  1. Not sure about Menaa. I go to their weekly meetings and I haven't seen him yet, lol!!!
  2. JT is a brilliant man. He is driving this train and no one to blame but himself.
  3. I am not necessarily believing that Ballard is trying to salvage the situation. I think it is well beyond repair. I am on record that they would not get a lot in terms of trade offers . We heard a couple of teams kicked the tires but I am not sure they even made an offer of any draft picks. I think what Ballard is hoping for is an injury to a teams rb snd then they turn to the Colts, and then Ballard has some leverage. I totally believe that Ballard would have pulled the trigger on even a 3rd rounder. I really believe that no team even made an offer. Taylor was probably not willing to play under his current dealt. Therefore, no offer was made. Just my feeling.
  4. Didn't see that and I am wrong bout Pakcers reaching out. That being said, I bet it was a low pick I'd it e sn made it that far. I vrt thr conversation probably started with asking if Taylor would player under current dealsnd his camp said no.. Exploratory to me does not mean offering a huge contract as reported by some.
  5. K that makes absolutely no sense. They just extended Jones who is a more complete back and they paid him $500,000.00 for a roster bonus, I believe. So they will trade for Taylor and pay him big money? That's why people like her have no credibility.
  6. Listened to Lombari's pod cast just a minute ago. He said that the Colts are probably shocked at Taylor and his agent's behavior over the last month or so. He doesn't see how even money can fix this situation. There were no offers that were substantive. Teams were offering penny's on the dollar and that Ballard was even counter offering but no one was biting. Is Taylor a good player? Yes he is but he had a down year last year. There was no guarantee that Taylor would play out this year on current contract. He said that the agent was fueling a lot of the supposed interest and the draft choices that were being offered. He will miss 4 games and that is going to further devalue Taylor. If there was a good deal out there, the Colts would have taken it. He highly doubts the Green Bay interest as they just did Jones contract and he got a $500,000.00 roster bonus and it is not the way the GM does business. The rb market is what it is and more times than not, they do not play out their 2nd contracts. Even though Taylor is an adult, it sounds like the agent really messed this up. The Colts let him seek a trade as they wanted to show Taylor his true value and contrary to the multiple picks that were apparently being offered, it sounds like teams were offering very low picks. If interested you can go to GM Shuffle pod cast. Oh and he was right on Trey Lance. Was right on Taylor going on the PUP and recently said that Zona wont play Murray and it sounds like stuff coming out of Zona that they wont be playing him when he comes back from injury. Total rebuild in Zona
  7. Agreed. I don't buy that at all. Jones is a complete back. https://coltswire.usatoday.com/2023/08/29/indianapolis-colts-jonathan-taylor-trade-suspension-consider-hold-in/?itm_medium=recirc&itm_source=taboola&itm_campaign=internal&itm_content=MobileBelowArticleFeed-SMG
  8. i guess maybe i was right again as i said last week. He is done as a Colt
  9. Read more about who Schefner is. He's kind of sleaze ball. He's a conduit to the agent. He plays both side ls, and both agents and teams use him when needed.
  10. I think when Ballard drafted Taylor, they envisioned some that of old style offense. The focus of the O being on line and rb. That's drastically changed under Steichen. I really don'tblame Ballard for adressing Reich's need thru the draft. Plus, I just think Taylor's contract extension came at a bad time. The RB market has fallen.
  11. Jacobs and Barkley are all around better backs than Taylor. I would put them in the same category in running ability but he is behind both in terms of pass catching and pass blocking. They are getting about 12 million a year and were not offered 2nd contracts. So why in the ... would the Colts offer the same amount of money and extend him? I have always said Taylor and his agent miscalculated his value in the NFL and especially to the Colts. New scheme, new coach, Ballard burned by recent contracts, RB market is what it is and Taylor over values himself as a RB in today's NFL. 5-10 years ago, he may have gotten what he wanted but the NFL has changed a lot in terms of what it asks from its RB's. I mean Taylor is a guy you cannot say that he is a 4 down back. There are certain situations where the Colts would be forced to take him out of the game because of his poor pass blocking and average pass catching. U cannot say the same for Jacobs and Barkley.
  12. Teams will just move on if RB's try this. Colts in some ways have to take a stand and I think Irsay and Ballard know this. They bend and then every RB could try this. They stand pat and teams will stand pat and give the Colts a pat on the back. They cannot start a trend and as you have seen, Irsay is a staunch supporter of the collective bargaining agreement.
  13. They just late their back walk for like 6 million a year and u think they are going to trade for Taylor and give him north of 19 mill a year? Saunders was a better fit for their offence is than Taylor would be!!
  14. Listened to his podcast and this is a summary. He basically said that it sounds like Holder is working for the agent. He is pretty tuned into the league and he said it is very quiet and does not expect anything. He said that nobody wants your problem. He did not play all that well last year, he is not a great pass blocker, he fumbled last year, he's s presenting himself as a malcontent this , he was rated the 24 rated RB last year, but he does run the ball well. He says that the agent is out there putting it out there that there is is a lot of interest and he is trying to force Ballard into making a trade. He said what team is going to reward a player like Taylor and give up draft capital and make him the highest paid RB? He feels that a trade would have been done by now and said that he feels that he will remain on the PUP and the Colts will continue to move forward. They will either get more backs or that back is on the roster. U can go to GM Shuffle and listen to the whole podcast.
  15. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-rb-josh-jacobs-agrees-to-terms-on-one-year-contract-worth-up-to-12-milli It keeps worse and worse for JT. The marker has spoke. Jacobs is a legitimate top 3 back and look what he juat got paid!!!! I doubt Miami came close to what the Colts were asking. I have always said a 4th and tops a 3rd they offered.
  16. Agree but still . The agreement from Miami would be, U want a first but u r not willing to extend him. So in essence Colts, u do not value him that high. That being said, I do think the Colts would take less than a first. If they are sticking to a 1st, then its foolish if their intent is to truly get rid of him and no desire to extend him. Lot of games put there. Also Miami would never give them a 1st cause that would also signal how valuable they value Taylor and then feel forced to pay him as,such.
  17. Thr Colts have to know that they will never see a 1st rounder for Taylor. The market says they won't. However, and ai have tought this thru lol. If the Colts r asking for a number 1 then can't Taylor go back to the Colts and say this. " U value me as a 1st rounder then why won't u pay me as one?" Just saying .
  18. Really!?!?!. My point is that I don't think Ballard is safe if this roster does not perform, they have a horrible season with a weak schedule and Richardson was one of the few bright spots.
  19. Huh. The Eagles trade Wentz to the Colts. The Colts lost Luck. My point is both teams had to start over.
  20. I wonder if Ballard is even safe after this year? I truly believe Steichen signed off on Richardson. That was more on him than Ballard. Let's say Richardson balls out and shows he is the future, but no players from Ballard's recent drafts show they are quality players. U never know, Steichen may take over if he has shown Irsay that he knows what he is doing. I mean, why would the Colts need Ballard if Steichen was the reason for their success and Ballard's drafts netted nothing tangible. Their could be a power struggle if Steichen wanted more control, and I think Steichen easily wins. Steichen could also be eyeing someone from the Philly organization that he covets. I'm just saying.
  21. Come on man!! It's Frank's fault and if we end up picking in the top 5 it is because of our rookie qb. I just thought Ballard amassed such premium talent that even Brock Osweiler could win a superbowl with Indy?
