Colts in my life.

GO COLTS!!! But make it quick, please. Don’t know how much longer I can hang around at this age.

Frankly, I can't wait to talk about this. Since Reich is already game planning, we can talk about it too.

I know many of you are eager to turn the tide against the Pats. I understand. But my ghosts go way back. I want the Colts to get a W at Heinz Field more than any other place, against any other team. Jimmy struggled against them. So did Peyton. So did Luck.

    Pittsburgh Steelers lead series 24-6-0

Need I say more? Ok, I will. The Colts played them 25 times between 1950 and 2008. In those games, we scored more the 24 points.......2 times.

How many times have we won in Pittsburgh in 69 years?.........................Twice.

With all the mojo I can muster, Go Colts!!!!

I would like that as well. As you indicated, but did not mention, Bert Jones can be added to that list of names as he ran into that buzz saw of the 70's Steelers.

With the injuries, i guess 4 TEs was a luxury we couldnt afford.

MAC has showed he can be a nice weapon and he blocks pretty well.  I liked Hale (will the small sample size), but i understand the move, and i think his "type" arent that difficult to find.

In future, we nay wish we had him, but i really dont see his addition or subtraction affecting this team all that much. 4 TEs was a luxury Ballard did because he liked him and knew he wouldnt last on the PS.  Taylor was brought in because of injuries and i'd say it was a great move.  We didnt miss Hale in the game, but one could argue we may have needed Taylor to pull off the win.  He was a piece of an overall gameplan that was necessary i think.

And hey, theres always Ross Travis who somecaround here had above Hale. (Or was he injured? I lose track)

Travis was cut when we kept Hentges. And I believe someone else signed him.

If you remember back to the unofficial depth charts, Lewis was actually listed ahead of Hunt on the depth chart, but he's really taken a step back so they had to put Hunt in there.

I do forsee Stewart taking over as the starter before too long, or if not the starter at least taking more snaps.  His (Stewarts) snap count has gone from 20% to 41% to 52% in the first three weeks.  I think right around 60% will be a good number for him.

Lewis on the other hand was a scratch week 1, saw 53% of the snaps week 2 and 13% week 3.  That, too me, is telling because the Colts really could have used pass rush help but they do not think Lewis is that player... at least not yet.

Lewis' count was down in the last game because he was injured early, not from a decision or plan regarding number of plays.

Agree on this. Fans want to point to the missed FGs and penalties as reasons they should have won this game...and that's valid to an extent. However, the Colts caught some huge breaks as well...with King muffing a punt and Rivers throwing that duck on 2nd and goal. If not for that INT, the LAC offense would have scored 4 TDs and a FG on their past 6 possessions...and the game is probably over at that point and then JB has to do his best Luck impersonation to try and score 15 points late in the game...which we have not yet seen.

Yes, we got some breaks, but so did Chargers get some breaks from our misfortunes. That's football.

Luck had several games that we won with those Rypes of numbers last year. JB has. 77% completion tonight and should of had 3 TD. His passé rating was also over 100. That chargers dline only got two sacks.

In the 2nd half, the running game nullified the Charger's pass rush. I wonder if that that was the intent.

So, of course,  with Colts Nation,  we're al going to be pulling for our favorite team.

But this year,  with the Redskins 2nd round pick,  we now have another team to root for....

So,  every week of this season,  your TWO favorite teams to root for....    are the Colts....    and whoever is playing Washington!     You want that team to win as much as you want the Colts!      This week,  it's Philadelphia.     Go Eagles!

Tenatively,  I've got the Skins pick for us to be around 40 or so.    Could be higher or lower.    But 40 seems like a somewhat safe projection.....

    Let the fun begin!

But that would make my Dad roll over in his grave mad at me for doing so against his Redskins!!!

I think Campbell will have more yards and catches but Cain will have more big time catches and TD's

I believe they bringing Cain back slowly to be cautious. But started hearing more an positive things toward en of camp and pre-season.

    Great question!

I don't know who that guy is, but they are playing with fire not having better OL depth. I said it before, but Andrews looks terrible, and Leraven Clark should be way better than how he is now.

I believe he is talking about OT Matt Khalil, brother of former Carolina Panther center Ryan Khalil. he was cut the other day, don't remember by who.
