  1. I think it has to more with the role he plays in the offense. When u predominantly play on the outside, you for the most part need elite traits as u r going up against elite talented corners. That's why I laughed when Welker was getting 140 catches a year and people were say he was elite. I was like then stick him on the outside and see how elite he is. It is a different skill set to play the slot or inside.
  2. Did u really expect him to ever be the same player?
  3. It would be quite similar to players siting out bowl games. It was shocking when one player did it. However, it is now almost an epidemic lol. I would live to see it happen just because I would love to see Goodell talk crap about the integrity of the game. U know the integrity of the Pats, Arizona and past Washington owner.
  4. I disagree. It is probably the only time a player has total leverage. Once he goes to the NFL, he ends up on the worst team and usually disguarded 4 years later because the structure of that team is a disaster from the GM to the coaches. He can sit there and say to the Bears that if they pick him up, he goes back to college. Now the Bears would still pick him and then trade him to a team that Williams covets. I say go for it. I would actually love to see it happen. Could u imagine if say the top 10 players or so did this? It would throw a wrench into the draft and make it obsolete. For example. Let's say Harrison was picked in the top 5. He says to say AArizona hat he will only play for the Colts like his dad. Arizona is kinda behind the 8 ball. Sure they can play hard ball but can they go into 2024 with a top 3 pick sitting on the bench refusing to play? I am actually shocked that more players haven't done this. If Williams does this, all it would take is a couple more and the draft is in serious trouble.
  5. It is difficult to double in this scheme
  6. Taylor needs to just play. Steichen is building a good thing here. Any chatter from JT, and I think they send him one with a 12 month Netflix subscription.
  7. Kind of like Leonard then now Franklin and Speed hitting his stride lol
  8. Nope. I think a player loses the distinction of being elite when he leaves and the guys who replace him put up similar production. That's when it is scheme.
  9. Lol. Then if he is so elite, throw him out there on the outside and see how he does against the opposing teams best corner
  10. What is it about Puka that tells u he has elite traits? It is the system.
  11. Qb and rbs are good. Oline is improving. Dline performs well against average to below average Olines. Wrs a huge disappointment and I like our te group. Lbs r strong.
  12. We don't have the front four that Tampa and Seattle had. The major factor is that it is an out dated scheme. I honestly think this. I beleive Richardson is showing a lot and seems to be the future. That being said, he is not being helped out by the skill players drafted by Ballard. There maybe a power struggle where Steichen will wow Irsay and it is quite evident that this team is lacking talent at key positions. Steichen is going to scrap this D and then ask yourself this. What role and value would Ballard have going forward? Steichen is type A and there is no doubt that he is not going to let anyone stand in his way of achieving success. He will probably view Ballard as an average talent evaluator and he has a lot of friends in that Eagle front office.
  13. Do u ever ask yourself this. Maybe Kupp and Puka are not elite and maybe just coached by an elite coach who knows how to use him? Puka is just a guy at the right spot at the right time.
  14. When the strength or your team is at the LB postion in today's NFL, u r in trouble.
  15. U dont double tem in this scheme.
  16. This I will tell u. I am not sure about. U look around the league, and this system is not in vogue anymore. It had its time with Seattle, and they had all pros everywhere. Qbs are too good now a days to play primarily zone all day against them. This D relies on thr front 3 to get pressure. If they don't, u r in big trouble cause the corners cannot play man. That is not strength. It's a simple D scheme to run and s simple scheme to beat if u don't have at least 2 all pros on the Dline.
  17. What's even worse is that they don't have elite wrs. They just look for the soft spots in the zone.
  18. People have to remember, secondary players in this D,, dontvexcell in man coverage. They have to play as a unit and when they don't, its disastrous.
  19. How can u take our cats as u say and make them better? We don't have man corners. Our lbs and Dljne are smallish for his system. It would be a complete over haul and not simply Ryan using a magic wand. U remember what happened when they fired Pagano? He ran the Baltimore D, which Ryan runs. Ballard did a complete over haul and got players to fit this defensive scheme.
  20. U haven't got the players to run Ryan's defense. He attacks and relies heavily in his man corners. It would be a complete over haul, so I disagree with u. Plus, thr Dline is smallish as are the lbs to run his scheme. U haven't got the players to run Ryan's defense. He attacks and relies heavily in his man corners. 21. The amount of wasted picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds is staggering
  22. The secondary is what it is in this scheme. U don't get pressure, and u get torched. It is just a scheme I detest, and I have been saying it for years now. U could tell Stafford was hurt, and that is the only reason why the D looked good in the 2nd half. He appeared to get it together on that drive and same old. I bet Steichen dumps Bradley and this scheme after the season. I truly think that is why they interviewed so many D coaches this year. Peirce has been a huge disappointment and this team cannot develop any wrs to become legit threats. That's the most disappointing aspect of this team. I really thought Peirce was going to be the guy. Huge disappointment. Seems like the game is to big for him
